My own extremely effective method on dream control

there are several effective methods on staying lucid within a dream, but a lot of them fail me, spinning around on the spot just makes me disorientated and ruins whatever task i was doing. so, whilst becoming a moderately advance lucid dreamer i developed a little trick which is to turn the lucid dream into a lucid nightmare !!! Yes, this does sound a little backwards but i swear it works !!! To do this all you have to do is to think of something really scary ( i think of samora from the ring ) and just place it in your dream. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THIS WORKS, AND HOW YOU ARE ABLE TO DO THIS ) . i must say as quite an advance lucid dreamer ( i do it about an hour a day ) its extremely hard to create people or things in your dreams, and make them interact how you want , but for some reason nightmares are an exception. Another reason to try this is it allows for positive interaction with dream figures, they often are extremely fearful of the nightmare which allows you to be a kind of knight in shinning armour . anyone else done this ???

I've never even thought to do this before, but it sounds highly interesting. I will be trying it in the future.

Some people try to develop lucid dreaming to combat nightmares, or problems in real life.
I think my abilities started at such an early age, because I had constant nightmares.
So you may have stumbled onto a winning technique there.
      Overlooked by many, including me.
Well done. I will have a go in a short while.
Got any more, eye opening statements ?

Sounds good! Coming to think of it, I've had lots of lucid nightmares in my childhood and teenage years. When I have a happy dream, I don't realize it's a dream. But if it's a nightmare, halfway through I would realize that i'm dreaming, then force myself to wake up by shouting "wake up!". This was long before I heard about lucid dreaming, so I wasn't aware of the possibility of dream control. Too bad Nowadays I don't have nightmares.

So when you put this person/thing in your dream, you have more control afterwards or do I get this wrong?

Yes, i have tried it a few times and it works for me too

Fear helped me achieve a more clear awareness and somehow anchored me in the dream.

But i have to induce fear because it doesnīt show up spontaneously.. and itīs usually not my first priority..

Probably, if we can summon a strange and ugly DC from time to time, which i think its not very hard, it may help to recharge oneīs awareness like other techniques.
Check your memory, did any suprising event happpen ? does the present make sense ? visualize what you will do when lucid, and how. Reality check as reminder of your intention to lucid dream tonight. Sleep as good as you can; when going to sleep, relax and invite whatever comes with curiosity. Grab your dream journal immediately as you awake and write everything you can recall (if only when you wake up for good). Keep calm, positive and persistent, and don't forget to have fun along the way

But most of the time, when fear appears in my lucids , I loose lucidity... I mean when you summon the thing, what happens next?

Nice that you found something that works for you.
Though i think this technique wouldn't work for me personally, but for different reason, i simply don't appear have any of those weird fears.
Also, i'd suggest to not think that something is hard to do in lucid dream, think positive!
