hoody lucid dreaqming folks. I stumbled on this site a while back and i remember in these forums that someone talked about being able to induce nightmares on yourself and I was wondering if any of you knew how you can do it. One topic that I read said something about taking a sort of vitamin pill, and that his dreams were filled with nightmares. So if any of you could help with this i'd be sure thankful

my motive is that I am attracted to dark things. Nightmares terrorize people and what better way to entertain myself in my sleep. So yeah...

You could just watch a horror movie before you're going to bed. Also, you could eat a lot before sleeping. Also, take a lot of vitamin B6 and B12. I think that'll work.
      Sure, why not?

hmmmmm.....I'm not sure what you can do prior to sleeping, playing resident evil late at night yielded the best results. but some of my freakiest nightmares were 'created' in a dream versus something I did prior to dreaming

Even without being lucid, there are some archetypes in dreams that have a nasty habit of transforming the situation! If you can gain enough dream control and you can easily use them. One of them is doors, when ever you open a door in a dream what is on the other side is what you expect to be on the other side, more so than what should be there. Think of movie cliches, open the door to a basement, open the door to an attic, open the door to your closet. What are you expecting to be there? Darkness is what most people expect. You can even go to a small room in a dream. Close the door. And wait. Expect the unexpected as you open the door again and your dream will surprise you!

You can also run around in a dream, as if something horrible was chasing you. The dream characters might even think of you as nuts if the dream was a happy normal dream. But if you can pull it off, the dream will finally create something to chase you. And that something will also gobble up all the dream characters and turn off the lights. I've done this in a lot of dreams before, especially when I am in a school setting.

You can also try to create a dream nemesis. A dream nemesis is sorta the same and oppisite of a dream guide. Like a dream guide, they can appear and reappear in your dreams, without you asking them to appear. The more they appear, the more real they can feel in your dreams making it difficult to get rid of them. I had a dream nemesis for a while. She was a little girl of pure evil! She entered into countless dreams and transformed them all into horrible nightmares of death, darkness, fear and all the powers of evil. In my dreams she slowly evolved, to where I could give her a name and even tell you the story of her life. Eventually after several dreams, I met her 'mother', a devil worshipper who summoned her from beyond the grave. I killed her 'mother' and destroyed the artifacts that bound my dream nemesis to this world. Dreams can be very linear. My dream nemesis has never showed up again.

If you can create a frightening dream nemesis I am sure they will create more nightmares than you have asked for. If you create a dream nemesis that isnt FRIGHTENING, youll just get a super villian who isnt scary at all, and just ruins your day versus making a horrible nightmare, so keep that in mind. I'm not exactly SURE how you create a dream nemesis, let alone a frightening one, but I think there was a guide some where around here.

Just think of bad things, close your eyes and think of a nightmarish place, then start spinning. open your eyes and you might be there. like the post above me said, think of bad places beyond the door and open it and go in.

Go watch the movie Pan's Labrynth. I guarantee you'll have freaky dreams.

Plus is a fantastic movie. Has subtitles, but you dont even notice them after awhile
