Didn't complete any goals in this one, but thought it had sort of an Alice in Wonderland feel that was cool.

      3/16

      Trick

LD: I was immediately in front of the house, walking on the sidewalk. I remember my vision wasn't very good at first. I focused on what little I could see--I had sort of tunnel vision--when I looked up at the sky. It never ceases to amaze me how incredibly real things can look. I went all the way down the street until I came across some friend of Scott. He was standing next to a van and asked me to come with him. He said we were going to see some kind of rare aqueous being or something. That sounded pretty interesting so I got inside the van. I noticed there were a half dozen others in there, mostly my age and a few younger. A couple of them were strapped down. The man told me that this was because they had arrested development, so it was necessary. I sat down anyway. We rode along for a while. On the way, the man started to chat with a teenage boy sitting next to me, asking him how he'd been or something along those lines. The kid just glared at him and said nothing. I thought that this was painfully similar to how I was with Scott. On the way to the place, we drove past what looked like a Satyr. I pointed him out to the teenager, and then I told him to be careful not to stare. The Satyr peered back at us, bending over slightly, and went on his way.

We finally arrived at the place. It was a huge chasm, seemingly bottomless. The only bridge across was only about two feet wide, with no railings on either side in most places. The bridge looked to be made out of giant playing cards. We had to run to keep up, and the man warned us not to fall off. I asked what would happen if I fell. He replied "You'll die," sarcastically. I said I didn't believe that for a second. He kept going without responding. Eventually the bridge twisted around, and began to slant more and more so that it was almost impossible to walk on. I finally had to hold onto it with my arms and climb along, until it spiraled downward so that I slid down, holding on only with my arms. As I was sliding, the bridge became a series of letters and words. The first said something like "Here you will find what you were waiting for." Then it said "Oh, it seems like it isn't here after all." And then, "Be careful not to fall down." After this phrase, there was a break and I fell, barely grabbing onto the next phrase: "I'm sure it's down here somewhere. Keep going" I slide faster and faster, so that the phrases simply flew past. Finally I fell and landed in concrete. In front of me were what looked like several casinos. They had billboards of stupid, sleazy, fake shows. I started yelling out loud at whoever pulled this stupid prank on me. I woke up in the midst of my fit.

The end of that dream does have a Looking Glass type feel. It reminds me of those old educational cartoons where the numbers or words would take on a life of their own. Something like Donald in Mathmagic Land, or a Sesame Street short.

RB: yeah it definitely felt that way in the dream. Very strange and cool.

Completed the task of the month, finally!

I need to stop being so lazy about these things.

      Taste The Rainbow

I stood at the edge of a lake. In the distance, both in front and behind me, where mountains capped in snow. The landscape beyond the lake was mostly dry, flat ground with shrubbery and trees every here and there. To me, though, it looked beautiful. I wanted to fly over the lake and all the way past the mountains, but decided against it. I turned to look around behind me again. There was one very large building about a half mile away, standing alone. Closer to me were a handful of other buildings and small houses. I ran up to the houses, peering into the open door of the first one I saw. There seemed to only be a front room and a back room, both empty. In the back room, There was a long, pink dress hanging alone. I pulled off my clothes and slipped the dress on.

The next thing I knew, I was riding shotgun in a car. There were three guys with me, none I really knew. We were driving through a suburban neighborhood, on a narrow road in between gated communities. I noticed that the sun was reflecting on the walls along the road, forming rainbows. Suddenly I remembered the task of the month. I shouted at the guy to stop the car before we passed the first rainbow. I said it was extremely important that I go eat that rainbow. He looked at me like I was crazy and refused to pull over. Just when I was afraid I'd missed my chance and the rainbow was long gone, another appeared in front of us. I yelled to stop the car again, and again he refused. We passed by it. I started considering jumping out of the car. What would be better, opening the door or going through the window. A third rainbow appeared. When the driver refused to stop once more, I jumped through the window and landed right next to the rainbow. I didn't see if they had bothered to stop or not. I grabbed the rainbow, curling it up and bit into it like a rope, trying to get all the colors in my mouth at the same time. Mmmm...tangy. Not like skittles, though. I couldn't place the exact flavor, but maybe that was because it was all the colors at once. The rainbow seemed to be too tough to bite off, so I let go, and it sprung back into place like a spider's web. I peeled away the red from the rest of the bands, this time tasting it alone to see if it had a different flavor than all of them. It seemed to have the same taste. It reminded me of those sour belts you get at the candy store. I woke up then (must have been the jerks in the car).

That is awesome, I love how you describe the rainbow...I almost feel like that is how a rainbow might seem to me in a dream too lol. I look forward to visiting your DJ more now that I know it's here!!

It's been a while! I completed both tasks of the month, almost made it to Emerald Cay, and at Yumester's request, used the gun from Portal. Was a good night.

      4/14

      April TOTM

LD: I had been walking down a long path, in a light rain. I noticed that I was only wearing short sleeve shirt and shorts, which made me uncomfortably cold. Several others were going along the path, and after what seemed like maybe a quarter of a mile, the rain turned into a light mist, then disappearing completely when the path ended. Here, there was a cliff by the ocean, with a wooden staircase leading up to a more modern looking bridge. I knew I was supposed to keep going, but I sure as hell didn't want to be walking up those rickety stairs and then across a bridge that may or may not have heavy traffic in the rain. The ocean was making me nervous, too. People passed by me to go up the stairs. I thought about why I was there, RCed, and realized it was a dream. I was quite relieved that I didn't need to go on that stupid bridge and I could do whatever I wanted.

