      LD and Synesthesia

Simple question. Is it possible to introduce Synesthesia within a Lucid Dream.

e.g. smelling colours, tasting sounds etc etc.

I don't see why not; anything is possible. You just have to expect you're going to smell something when you see a color, or get a taste in your mouth when you hear sounds. It's actually a fairly simple activity in terms of dream control.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

agreed i think it is possible. How close it might be to what synesthetes actually experience is another question?

I'm guessing it's the same as seeing what it's like to be intoxicated in a dream, without ever having been intoxicated before. It's your best imaginative guess!
