1. Graveyard in the desert

      by , 05-27-2011 at 06:07 PM (Raphael's dream journal)
This was a very Mortal Kombat inspired dream. It was one of those things where I'm watching it like a movie, but have control over some of the characters at points. So it takes place in the desert, kind of resembling the MK desert stage, but it's around 8pm and getting pretty dark. There's an area of the desert that has a seemingly endless collection of dead bodies, some decaying, some mere skeletons. They're hung on these wooden frames, like they were tortured before death (resembling the Krypt section in the new MK game). All the bodies are very sectioned off from the rest of the desert.

About 50 yards away from beginning of that section is a small village area, medieval-esque. Fights are constantly breaking out in the village, and you can watch people batting with swords in this big ravine area that runs between the Krypt area and the village. There's a rule set-up, you can battle and kill someone without consequence, as long as you put the body in the ravine, that way it can be buried by the sorcerer in order to keep the place clean and tidy. I don't remember what the sorcerer looked like, but he had powers similar to Quan Chi. He could raise the dead, and make huge skeleton hands come out of the ground. When you end up winning a battle and killing your opponent, the sorcerer doesn't wait for the winner to get out of the ravine, he immediately raises up the sand with his powers, and sometimes ends up burying the winner alive if he doesn't get out fast enough. The sand also turns much darker once it's raised, and skeletons can be seen protruding from it.

The last thing I remember was this big battle happening between 3 or 4 Shang Tsuns, they were resurrected from the krypt by the sorcerer. They kept opening up portals and jumping through them in order to teleport around the battle area. As this was happening I woke up really suddenly, and that was it.

It was the best dream I've had in a long time, I just wish I could remember the beginning part leading up to the desert area. Oh well, I will definitely be returning to the desert in my next LD. ~

    2. Lightsaber dual/ ski slopes

      by , 03-16-2011 at 09:26 PM (Raphael's dream journal)
For the first part of the dream I remember watching watching Obi-Wan Kenobi battling this big droid with 4 lightsabers, like from Episode III. In my dream, Obi-Wan was wielding 2 lightsabers, and the battle was taking place in this dark circular room, with a bunch of people gathered around watching.

This battle went on for a really long time, and my perspective was always changing, like a movie. Obi-Wan would turn off his lightsabers a lot to try and confuse the droid, and then turn them on when he got close, and they'd go into the droid's sides. I woke up at some point during all of this.

In my next dream I found myself on a ski slope, with skis on. Which is odd because I haven't skied since I was little, I'm a snowboarder. Anyways, my mom was there and we were skiing down this huge never-ending hill together. I was going so fast, and I could do all these crazy tricks like skiing on one foot and doing a 360 as I'm flying down the hill. I remember there was this other section where there was a bunch of little bumps in the snow and I could get crazy air off of them, even when I was going slightly uphill at parts. Eventually I was going so fast it was insane. I was in a third person perspective at this point, and was leaning really hard in order to turn. I was starting to get afraid that I would fall and get really messed up, due to the speed I was going.

I see the road approaching as I'm coming down the hill, and there's a frozen lake off to the left of it. I aim for the lake, and it cracks under me, but I'm going too fast to get wet. But I fall over to my side and skid out onto the road. Then I tumble like crazy (I'm still watching this happen to me from a third person perspective), and I when I stop rolling I can see my mom coming down the hill towards me. My body is pretty limp, but I start mumbling something. She picks up my head and there's a bunch of red snow under it from the blood. I could feel my dream fogging up and coming to and end at this point, and then I woke up. ~

    3. The Desert

      by , 03-15-2011 at 09:20 PM (Raphael's dream journal)
Ok so I finally decided to start this thing up.

So today I woke up and immediately had to go run an errand so I didn't have time to write this one down right after waking. It's been about an hour now, so this one will be mostly fragments. Blue = Lucid parts

I remember having to perform a stage play in front of a big auditorium. One of my friends was up there with me and we doing all kinds of crazy shit, we were rolling around and pretending to fight each. People were laughing hysterically. My parents were in the audience taking pictures of us and cheering. After the show my friend and I started walking through this desert area, and we stopped in this Mexican food joint. I ordered a few of those big soft pretzels and my friend ordered something and sat down at a table. After standing there for about what seemed like 10 minutes my food still hadn't been prepared, so I asked the lady behind the counter and she's like "Oh sorry I forgot about you!"

So I sit down at the table with my food finally, and see that my friend had been waiting for me that whole time and hadn't touched his food. So we start eating and talking about the performance. After that I remember we were walking through the desert area again and there were a bunch of bombed out cars.

It reminded me of the movie Jarhead somewhat, except instead of dead charred bodies in the cars, there were men raping each other, and some having consensual gay sex. I became lucid at this part, because I realized why I was seeing this. I had watched a movie last night called Irreversible, and it involved a lot of homo-eroticism. I chose not to take control of the dream, I just looked around at what was happening, it was all strangely calming to me. At this point I don't think the dream was very vivid, and I don't remember what happened after this point. ~
