I am washing our cars in the driveway with some other people. We get them soaped up but I realize the water hose isn't ready and I rush over to get the spray nozzle on. I worry that the soap will dry and be hard to wash off so I work quickly. Unfortunately the O-ring is wore out and water sprays at the connection. I spend a lot of time digging through a bag of washers and o-rings but I can't find any that are right size. Eventually, I try to force one to work but when I turn on the water I get the same effect. I notice a pile of neatly folded laundry in the grass that is getting soaked. I move then worried about ruining fresh laundry when I hits me.
Not only do I realize I am dreaming, but I remember that I was lucid a few moments ago and totally lost it.(False memory? I can't remember) I think how sometimes being too lucid makes dream control hard but it's also easy to lose lucidity. It's a fine line. (WTF was I doing before?)
My thoughts get interrupted by some Mexican music. I look up and see a traditional Mexican in a green poncho and a black sombrero sitting on the porch of the neighbors house across the street. As I watch a hologram of a another Mexican man in a white suit materializes next to my car on parked my the curb. He flickers like a hologram from Star Wars and begins to wordlessly sing something. Intrigued, I walk over to check it out but something else even more odd gets all of my attention. An African American woman in a black woolen shawl appears next to the hologram. At first she seems normal but I quickly realize she has the look of a corpse; not like a zombie but dead with a pale white face. At some point in all of this, I remember my lucid goal but I am so interested in this DC that I let it go.
I go to her and try to shake her hand but the moment I touch her, she flinches way like I had burned her. I look at her face and she now has the face or some sort of evil goat. My first thought is that she is a demon, but I am fearless. In fact, I decide to scare her. In the deepest, growling voice I can imagine, I roar, "I am a devil too!" Now, she turns to run away but I grab one of her hands with both mine. The hologram tries to stop me but his form is insubstantial and passes through me. I bite the woman's hand deeply and drink. I expect warmth, but there is no sensation.
The dream fades out as I wake up.
