Aug 28, To Hell Sans Beer, Almost Advanced

Almost got the advanced task again. I had become lucid earlier as I was being shot at a convenience store. The guy pulled a gun, I stripped it away from him using TK. He pulled another. I walked straight up to him and with obvious fury, commanded him to shoot me (I hate being shot more than anything else in my dreams). He did, it did nothing but hurt. He pissed himself, I shot him in the arm so he couldn't shoot anyone else and walked out.
Something was going on in the parking lot, people were divided into teams. I didn't want to participate and while thinking about what I wanted to do next, remembered the task of the month. I was going to hell. I found a little trailer at the edge of the lot, opened it up and saw a spiraling hole downward. It was a tight fit at first, until I remembered that it was supposed to be easier to get to hell and it opened up wider.
Once there, I met a small little demon who showed me around a bit. He took me along the safer routes. I specifically remember him saying that they didn't get many visitors, to which I responded that I had been there several times before. My recall of the details here are a bit fuzzy. I remember walking through a field of mushrooms that looked like severed human toes. I remember thinking that I shouldn't eat or drink anything from the underworld or else I would be trapped there. I also remember walking past several demons chained up but most were free roaming. I asked if we were going to get to see the devil, to which my guide responded "he's kind of a trouble maker, you don't really want to meet him." but then there he was around the corner.
He was very tall, at least 13 feet. His skin looked like glowing embers and he had two great horns. I ditched the guide and began to follow the devil along a path that was obviously not safe. It wasn't even a path, he just sort of went wherever he wanted. The devil didn't say anything but looked impressed as I walked over hot coals, through burning walls of fire, and even stepped directly on greater demons of fire who wrestled against their chains in protest. It wasn't until I stepped on a demon of ice that I showed any discomfort. At that point, the devil handed me a red hot brand which I could tap against my feet, the heat of which would linger while I walked through the ice.
We had walked for a ways before I remembered that there was something else I had to do... then my alarm went off. No beer.
Sakamoto Kyu, you keep interrupting my quality time with the devil. Grrrr. So close!
