      Daydreaming: Day-mares.

Is it possible to to dream while your awake?

Last night i didnt have any dreams at all. wich was nice for a change i guess talking to the hunter helpped. but not today.

Last night i only slept for an hour, so neddless to say i was exhausted today. While i was driving home from work today, i started falling asleep at the wheal. I started entering that mode where your not tottaly awake but not tottaly asleep just for a split second. As i nodded off something crashed through my windshield and stabbed me in the chest, it looked like the hunter but i couldnt tell. it happend so fast as soon as i felt it stab me i woke up and i was swerving in the other lane, i corrected and everything was fine. the car was fine my windshield was okay, but i had a massive adrenaline rush from it, im still a little shaken up from it. The whole thing happend so fast i thought i really had hit something but i was okay and so was my car and there was nothing lying in the middle of the road.

I think that was called a microsleep. But what really bothers me is now this fucking hunter thing is bothering me while im awake now. this seriously feels like some freddy krueger bullshit. Am i going nuts?

You're going nuts.... because you are letting it.

Your mind is too set on the hunter. Forget about him, he was just a dream you had once. Totally insignificant. Leave him be, let him go. Soon enough he'll stop bothering you.

If you had a dream about some beautiful, wonderful woman, wouldn't your mind be focused on her for a while? Same goes for the hunter. He's nothing really. Just forget about him, he's not important.

Bothering you? Sounds to me like he saved your life - and possibly a few other people's as well!

Also this> what do you mean bothering you while you're awake, you just said it was a microsleep!

It's not any hunter that's causing this problem - it's sleep deprivation combined with driving. Terrible mix!! Often lethal.

hmm i guess if you put it that way i guess he did save me. Its just that i cant shake the feeling that he's more than a dream. I dont know.

Should have edited your post to add that last bit. Double-posting like that is frowned upon in here. You could still delete the last one and paste it into the one before it, if you're lucky Nina won't spot it!

Yeah, and now the fact that this hunter just 'saved' you means it cements his (its?) position as a real character even more solidly in your mind. It's probably just a dream schema that for whatever reason stuck really strongly in your mind. Strong enough to carry through many dreams. That will happen almost automatically as soon as you get excited about a dream character or situation. The excitements sinks in subliminally and creates the next few dreams.

Dream characters are nothing more than objects that have the traits of people in dreams. We dream of loads of different objects- places, things, people, etc.

Just because he has appeared in multiple dreams doesn't mean he is something special. I bet if you dreamed of dung 2 weeks straight you wouldn't think it was anything special, or some dung monster who kept trying to covey a message to you in a dream.

I once dreamed of tanks and helicopters and stuff for 2 straight weeks. Doesn't mean squat- I was just playing a military shooter game at the time.

Um, please do not drive when you're that sleep deprived. You're going to end up killing yourself or other innocent drivers and pedestrians.

(or at the very least, someone will call the cops and report you for drunk driving)

Like Origami said, just try to forget it. I know how you are feeling. I had nightmares of the same guy for like 8 years. It finally went away. Just be strong, and don't let it bother you.

And don't drive while sleep deprived!

Narcolepsy? Or simply a lack of sleep?

In any case, the content of dreams are just in your head. I've had a few nightmares that scared me half to death, but I knew they weren't real. Sometimes our minds just let loose with a whole bunch of bullshit and this might mean scary/disturbing things. Don't think much of it.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Also keep in mind that this "hunter" could be an archetype as well. Many people will have reoccurring dreams about a specific person or animal, witch is actually a manifestation of a suppressed part of your subconscious. What type of emotions are brought about by this hunter? Negative I'm guessing?
