    This Old House

We partied last night and I did some late night drinking which led to another short DILD around 5am this morning. Nothing worth counting but still it was cool. I've got to start increasing and prolonging my lucids again. Perhaps the excitement level isn't where it used to be.

I recall something about fighting some zombies. Then my cat attacks me.

Next I lay down in bed and realize I am at the old house in Luling. I wonder why I am living here now and think about how this house was actually haunted. I think maybe now that I am older it wont be so scared. Then I realize this is a common dream so I do a nose plug and blow through cleanly.

I get up and make my way out of the house but I am hindered by something attached to me. I realize that is feels like my wife is actually stuck to my left side. I try shaking her off but the feeling wont go away. I decide this is just something like when the sheets stick to me. I stop for a second, relax and decide to ignore the feeling. I briefly look around the living room and notice the old cabinet TV. I appreciate the vivid memory of the couches and decor of the time.

Now I run outside trying to think of a goal. I wasn't prepared for this one so I decide to just fly. I float up past the old birch tree and land on the roof. This is where I promptly lose lucidity.

There is a second house much bigger than the one I came out of just behind it. They are so close they are almost connected. I jump to the second story and see some damage in the roof. I enter the opening and discover some teenagers living a dirty house in need of repair. In fact the house is so bad that the entire building sways back and forth as I walk around.

Interesting that you don't think this one was a very long dream. It sounds like it must have gone on for at least a little bit considering all that you did. I think this is past the threshold of what I usually count as a "micro-lucid".

Good job handling this new version of the "clinging sheets" problem. Sounds much more awkward trying to run and fly around with an entire person stuck to you instead of just some sheets.

I probably would have counted this in the past but this just doesn't make the cut for me anymore. Besides, it all happened really quickly and it's easy to take in all that detail in a flash. I'm not even sure if it was a full minute of not. Too, I think that my mind sometimes fills in a few blanks when I am recalling the little details. I'm not always sure if those little things happened exactly but it's as close as I can get it.

It's all the same right? Sheets, blankets, pillows, a whole human, ect. I think whatever part of my mind is still stuck in the physical world thinks it needs to bring "something" along. I figure like most issues, it's just a matter of forgetting the problem. That's actually something podcast taught me that's been really helpful in a lot of situations.

Well a cool dream either way. I'd have totally included that LD on my count, no doubt at all, ha ha...

And thanks, dude, I'm really glad to hear that this stuck with you from the podcast! You're certainly doing a great job putting it into practice. No longer are you having to go through your LDs with sheets or your wife grafted to your body!

Lol! That was funny! But unfortunately, can't say that similar things don't happen to me. I sometimes get familiar DCs trying to hold me down. I don't know why we keep attracting stuff like this. It's high time we learn repelling DCs.