I stood there for a few seconds, trying to remember what I was going to do. The lucid task of the month came to mind. Since next to me was the side of another cliff (effectively bottling the path betwen that and the ocean below), I did a handstand and leaned on the cliff a little for stability, only on my head for a couple of seconds before falling over. I knew that wouldn't be too much of a problem. Now, the hard one. I wasn't even sure I knew how to do it. I remembered reading one person's account where she popped her head off like a doll's head. I tried to think of it that way to make sure it wouldn't be a painful, bloody mess. Oddly, a full length mirror appeared in front of me. I pulled on my head, but my neck only seemed to elongate and go off to the side. Hmm. I put my head on the ground, wondering if my body was really still attached, since I was seeing through my head on the ground. Maybe I was only laying on the ground. I looked in the mirror to see my headless body wobbling around next to me. I stepped forward. I felt my body moving and saw it respond in the mirror. It was surreal having seeing out of my head from the ground and feeling my body next to it. I stepped on top of my head, but lost my balance and fell off. The second time, I stepped on, using the cliffside for support until I was balanced. I was able to stay on my head for several seconds before falling off again.

By this time, a small crowd of people were standing around me, some clapping and cheering. Apparently they thought this was some kind of magic show. I put my head back on my neck, carefully trying to make it not look stretched out. More people were clapping now, and I thanked them for watching, shaking one man's hand at his insistance. I told them I had to go now, walking back down the path from the way I'd come.

This time, the path led to a huge building after only thirty feet or so. I went inside, trying to remember anything else I could do. Ah! Emerald Cay. That was it. I would need to teleport there. Teleport! I remembered that I was going to try the portal gun from Portal. I reached into my back pocket, assuming it was there, and gripping onto something. It seemed to disappear and I felt nothing after a second or two. I affirmed that it would be there and tried again. This time, I felt something, pulled it around to look and it, and saw what looked more like my iPod's car charger. Hmmm. I realized that this was probably because I couldn't remember what the portal gun looks like. It would work the same, though. I pointed it to the wall and pressed the button. I woke up. Argh, what a piece of shit!

      Portal

LD/FA: I was sleeping in a bed right outside a bar window. The people in the window were shouting at me to wake up and come have fun with them, but I still felt sleepy. I stayed in bed a few more minutes, slowly wondering why I was waking up in a bed outside a bar, and then finally realizing I was dreaming. I got up and went inside. There was no music. I laughed at them for being in a bar with no music. They said we should go someplace else, then, Disneyland or something. I told them that I needed to get to Emerald Cay instead. Nobody liked my idea, though. I stood there thinking about the logicstics of going to an island...the water was very shallow all around the island, so there wouldn't be any problems or tsunamis, right? I decided I could just teleport into the mansion's library and explore the inside to be safe.

Now, the portal gun again. This time, it ought to look more gun-like. I imagined a larger, white gun, similar to something from an arcade game. This should do it.

Suddenly one of the men in the bar came up to me shouting at me not to go. He told me not to use this thing, because it could be dangerous. I told him that it was no problem--we could just test it first. I shot it at the wall, making a large black hole appear. On the opposite wall, an idential hole appeared. I grabbed a walking stick next to the bar and stuck it through one of the holes, amused to see it coming through the other one.

"See?" I told him, "It's fine!" The holes both disappeared. I felt the device floating out of my hands. I kept a firm hold, letting it take me up toward the ceiling. I laughed and said "This thing is great! Look, it's also an anti-gravity machine!" Everyone just looked concerned. I looked up again and fell back to the floor: the portal gun disappeared. The man from before went over to the bar entrance, blocking it off. The portal gun turned into a mini UFO, floating just outside the door. I thought it was fine, going outside anyway.

I saw we were on a seashore. Ugh, this shit again. I backed away from the water nervously, but it was too late--the island started to flood. I ran over to the docks, jumping on the first boat I saw. A rather fat middle-aged man was there, shouting at people to get off his boat. I used telekinesis to throw him into a pole. Selfish dick. I invited everyone else to get on the boat. I woke up while they were still coming on board.

Awesome last 2 dreams! The bridge in the fist dream sounded cool. If I were you in the second dream I would have shot the portal at the guy and see how he reacted. LOL

Challenge me! Give me a cool thing to do in a lucid dream, or a place to go in my TARDIS.
I have an idea! Pick me! Pick me! Go to Saturn, and eat a little off Saturn's ring. Tell us what it tastes like. Next grab Saturn's ring and throw it like a Frisbee!

      What do you think?

Hehe, Visiting all the planets is already on my list. But when I get to Saturn I'll be sure to throw its ring like a frisbee if I can.

This one was kinda short, but it was a Dr. who themed lucid, so I thought it deserved to be posted here.

      Angels

I'd been on a spaceship, in a kind of Doctor Who episode. (IRL I had watched an episode about this, so it was easy to know what was going on.) The ship had been invaded by the evil Weeping Angels--stone statues which cover their eyes lest they catch sight of each other. When one is seen by another living creature, it turns into stone until it is no longer being watched. I had been surrounded in a hallway. Angels both in front and behind me. I had been turning back and forth but this was allowing them to get closer and closer to me. I decided to try something I'd never really done before--I grew eyes on the back of my head. I was sure they were there, but I wasn't seeing from both in front and behind me at the same time. I wondered how I could logistically do this, and decided to have sort of a "split screen" effect. This worked, sort of, my vision became a little blurry, but it looked like the angels were frozen on both side of me. This gave me the opening I needed to speed past the ones in from of me so I could go up to the control room. Here, we could see through the windows into open space. I had dropped the double vision when I'd gotten up to the control room, so by now the angels had followed me. I pressed a nearby Big Red Button That Should Never Ever be Pushed, and I grabbed onto a chair, buckling my seatbelt. The windows popped off, and the angels were sucked out into space, right into a nearby sun.
