I don't know when I become lucid exactly as the first part of this dream is hazy. I think I must have been at least semi-lucid for a bit until I fully realized it was a dream.
I am in some office building. There are chairs and a couch to wait and a long rounded counter with three young women working behind it. The look of it reminds me of something like the county tax assessors office at the courthouse in Carthage, MO. The look and feel is the same and the building looks just as old.
I think there was something about... I was trying to get someone to help me but for some reason they chose to ignore me. I get annoyed and sit back down.
Then an elderly black man in an old school suit and fedora comes in and starts talking to the women at the counter. He looks a lot like Morgan Freeman but says he is Jesus. This gets my attention.
I am fully lucid now and standing next to him. I ask him shocked, "Did you just say you were Jesus?"
He's several inches taller than me and has to look down to answer, "That's right."
I remember I am standing there in just my boxer-briefs and make a weak attempt to cover myself. "Oh well I guess I should be more dressed but I think it's OK since I am really in my bed. This is a dream."
Jesus gives me a half smile and a knowing look and gets back to talking to the women. "Now, what I was sayin' was, Everyone's clicking along like an old dog...tryin' to find their way... But they all got something missing. You ain't gonna get nowhere without Jesus."
I interrupt him now though he looks finished, "OK wait. Let me make sure I'm going to remember this." I recite the words back to him, "Everyone's clicking along like an old dog...tryin' to find their way... But they all got something missing. Uhhh... what was the last part."
Now, Jesus looks like he can't remember what he just said and I find this to be a flaw. I suppose he really is just a dream character after all. He scrunches his face and hisses through his teeth like he is trying so hard to remember. "Oh Jesus help me", he says.
"Oh wait" I blurt out the rest of the words, "You ain't gonna get nowhere without Jesus. I got it."
Jesus smiles, gives me another knowing look and looks satisfied. Was he just toying with me there? He turns to the women behind the counter. "Now. Get this man an account." He puts his fedora on and turns to leave.
"Hey wait.", I say. Jesus pauses. "Ummm. Well... Why do you look..."
Jesus' head snaps around and he gives me a half-joking scolding look.
I figure he knows anyway I might as well just ask. "I'm just going to say it. Why are you a black man?"
Jesus shrugs and leaves me to figure it out waiting patiently.
I say, "Oh because you're Jesus and you can take any form you want!"
Jesus tips his hat and smiles and walks away.
I turn to the women behind the counter buy they are hurriedly getting things together to leave for the day. I guess I don't really need an account? Not wanting the dream to end and forgetting all my goals now, I say, "Hey! What do you want to do now?
The one that I just seem to know as Megan says, "Play paintball!"
"Oh well I..." I stop myself thinking of Jesus' visit.
"What?"
"Oh I was going to say something inappropriate but I don't think Jesus would appreciate that."
Megan laughs, "Oh well you better keep it to yourself."
The dream seems to be starting to fade now but I suddenly remember part of my task. It was something to do with intelligent DCs. I decide to just test one of the ladies. I see and plain yet attractive brunette sitting on the couch waiting for the other girls. There is a tall window behind her letting in sunlight. The room looks slightly smoky. I walk to her. "Hey, what's your name?"
Megan sarcastically yells from the back room, "Uh MEGAN."
"Not you. Her."
The brunette answers, "Kaysha"
"What?"
"Kaysha."
I find the name odd and it feel a little like I forced her to say a random name. "Ok Kaysha. Who are you?"
Kaysha immediately responds, "The administrator."
"The administrator... Yeah that's not what I meant. Who are you personally?" As soon as I asks that Kaysha, along with the other two, including Megan, shut down and becomes silent and lifeless. I pat her leg with mock sympathy but mostly for stability as now the dream is getting really dark. I continue now with a mocking tone. "See? That's what I'm talking about. It's OK Kaysha. It's OK.
The dream fades and I allow myself to wake up to recall the dream.
