No order or method to the madness, just random dreams that I found interesting and worth keeping track of.

    1. How to Have More Lucid Dreams - Asking the Subconscious

by , 05-01-2014 at 07:34 PM (Schmaven's Dream Journal of Randomness)
Leading a group of people up a stone stairway, there are many roots and branches obstructing the way. I spontaneously realize I am dreaming, and tell the trees to move. They move, and then come right back. I tell them to move out of the way until we pass by - they move creaking and the roots curl back up into the ground, and leave an unobstructed path up the stairs.

At the top, is a rather large porch type structure, with very ornate boards and railings. On one of the railing posts is a plate, on which sits a single waffle. All the DCs in my dream want waffles, and are hungry. It looks like a nice one, and I think about eating it myself! I comically recall Jesus turning one loaf of bread into many, and decide to do the same with this waffle. Blinking, everyone now has a waffle, and is enjoying a nice breakfast. To summon more waffles, I reach into my pocket, and expect to pull out a waffle each time. This works a few times in a row, then I pull out nothing, but act like it was a waffle, and frisbee an air waffle across the deck. As the pretend waffle leaves my hand, it turns into an actual syrup covered waffle, mid-air. I keep pulling them out of my pocket and throwing them at the DCs, amused at how they only appear once they leave my hand and soar through the air.

With all the DCs pacified, I remember some of my lucid goals from earlier. I verbally asked myself / the dream that I recognized as being created by my own mind the following, "How can I have lucid dreams more often? and what is the best way to communicate with my subconscious?" I then saw a girl walking past the bottom of the stairs to the tree fort I was in. "Hello!" I shouted her way, excited to see this manifestation of my own mind. This scared her and she ran around the corner. I ran after her and apologized, "Sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you, I just have a few questions." as I mentally thought of what I just asked moments ago. In direct answer to how to have more lucid dreams, she told me, "Oxycodon, and Hydrocoma" I don't know what those are, I assumed they were supplements or drugs or something. I wasn't expecting such a technical answer, so I had to repeat them to myself over and over. I just remember how the name sounds, so I spelled it phonetically, I am fairly certain there is another spelling if they exist at all.

I don't want to rely on supplements or drugs, so I clarified my question further, asking her, "How do I have more lucid dreams without taking anything?" She tries to dodge this question by telling me she's cold. My initial reaction is not to turn up the heat to save money, but it's a dream! So I turn the heat up for her. I also use my mind to blast her with comfortable warming energy. She sits on the stairs, looks me directly in the eyes, and says, "When a cancer patient finds the cure, it's not so important that you get it right anymore" I am reminded of the practices of living a lucid life during the day, self awareness and memory. I feel that this is what she is referring to, albeit rather indirectly. I tell her, "I don't want to spend a lot of time doing something that won't work" She looks at me, and non-verbally tells me not to worry about that. She then tries to distract me by asking about a tattoo on my arm. I am still mindful that it is a dream, and that I don't have any tattoos, but since it is a dream, and I could have one in a dream, I look at my arm - still no tattoo.

Laughing at her failed attempts to distract me from knowing it is a dream, I wake up, really having to pee.

    2. Fight with Chucky

by , 04-17-2014 at 11:35 AM (Schmaven's Dream Journal of Randomness)
So I am tied to a giant clock, with my head right where the pendulum swings. Chucky laughs at me as he gets everything in place. Then the pendulum (with spikes on it) swings into my head, knocking it over to the other side, where it hits yet more spikes. After a few rounds of this, I bite on to an edge of the clock, to hold myself out of the way, and manage to get a pry bar from somewhere and attempt to dismantle the clock. Chucky gets in my face now, and reminds me of how he had to remove each one of my ribs with that very pry bar, and he'll do it again if I don't stop. A vivid, painful memory of just that happening flashes in my mind, but I go for the escape anyway.

I jump into a series of rooms, and shut Chucky into one of them, as I run to the next one. Soon, I realize the rooms are connected with a shared bathroom, so I shut the bathroom door on Chucky's side. But there is a hole on the bottom of it, just big enough for him to crawl through, so I shut the other door, but the same sort of hole is there too! Chucky slowly crawls through toward me, laughing an evil laugh as he does so, and talking about how painful it is going to be when he kills me. As he starts to emerge into the room I am hiding in, I bite him in the face! This seems to have hurt him, so I bite him again, taking a big chunk off his head. Since he's having a hard time getting through the hole quickly, I take a few more bites at him until he is sort of dazed by this.

