Sometimes it works for me just trying to relax close my eyes and visualize something else...of course sometimes I just get terrified and wake up. |

This morning in my dream I woke up (FA) and everything was so real, I did everything I would usually do. |

My Dream Journal
uh...this is uh..no offense but, you are a robot? arenīt you?
oh right, well the funny thing is thats what i tell a lot of people. for some reason i never think to take my own advice. but in this case i was too scared to think straight. i know my dream didnt seem so scary, but the fact that i was so helpless freaked me out. and also when i was lucid i still couldnt stop it and that made me feel more helpless because it felt like i was trapped in a dream. but what i usually do to make sure i dont wake up just didnt work, so im looking for a way to quickly get over it |

I would try closing my eyes and pretending it's just a game. My friends are wearing invisibility cloaks and they're just fooling around. Then I'd start laughing, and it would just become amusing. Then I'd try to push one of my invisible friends, and their cloak would get knocked off, and the rest of my friends would take their cloaks off and we'd all skip off to a Dream World ice cream shop :3. |

Instead of telling the action to "stop," try asking it what it "represents." I have done this in a couple scary lucid dreams and the object or action seems to mist away and change into something else in which I can easily reflect upon during and after the dream. I just yell, "WHAT DO YOU REPRESENT?" I always get an interesting answer. |
