Thx for all the valuable input. I have now mastered summoning people into my LDs.

I usually just get in the frame of mind of KNOWING, not hoping/thinking that person will be where I want to find them.

The blanket trick has also worked, asking a DC has worked, and just looking around/turning around has worked.

On to the next step, scenery change,

I've summoned people close to me (relationship wise). It took a few tries (in the one dream) but in separate lucids I have summoned my sister and my best friend. I also tried to summon a friend I haven't seen in 6 months, and a famous male celebrity (who shall not be named here *wink*) without success.
      Starting from scratch

I haven't tried summoning exactly YET, but I know that if I wanted to find someone, I'd just ask someone. Of course it depends on where you are, but find someone familiar ... anyone even, as long as you know them. And just ask. It's worked once for me while during LD but I can't quite remember if I intended beforehand (in waking state) to look for someone ..

Normally I have no problems summoning people. I just think of them, I'll use "Bob" as an example. Then I'll look for him. I usually turn around, when he's not there I'll check in another room.

But recently, I had to look for a few min before I stumbled upon any DCs at all! None of them were "Bob" though

      Good luck in future Summonings!

The way i find summoning people is well prity weird but i walk in a news agents and i buy a paper i put the paper in my face as tho i am reading it and i think of that person when i am reading it and when i walk out the shop and put the paper down i bump into them and boom fantastic. I have used the bear hands thing i do like it. I do enjoy moulding people to how i see them but there was one time were i got a person in a dream and then to find that it wasnt the person i had imaged infact he was wearing a mask as some one else. After a long few hours after i woke up of trying to work out what happen i worked it out as both the people had betrayed me in the past (two faced)

Seriously, you want to summon someone, GO LOOK FOR THEM. If you know where they would be, go to that place.

Example: I have a professor who I have a huge crush on. Nothing I would act upon in waking-life (I am in a committed relationship, with children, and would never do anything to ruin it.) But in dreams, anything goes, right?

So, for the last three or four months, I have been trying to summon him into my dreams so I can "experiment". I usually have DILD's-- the dream induced lucids, right? I don't know the terminology well, yet, but I have been LD'ing for a very long time. Anyway, I had a dream several weeks ago where I realized I was dreaming-- one of my dream symbols is stairs that I have a hard time climbing-- and I see these stairs, and I decide I am going to go look for my professor. So, I make myself fly after I struggle to climb up two steps. I fly to my college and run to his office--when I am wanting to summon someone, I always RUN. I run in case my dream starts to fade, and I can't make it stop from fading-- and I find him in his office, sitting there. And, well, I won't tell you what happens next.

Anyway, go look for the person you want to summon. If you know they'll be at their house, go there (if you know where they live) or wherever you know that they will be.

Good luck. If you ever accomplish it, let me know. I like hearing about others' experiences.
when i get in the lucid state i try summon him/her but im niot that good at it so i give up and just go and look for him/her lol but i cant find him/her today i tryed to look for him/her after i tryed to summon him/her by air lol i tried to fly but am not good at taht eather so i just hover and woke up aw i hate that i woke up nooo i was kinda of mad i wont ttry looking for some one flying lol....ill try to lucid dream again tonight and this time ill just ask for direction to see if some one has seen him and talk ....

I finally remembered to try that and it worked beautifully. I just wanted to thank you for the great idea. I will definitely be using it more in the future.

      Isn't that cute.
How I discover what my dreams are about

In my last lucid dream I made pink sparks between my palms. I was trying to make a white ball of energy...

Hey! Read the tutorial by BillyBob_001... he's the true master of LDing :

      http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=38954

Since I read this it's all been easier. Forced control ("X will appear behind me!") tends to make you lose dream vividness. On the other hand if you use passive control and try to convince your subconscious of something being true ("Hey X is usually around here... Maybe I'll find her."\"I was supposed to meet X here... I left my underwear in her house yesterday." XD) you get higher success (for me anyway) and keep the vividness of your dream, since you're fooling your mind into believing in something...

On a side note, you get higher control\higher success in summonings if you are more lucid, so, check out his other tutorial on this:

      http://dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=23857

Using these two "methods" together I was able to exert control around me and still keep vividness. Best luck fellow dreamer . Oh! And BillyBob_001 RULES!!!

I haven't did this lots of times before, but in my lucid dreams, I usually close my eyes, imagine a person (or thing) to appear, and then they appear. Hope this helps

I came up with an interesting summoning technique last night, even though it summoned the wrong person, hehe.

After many different attempts, I finally decided that the person I was looking for was already there, and I simply couldn't see her. Then I decided that she was right in front of me, and put my arms around where I imagined her to be. Then slowly a form begin appearing inside of my hug, and finally a person.

As I said... the wrong person, but it's a start.

Wow.. that had to be a freaky sensation!

What would you have done if someone (or something) frightening had materialized in your arms?!

If I want to summon a famous person such an an actor/actress, I will repeatedly watch their movies, TV appearances, any images of that person .
At different times during the day, I will tell myself that they will be there when I dream. This method has been about 50% successful for me.

I've had lunch with many celebrities, even ones that have passed away, we have had some good conversations. Being in their presence and so close to them is so very real to me.

People in my daily life are no problem to summon, but I avoid having relations with them or involve them in any LD 'adventures'. They represent people that I know personally, and there is that negative feeling there to hold back and not be free in my LD. It just feels strange.

I always have issues summoning people. In the past, I've gotten a pug, a pencil, a doll of the person, and other stuff instead of the people I was trying to summon.

But it beats how I used to not get anything at all.

As for scenery change, I find that really easy. I just spin around, and when I stop, I'm in a new place. Also, I've never tried this, but it doesn't sound like a bad idea - you could try walking through a door or mirror and see where it takes you.

      Good luck!

I often have dreams where I'm so free and I'm having fun but all that fun is completely sucked away as soon as I see my parents or brother. They always try to ruin it all and they just... won't... die!
