Exploring, Drinking, and Tether-Racing

I am in a forest. There is a rope tied around a tree branch, but the rope is very loose and I pull it off the branch. I decide to do a better job of getting the rope on the branch, so I swing the end around a few times and throw it onto the branch. It loops around the branch and seems to be anchored a little better. Then, another plant explodes into tiny red twigs with dark green leaves (think of a refrigerator tree). I keep one of the twigs.
Next, I'm in a bar (which is odd since I'm under the drinking age) and the bartender has a really really gross bin full of green gunk. He's trying to keep it hidden under the bar. I ask him about a faucet that is also under the bar. He says it is for tap water to add to the beer.
Then, I am participating in a race where everyone has to have a fabric rope tied around their waist. There is a person who seems to be constantly disadvantaged by contrived coincidences, and another person who asks to be duct taped to a giant bouncy ball.