Grabbing Chucky, I crumple him into a ball, and run out of the house, and up the street where there is an outdoor cafe. An older woman looks at me, as if she knows exactly what's going on. She offers me some gravy sauce and biscuits. I sit down at the table next to hers, cover Chucky with gravy sauce, and eat him with biscuits. She gives me another biscuit before she leaves. As I finish off Chucky, I wish there was a more pleasant way to do this than to eat him. Biting into his stomach, I expect a bunch of gross juices to be in there, but it's just hollow, like a doll. Not that gross after all, but really tough to chew. The gravy and biscuits make it easier to swallow.

    3. Miracle Chocolate

by , 04-16-2014 at 04:56 AM (Schmaven's Dream Journal of Randomness)
After recovering a large metal tank that fell from the sky, and driving it to the lab, I monitor a pressure gauge as I adjust the oxygen valve, trying to maintain 1 atmosphere of pressure inside the container. I suspect the gauge is faulty, due to a big lag time in response, and in the wild swings from high to low pressure. A smart man from India tells me that the pressure is really determined by the temperature. I think he's just being a jerk, but can't think of any good comebacks based on PV=nRT, given that the volume is a constant, and I already mentioned the pressure.
Done with the experiment, he starts to wrap up some empty crates to ship back to the warehouse. I go to grab a rope to tie them all together, cut off 4 arm spans worth of it, and return to see he already wrapped it using shrink wrap. Happy that I tried to help, despite disagreeing with him, I walk up the road to relax a bit.

I find a corner to a room, with shelves meeting the wall. It is designated as the "Hollywood Corner" I am surprised that it doesn't smell like alcohol. In fact it smells very clean. It even looks clean. How strange! I tell my friend who is with me that "it's the hollywood corner, and it doesn't smell like beer!" I see some clean boxes of caffeine free soda neatly on the shelf. She is uninterested, but I think this is amazing and tell her friend who is behind her, "You'll never believe this, the Hollywood Corner doesn't smell at all like alcohol!" She is shocked, so I tell her again.
Before I can finish saying it again, my friend starts tickling me. It tickles so much, normally I would have to pee, but I don't. So I give in to being tickled, and don't fight it. She enjoys this and tickles me more!

The tickling gets so intense, that it reaches a whole new level of tickle. Hard to describe. But as a result of being tickled, my mind encompasses my surroundings, and spontaneously manifests itself as chocolate bars, chocolate Easter bunnies, and chocolate eggs, all nicely wrapped. As the tickle intensity further increases, so do the chocolates that appear everywhere around us, on the floor, on the shelf, on the wall. I don't like chocolate, but my friend does

    4. Flying

by , 03-01-2014 at 07:58 PM (Schmaven's Dream Journal of Randomness)
Outside my house, at night, mostly noticing how green everything is. I fill a balloon with air and it floats me above the ground comfortably. "I must be dreaming" I think, and then slowly glide through the house and around the yard. My friend Tim shows up. Wanting to keep him in the dark about my lucid dream to prevent obstacles, I tell him I'm flying because I found the perfect amount to fill the balloon. He seems to believe this, and I continue to fly around.

I maneuver as I would in water, only with no resistance, and the comfort of not holding my breath. Leaning to each direction as I turn, using willpower to accelerate.

    5. Rolling WILD

by , 02-14-2014 at 06:40 PM (Schmaven's Dream Journal of Randomness)
I am in bed (unusual because I sleep on the floor with a foam pad) and feel like I'm about to enter a dream. My whole body starts rocking on its own, a lot of rotation. Buzzing calm sensation in my head. I fall off the bed due to the rocking, climb back in, and have bits of dreams appear to me, I feel them and see them. Dreams within the dream. In the bits of dreams, I know I'm dreaming, having just entered into them, but being so brief, don't do much with it.
    6. Flying

by , 02-14-2014 at 06:37 PM (Schmaven's Dream Journal of Randomness)
I didn't remember this dream at all, not one bit, until I reviewed 5 other dreams in my mind twice, then it jumped out at me!

Walking down the street at night, I start to jump. I can jump really high. Feels dangerous because of the height I then fall back to the pavement. Before I hit the ground on my butt, I stop time. I car in the other lane is frozen, and everything is still for a moment.
"This is usually not possible, I must be dreaming!" I think to myself. I then jump higher and higher, remembering my room mate who says he has dreams like that. Less afraid because I am pretty sure I am dreaming.
Deciding I am in fact dreaming, I notice two other people flying nearby and we all fly straight upwards. They tell me not to fly too far or fast just yet, and to really feel my surroundings to stabilize the dream. I return down to the ground, and fly 5 ft over it superman style. Then I let my toes drag on the pavement and feel the roughness of it. I also notice the warm breeze that feels very comfortable.
The dream area seems quite small. I see a carnival nearby with a lot of lights. Wanting to fly a lot more, I create an unending carnival of lights to focus my attention on as I zoom around.
