Losing the dream soon after attaining lucidity.

I believe I've had a break through when it comes to lucid dreaming. I've been doing reality checks quite often. I've noticed a pattern of how I attain lucidity, ever since getting more into practicing reality checks, I've only ever once actually attained lucidity in a dream through a reality check. Strangely enough, it just sparks into my head all of the sudden out of no where, hey! I'm in a dream! So I think I've got attaining lucidity down quite well, and I've improved my dream recall without keeping a journal but I plan to start one soon. However, I have a few issues. One of which is, most of the time after I attain lucidity my dream goes dark. The lights go out, the sun sets. It's sort of strange. I think I've gotten over that strange feeling of fear I have when I attain lucidity. Another problem I have is, there has been a particular thing I have done in all lucid dreams that I've had recently, and that is attempt to have sex with a nearby female. For some reason though, when I get started, shortly afterward the dream goes black, like it just cuts short and stops. Can anyone help me with these issues? Thank you for your time.

A big thing with staying lucid is to not get so excited and get carried away with your dream. By this I mean becoming lucid then just get caught up in trying things you have to always keep the fact that your dreaming in the back of your mind or else you tend to lose control it's hard but helpful!

Read Exploring the World of Lucid Dreams... it explains a lot.

Stabilize, stabilize, stabilize. I haven't got the time to write a long, thoughtful [helpful] post at the moment, but if you have no clue what I'm talking about do some more reading.

Also let me point out, lucitidy usually happens more or less that way. Reality checks are affirmation (and stabilization, so use them!)
