Side Notes
Again I cannot remember any of my dream, even after laying in bed trying to recall it for 15 minutes. I think it's the fact that I have to go to bed around 11 or 12 because of the amount of homework I have, and I have to wake up at 6:15 to get ready for school in time. I think the not remembering dreams is because I haven't been getting enough sleep. I had a light amount of homework today so I'm going to go to bed around 9 tonight and get a lot more sleep than I normally do. Hopefully this will let me remember at least one good dream. Wish me luck!
I am so mad at school right now. Not only do I have a ton of work and no time for anything fun, but it is ruining my dream recall. Today my alarm went off at 6:15 like every day. I woke up and I didn't even have the slightest image of a dream. I laid there for a second while the radio played, trying to conjure up any image from my dream, no matter how small. I couldn't think of ANYTHING. I got up and turned off my alarm (it's on the other side of my room so I don't just fall asleep) and decided to crawl into bed again for a moment to try and remember my dream. Suddenly it was 7:00 and I still had not even one image from a dream. I was also late and had to rush to get ready and to my carpool before we'd be late. My recall is pretty weird in that a lot of days I'll remember a single image or just a general idea of the dream in the morning and then remember more and more as the day goes on. Sometimes this even works when I don't remember anything at all. Sadly, this was not the case. I remember nothing from last night. If anyone happens to read this, I was wondering if anyone had advice on keeping your dream recall up on school days. I remembered two in pretty good detail each day over the weekend (and last Thursday when I had a day off from school) but I can barely remember anything on school days. Even in the past when I've kept dream journals for weeks I would barely remember anything on weekdays. Is there anything specific I could do to help with this? I'm never going to make any progress if I can only recall dreams 2/7 days a week.
Before I get to the actual dream part, I have realized something about my dream. I only dream about people I'm friend with but not that close with unless it is a dream about a big group of people. I don't know why, but it is only people that I'm not that close with. The friends in both of my dreams yesterday, and my dream I will be posting right now are all my friends, but mostly at school or in group situations. Just an observation. I only remembered one dream most likely because of waking up at 6 instead of 11. On weekends I naturally dream chain, but never lucidly. I just wake up about ever hour or so and end up remembering more dreams. Dream 1: Pillows and an Orange Sauce I was video chatting with this girl in my grade (who I was actually supposed to video chat with last night and didn't end up doing) and then she invited me to her house. All of a sudden I was at her house. Her walls were this dark shade of bright blue and the carpet was light grey. There was a navy plaid pillow sitting on the floor near the door with her 17 inch old (circa 2007) macbook pro (yes I know the model of her dream computer) sitting on top of it open to a video chat screen with just her picture on it. There was no bed in the room, just various pillows sprinkled around the room like islands in a sea. There was a flat screen TV on the wall to the left of the door, and the wall directly in front of you when you walked in was 90% window (or sliding glass door to a patio). The room looked very similar to my friend's older brother's room. Some random other girl was there too. I remember jumping over a bunch of pillows for some game or dance and then ordering chinese food. Then all of a sudden there was this orange sweet and sour sauce all over one of the pillows. Then this boy in my class that I kind of like showed up on the patio. We let him in and he just starts pointing at the sweet and sour sauce saying, "it's on the pillow!"
