Wishfulthinker

So as from my previous post you can see that I was persuading into trying to WILD, however so far all three experiences have woken me with a start as I have been scared in all three occurances.

The first occurance is written out in the previous post and was undertaken in the morning at my boyfriend's house.

At about 8:30pm this evening I decided I wanted to give it another go. I put on some pink noise and some 10 minute restless to learning binaural beats. After a while I began to drift into my state of being very relaxed. It took longer than the first time did because I tried to resist the twitching of my limbs that was so desperate to happen. After about 4 minutes of attempting to resist my limb twitches I started to see some images forming in the darkness in front of my face. These images started to take shape and I was greeted with a collection of still shots of dark and mysterious creatures (monsters) all in states of attacking. As one shot showed a particualy fierce creature snarling and seeming to leap straight at me as the still slowly zoomed in (like they do on slide shows sometimes) towards my eyes I awoke with a start, my heartbeat staying at a steady pace even though I could feel the fear in my shoulders.

I decided I would give it another attempt as I was just being stupid, I'd told myself the next thing I'd see was a dream so why did it freak me out, it wasn't real right?

This time I slipped into my relaxed state alot easier than I did the first time and began almost chanting the phrase 'The next thing you'll see will be a dream, NOT reality.' through my head. This time, however, I did not resist the twitching of my limbs when it arrived and a dream started to form into my mind.

I was in a black box-like room. All of a sudden I saw what, at the time, I considered to be a flash of light across the ceiling but I now come to realize that it was a person dressed in white crawling along the ceiling. Slowly I began to walk forwards and into this other room containing only a chair, very similar to that which could be found in death row when the electric chair was used. I'm not sure what happened but all of a sudden I felt trapped, my limbs strapped into the straps of this chair and unable to be freed. I looked up in a panic and the white flash I saw before was right in front of my face. It was a child, about 7 or 8, sort of similar to the child that can be seen within The Grudge horror film, with completely white skin, black eyes and a large stretched month into an expression more fear-striking than a scream with blood around her mouth. As this image was directly in my face I woke up startled, thrashing my arms as I sat up and into my dark room whilst attempting to turn the lights on. This time my heart had just started to beat quickly after the shock I'd just experienced and the tension within my shoulders was massive.

Before anyone tries to tell me that my fearful experiences are just because I'm a naturally scared person, I love horror films and it's very rare that one of them scares me, and never as much as these dreams and images have. I'm not sure why all of a sudden my mind is having this affect on me.

One thing's for certain, I'm not trying to WILD again any time too soon.
