Yeah, I'm not sure what exactly gameoverlord is trying to ask, but when dreams end, it's pretty abrupt, in a regular dream for me, it's like I'm there, then I'm awake with my eyes open, no warning or anything. With lucids, my control will start to fade, stuff gets blurry, you can just tell it's sliping away, BUT, this doesn't always mean your REM period is over. LD's can end in the middle of a REM stage. This is why I recommend learning the DEILD, that way, when you notice the dream fading and you start feeling yourself waking up, you can prepare for a DEILD.
