August 12, 2013 (Nap Dream)

Mom and I were sitting at a table doing one another’s make-up. She put these really crazy colors on me, like a rainbow and when I looked in the mirror I just busted up laughing, because it looked so funny. She got offended a little and asked what was so funny. I could tell that I hurt her feelings, so I stopped laughing and said nothing really, I was just messing with you; it looks really nice mom. When it was my turn to put her makeup on I didn’t know what to do. So I just decided to put it on like I normally would put on makeup. She looked in the mirror and started laughing hysterically. I was like, what’s so funny, mom? She said it was just all the colors looked so strange. Not understanding what she meant, I swiveled her chair around to face me, so I could see her makeup. It looked normal to me, a neutral look. I didn’t say anything, and just turned her back towards her mirror. When I glanced in the mirror though, all her makeup was different colors, and it did look funny! It kind of freaked me out and I felt a bit spooked with things looking different in the mirror than they did in real life.

The next part of my dream, I was sharing dinner with a friend, although I don’t remember who he was. I don’t recognize him from real life, but in my dream he was a good friend. I asked him what he was dreaming about and he said that he had funny dreams most of the time. He shared some of them with me, and we were laughing together. Then he looked at me and got all serious. He said isn’t there something that you’re forgetting right now? I thought about it but couldn’t figure out what he was talking about. So I asked him what do you mean? He told me to think harder and I could come up with the answer by myself. Then before I could question him anymore, he got up and walked away.

All of a sudden I was outside and it was raining. I heard that guy’s voice again, but I couldn’t see him anywhere. He asked me if I knew yet. I was like…know what?? The voice asked me, what would you like to see happen right now. Since it was raining and I was getting soaked, I said I’d like it to be sunny and warm outside. The instant I said it, the rain stopped and it was a beautiful sunny day. Blue skies and I was dry instead of wet. I didn’t say anything, was too busy looking around and trying to figure out what was going on. From down the street he came walking towards me. He looked really mysterious, but not scary. Once he got to me, he said to me, you know what I did right? I answered yes, you made the rain stop. Then he told me, no I didn’t do that, you did. What are you forgetting right now? As soon as he said that I knew what he meant, and I smiled. I looked at him and said you’re lucid aren’t you? Then I woke up.

*Now that was a really awesome dream. I love the way my DC was giving me clues that I was dreaming and could be lucid if I would only remember. At least that’s how I interpreted my dream. Maybe that could possibly mean I’m getting closer to becoming lucid. *
