It's been a while! I completed both tasks of the month, almost made it to Emerald Cay, and at Yumester's request, used the gun from Portal. Was a good night.

April TOTM
LD: I had been walking down a long path, in a light rain. I noticed that I was only wearing short sleeve shirt and shorts, which made me uncomfortably cold. Several others were going along the path, and after what seemed like maybe a quarter of a mile, the rain turned into a light mist, then disappearing completely when the path ended. Here, there was a cliff by the ocean, with a wooden staircase leading up to a more modern looking bridge. I knew I was supposed to keep going, but I sure as hell didn't want to be walking up those rickety stairs and then across a bridge that may or may not have heavy traffic in the rain. The ocean was making me nervous, too. People passed by me to go up the stairs. I thought about why I was there, RCed, and realized it was a dream. I was quite relieved that I didn't need to go on that stupid bridge and I could do whatever I wanted.
I stood there for a few seconds, trying to remember what I was going to do. The lucid task of the month came to mind. Since next to me was the side of another cliff (effectively bottling the path betwen that and the ocean below), I did a handstand and leaned on the cliff a little for stability, only on my head for a couple of seconds before falling over. I knew that wouldn't be too much of a problem. Now, the hard one. I wasn't even sure I knew how to do it. I remembered reading one person's account where she popped her head off like a doll's head. I tried to think of it that way to make sure it wouldn't be a painful, bloody mess. Oddly, a full length mirror appeared in front of me. I pulled on my head, but my neck only seemed to elongate and go off to the side. Hmm. I put my head on the ground, wondering if my body was really still attached, since I was seeing through my head on the ground. Maybe I was only laying on the ground. I looked in the mirror to see my headless body wobbling around next to me. I stepped forward. I felt my body moving and saw it respond in the mirror. It was surreal having seeing out of my head from the ground and feeling my body next to it. I stepped on top of my head, but lost my balance and fell off. The second time, I stepped on, using the cliffside for support until I was balanced. I was able to stay on my head for several seconds before falling off again.
By this time, a small crowd of people were standing around me, some clapping and cheering. Apparently they thought this was some kind of magic show. I put my head back on my neck, carefully trying to make it not look stretched out. More people were clapping now, and I thanked them for watching, shaking one man's hand at his insistance. I told them I had to go now, walking back down the path from the way I'd come.
This time, the path led to a huge building after only thirty feet or so. I went inside, trying to remember anything else I could do. Ah! Emerald Cay. That was it. I would need to teleport there. Teleport! I remembered that I was going to try the portal gun from Portal. I reached into my back pocket, assuming it was there, and gripping onto something. It seemed to disappear and I felt nothing after a second or two. I affirmed that it would be there and tried again. This time, I felt something, pulled it around to look and it, and saw what looked more like my iPod's car charger. Hmmm. I realized that this was probably because I couldn't remember what the portal gun looks like. It would work the same, though. I pointed it to the wall and pressed the button. I woke up. Argh, what a piece of shit!
Portal
LD/FA: I was sleeping in a bed right outside a bar window. The people in the window were shouting at me to wake up and come have fun with them, but I still felt sleepy. I stayed in bed a few more minutes, slowly wondering why I was waking up in a bed outside a bar, and then finally realizing I was dreaming. I got up and went inside. There was no music. I laughed at them for being in a bar with no music. They said we should go someplace else, then, Disneyland or something. I told them that I needed to get to Emerald Cay instead. Nobody liked my idea, though. I stood there thinking about the logicstics of going to an island...the water was very shallow all around the island, so there wouldn't be any problems or tsunamis, right? I decided I could just teleport into the mansion's library and explore the inside to be safe.
Now, the portal gun again. This time, it ought to look more gun-like. I imagined a larger, white gun, similar to something from an arcade game. This should do it.
Suddenly one of the men in the bar came up to me shouting at me not to go. He told me not to use this thing, because it could be dangerous. I told him that it was no problem--we could just test it first. I shot it at the wall, making a large black hole appear. On the opposite wall, an idential hole appeared. I grabbed a walking stick next to the bar and stuck it through one of the holes, amused to see it coming through the other one.
"See?" I told him, "It's fine!" The holes both disappeared. I felt the device floating out of my hands. I kept a firm hold, letting it take me up toward the ceiling. I laughed and said "This thing is great! Look, it's also an anti-gravity machine!" Everyone just looked concerned. I looked up again and fell back to the floor: the portal gun disappeared. The man from before went over to the bar entrance, blocking it off. The portal gun turned into a mini UFO, floating just outside the door. I thought it was fine, going outside anyway.
I saw we were on a seashore. Ugh, this shit again. I backed away from the water nervously, but it was too late--the island started to flood. I ran over to the docks, jumping on the first boat I saw. A rather fat middle-aged man was there, shouting at people to get off his boat. I used telekinesis to throw him into a pole. Selfish dick. I invited everyone else to get on the boat. I woke up while they were still coming on board.
