      Post Barely Lucid

The other night, I had a dream that I was banging someone. (I had no control so don't think I'm a pervert or anything :p) and During this time I kept waking up to my alarm which is set at 5:30. And as I put it on snooze, I went back to sleep and was back in that same dream. The only difference was that I felt like I was half dreaming and half awake because I was doing actions in real life that I was doing in the dream. Was I really dreaming or was I just thinking about that dream vividly while still awake?

P.S, I have never lucid dreamed yet, and if this was conversed one, it was the most Un-vivid dream ever.

Having sex in lucid dreams is nothing to be ashamed about. In fact, it's even encouraged to people with physical disabilities!

Regarding your situation, maybe you were indeed dreaming and half awake. When we hit the snooze, we tend to keep some awareness of the external world while we drift back into our dreams. Hard to tell exactly what was happening, it could even be a case of vivid hypnagogic hallucinations (they occur when you're falling asleep and sometimes can be extremely vivid!)

As zoth said, you could very well have been half asleep, or you could've been just imagining the dream. Either way, it acted as good progress towards your ultimate goal of lucid dreaming because you were either:

      A) Aware of the dream in this half-awake, half-asleep hybrid, and this is good practice towards being aware in your dreams when you are asleep.
      B) You were subconsciously practicing your visualization skills, which are also useful when it comes to lucid dreaming as visualization plays a big part in setting intention or in dream control.

Regardless, you had an awesome sex dream. Nothing wrong with that...
