I slept really hard last night, and my dreams are hazy fragments. I'm going to attempt to put them into words though Dream One: I'm in a car with my husband and children. We're driving around an abandoned gas station. Everything has a red and rusty quality to it, and I remember thinking it all looked really beautiful in it's decay, like something you'd see in a movie where they've used a special camera lens to emphasis the red. I'm on the phone, I think with my mom, and she's asking us about the gas station. She's telling us there's one pump there that still works, but we're having a hard time finding it. Then we drive by some shiny new looking pumps, but don't stop. My notes also say "TV filming, school papers" but I'm not sure what that was about, I just can't remember. Dream Two: I'm in a cafeteria. It reminds me of my Elementary school cafeteria, but they bulldozed that place 13 years ago, lol. I'm sitting with a guy, his hair is dark, and about as long as mine. He's not the strong and manly type guy that are usually in my dreams, but rather shy and sweet. We're watching a video of an anime convention on my phone. We're watching as my grandma and my mom are at this convention trying to win some sort of crown. My grandma wants to win it for my daughter, but my mom wants to win it and keep it for herself. My mom wins, and grandma is very upset. Suddenly, there's some sort of attack on the cafeteria. The guy's leg is hurt, so I throw his arm over my shoulder and try to help him hobble out. we rush out of the school and there are people running everywhere freaking out. We pass my dad who I just know is a teacher in this dream, and my dad is going to lock himself in his office. He tells us to be careful and go straight home. We pass my mom too, and I ignore her. I'm pretty fed up with her greed in real life, and the crap with the crown in the dream just made it that much worse. We get out to the car, and I helped the guy into it. I take him home and drop him off, but then go to Mcdonalds instead of home. When I get to Mcdonalds my husband and kids are siting at a table eating. I place an order, and the guy behind the counter says something suggestive to which my husband tells him to back off. I get the feeling my husband and the guy are friends and I just don't know him. There's a lot of dialog that I can't much remember, but I remember the topic of miniskirts coming up, and my husband saying he hates mini skirts and glaring at me when he says it. In the dream, I am wearing a mini skirt, but I'm confused because he's always loved them (what guy doesn't? lol) At some point an employee leaves, and then the friend of my husbands says he needed to tell the employee something and asks my husbands permission to run outside. My husband lets him, and he runs out to chase the guys car. He comes back and starts talking again though. The topic moves on to Kingdom Hearts, and this friend of my husbands wants to play the games. I ask him what platforms he needs the games for because we have all of them except the 3DS game that isn't even out yet. Just as I ask some bitchy girls yell over at us that the radio is too damn loud, and if we work there we need to turn it down. My husband sighs and gets up and goes to turn off the radio. I somehow realize he must be doing IT work for the Mcdonalds and that's why he knows everyone there so well and is even going back to deal with the radio. When my husband disappears into the back, the friend jumps up and says he didn't take his meds and he can't control himself anymore! He starts going crazy, dry humping the tables and chairs and then starts coming after me! I push him back and tell him to knock it off. He's not stopping and I'm getting really annoyed and embarrassed, and I wake up. Looking back, the guy totally reminds me of a kid I went to school with who was on Ritalin for ADHD. Pretty sure that part of the dream was a direct result of me being overly aware of my own ADD yesterday, and my sub conscious expressing my fear of how people might see me. I'm not hyperactive or anything, but my attention and conversations really jump around. It's like that old joke, where someone's talking and stops mid sentence to say, "Oh look a squirrel!" then goes right back on topic.
