friends and proofreader; nakadate fan; finding a replacement

    Good morning, everybody.

    Dream #1

I was with a group of friends who may have looked like co-workers of mine. We were in a house that looked my great-grandmother's house. My friends were all shying away from me because of something I'd written. It was a fanfic for some fetish website, but it was also a work that I wanted to prepare for publication.

Everybody left me, and even left the room that I was in, because they were all so disgusted with what I'd written. It was probably a story about adults wearing diapers.

One last woman, whom I didn't know, remained in the room. She was pretty and blonde. She had been hired by somebody to proofread what I had written. She read the work, which was now all printed out.

Time passed. I understood somehow that the woman was kind of grossed out by what I'd written, but that she'd gotten over it and proofread my story. She went through the story with me. Every page was full of red markings. I decided to go with all of her criticisms because she really seemed to know what she was talking about.

    Dream #2

I was in a slightly busy area like a conference hall or a high school gym set up for a big event. I sat on the floor before some kind of small table. A woman sat next to me, explaining how to do something regarding art.

At some point, something she'd said reminded me of Laurel Nakadate. I asked the woman if she liked Laurel Nakadate. She looked at me in such a calm yet serious way that I thought she was going to tell me she actually knew Nakadate.

Suddenly, an older, nerdy man who had been sitting at a computer nearby stood up, turned around, and started giving some big, long speech. The man was pale, with balding, red hair and a red mustache. He wore a maroon, button-up shirt and big, square glasses.

For some reason I stood up and listened to the guy, as if I felt obliged to do so. But at some point I realized the man was just wasting my time, getting me away from the girl because he was jealous that she was paying attention to me.

Still listening to the man out of obligation, I tried to get back to the woman. But it was obvious she was quickly losing interest in me.

    Dream #3

I was part of something like an office mixed with a theatre company. I had finished performing something very well. I was apparently a very good performer.

But now I was trying to sneak away from the whole situation. I wanted to leave. But I knew that if I tried to leave in any direct way, the higher ups would keep me in the building.

So I snuck down a back stairwell and down to a basement. A black man may have seen me heading in this direction. I was a little worried that he might tell on me.

In the basement I knelt down and opened a very small, black-painted, steel door. It went to the outside. I suddenly remembered that this was the way I'd come into this building, when I'd started my career here.

I thought, Wouldn't it be great if I could find somebody like me and let them in here through the back door? Then nobody would miss me once I was gone. I determined that I would try to find a replacement.

It was a tight squeeze, but I made it outside. I had to walk up a small, concrete staircase. I was then in something like a big lawn. A black man, slightly older than I, with greying hair, walked along the sidewalk bordering the lawn. I thought he might be my replacement. But something about him made me afraid to look at him.

I was now walking on a fence, which was more like a cable strung along between trees. I was balancing myself by holding on to another cable above me. As I walked along, I noticed how beautiful all the trees were. They were changing colors for the fall. Some were red. Others were pink. Some were pale yellow.
