Angry I do RC in my dreams but i don't become lucid and this happens a lot

Tonight i tried the timer for LD (http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/want-s...n-help-100376/) for the third time (i tried 3 beeps, 9 beeps and finally 27 beeps because the others didn't work). I did 3 reality checks in my dream (looking at my digital watch) and i was in my room several times. At the end there was a girl and we were trying to sleep. She told me she couldn't sleep because of the beeps the program was making (in real life). The 27 beeps didn't wake me up either, but i heard them while i was sleeping. I guess the volume is too low, but it's the maximum i can set it on my computer. I know this is a little bit confusing, but what can i do about the fact that doing RC in my dreams doesn't make me become lucid and the beeps didn't wake me up?

When doing RC's don't just make it a short look, actually question if you're dreaming or not. Observe your surroundings. I had this problem many times, you just need to focus and observe. Or even try doing multiple RC's, if the first fails, try another.

As for the beeps? I have no idea

Maybe when you hear the beep in the day, do a couple of RC's and see what happend. Hope this answers what you're looking for .

Have you tried doing the nose plug reality check where you plug your nose and breathe in? I find this one works best for me and gets me lucid 99% of the time.

When you perform them in real life, you need to REALLY question your reality. All kinds of checks must be done, memory check, senses check, what you're doing and why you're doing it. THEN you perform the RC action which is plugging your nose or counting your fingers. If you don't slack with the RC's during the day, they will work almost every time during the night.

This was exactly what I was going to say. When RCing, you really need to stop, look around and question reality. Ask yourself, could I actually be dreaming? If I was, what would I do? I like to listen to conversations, and ask, is this a normal conversation, or would it be a conversation from a dream?

Practice ADA - since doing this I have had a few lucid dreams.

      Ooh, their breath is warm
      And they smell like sleep
And they say they take me home
      Like poppies heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper
