      Help with Dream Control?

I need as many tips as I can get for learning good dream control. I'm very new to Lucid Dreaming, and I don't know exactly how you control stuff in the dream...I can control VERY small aspects in a dream. In the last dream I can remember having, I went to a public restroom. I imagined and wanted the bathroom to be VERY high tech, and when I walked in, it was.

So my question is, is it possible to walk anywhere in your dreams? Does this take a lot of practice? Because usually, I'm kind of on cruise control, and I can't really control where I go and when I go there. I'm wondering if you have to be on cruise control, and control the environment around you?

Look up the guides "mastering your dreams" and "the nature of dream control."

They describe just how dreams are made and thus how to change them. As long as you ignore all the supernatural stuff in the Nature of Dream Control you'll be fine. Then again, dreaming about paranormal dreaming is the same as it being real, isn't it? (Except it won't carry over into waking state) so it's a fun idea to toy with regardless.

Dream control is all about belief! I mean sure good Dream Control does take a bit of practice but it is all about belief! How do you expect to fly if you don't believe that you can? Exactly! If you want to do something you gotta believe that you can! Plus you can also use tools in a Lucid Dream to do what you want. For instance: say you wanted to fight some ninjas. You could go up to a Dream Character and say " dude why the heck are you standing there?! There are ninjas coming!!" and the. Ninjas would come attacking. But that's not the only way to control like that, get creative! Imagine the object/person will be in the next room. There are lots of ways! Also keep in mind, it's your brain, your dream, your world. You are the master of your dreams and you're only limited by your imagination!!

And yes! It is possible to do almost anything you want in a Lucid Dream! You can fly, fight zombies, go to space. Etc..

Hope this answered your question! Have fun in the Dream World!!!!

Thank you Jarrhead! I read and re-read both of those threads and I think I fully understand both of them. Tomorrow morning, I'll research schemata a bit more, and tonight if I have a Lucid Dream, I'll attempt to make a play at using emotions in my dreams. I never would have thought to use fear to draw a DC closer. That may come in handy when I'm attempting to reach my goal of becoming Death in a dream.

Thank you Kona! The tips I've received from you have given me a lot of insight, and a lot to think about. If I can ever gain enough control in a LD to walk up to a DC, I'll certainly try to create something new, maybe a wall perfect for climbing. This makes me wonder if it would be possible (and how difficult it would be) to get a DC to climb a wall or fly with me! This is definitely going to be one of my new goals.

Thank you for your time, I very much appreciate the tips and suggestions I've gotten from both of you. I can only hope that this will further my progress in controlling myself in a LD, we'll just have to wait and see. Best of luck to you
