      Locating Specific Dream Characters

Alright, here's my problem. I'm attempting to locate someone in my dreams whom I've never seen in the waking world. Someone I know strictly through the Internet, though I do know what he looks like through the use of photographs. I've read that telling yourself, and believing that they'll be around that next corner will pretty much make them appear is a sure way of doing it...well, it works. But not quite the way I want it to.

Instead, it'll always manifest into someone I know in reality. Someone I have contact with often, such as one of my brothers, a friend, or a friend of my brother. The only success I've ever had was through the use of a device...and even in this case, I can't remember the conversation. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice as to how I can make this person appear in my dreams? This is the fourth time I've searched for him while lucid, and I can't find him! This applies to objects as well! I'll tell myself there will be a sword in the closet, but no sword!

Any tips would be much apperciated.

Ive always wanted to try it with a TV - try make their face appear on TV then pull them out or hop in. I don't see how it could fail, but on the other hand, dreams are pretty unpredictable...

I've been having trouble doing this too. I think my problems so far come from focusing too much on the method I'm using to find them rather than focusing on my target.

In the past when I've found people, I just think about them and there they are. I think the best thing to do might be to forget about using any particular method (like the door trick) and just focus on your target, but haven't had a chance to practice that much.

Telling or asking a DC to bring the person to you, or you to the person, tends to work well for me. However, sometimes my DCs don't cooperate. A well placed threat, with the intent to follow through, usually makes them more compliant.

i think the most important thing to do when you try to summon a character or do anything in lucid dreaming really is to realize its all in your head. you have complete control over every aspect of the dream, even if you arent thinking about it at the time.
when i want to summon a dream character i usually just shut my eyes and say their name out loud and open them up and there they are. or if that doesnt work then i travel around my dream world for a little bit longer and i will find them pretty soon. its just believing i guess.

Yeah this works for some, i tried it once, i saw a dc and told her to bring so and so, so she went looking for the person but could find that person, then i told her to do it again then she left to look for that person but the dream ended.

Asking another dream person to help you is pretty useful, but, oddly enough, for me the person is usually a little girl who does not know what she is talking about.

I've also found that simply asking yourself to bring the person to you works very well. As in, just say it aloud to your dream.

In my last (well, my second) lucid dream, I found someone by thinking "I should find Kyle." Then I looked in a room to see if anyone there could help me find him. And he was there himself! Then I thought "Hmm... I should find Aaron too." And when I actually went into the room, both Kyle and Aaron were there. Passive control works for me, I guess. Maybe it'll help you.

try summoning whoever it maybe, whether it's by shouting out their name and thinking of them, or requesting for their appearance, or just try to teleport to him if you can. first I suggest summoning easy things such as a pop can or a small item, then try to move onto something like the person you want to see.

Iīve found that just walking up to a random house (while lucid), ringing the doorbell and asking for whoever youīre looking for usually works.

      But thatīs just me

Some people say to just find a phone and call the person, ask them to come to wherever you are, and Voila! the subject appears! This dosn't usualy work for me though...I usually just find them soon after thinking about them, like HarmonicMelody. But some people are harder to find, and take some time to find, or just stay out of my dreams. I usually give up looking for people if I can't find them quickly...I'm a little lazy that way
      ...And then to dream...
