      Constantly waking up.

Hi, I've been getting lucid dreams, sort of, almost every night. Almost every dream I've has this past 2-ish weeks have been interupted because I keep seeing a certain image that instantly gives me the "this is a dream", and moments later everything blurs out and I wake up.
I've had to fall back to sleep every night because I keep waking up too early because of this image in my dreams.

I've tried to get it out of my mind by myself but that didn't work so I went online to see if there was a way to get it out of my mind. I stumbled on lucid dreaming and eventually this forum so I decided to instead of getting rid of being lucid I'd maintain it so, yeah..

I've tried spinning but when I do things starts disappearing, but gets clearer, and when I stopped spinning everythings starts fading and I'd wake up.

      Any solution?
      Thanks.

I've had the same problem. I'll get lucid and go "ACK I'm dreaming this is so awesome!" and then the excitement of that will wake me up. The thing that works for me the most is trying to stay calm and not let my feelings of excitement overwhelm me to the point of waking. For me, spinning usually helps mostly when I want to get somewhere else in a dream. I'll start spinning if I am in a place I don't want to be, or am trying to get to another place in a dream.

Also, once you wake up try just going back to sleep and keeping your mind conscious while your body falls asleep. You will probably go into an REM state soon after you fall asleep because you were just in one... and it will probably be lucid if you can keep your mind awake while your body falls asleep.

      Good luck!

My best tip would be to practice more. With practice becomes control.

Maybe make it so that whenever you see this image, instead of thinking "wake up!" you think of something totally different like " hey lets to fly ". Get out a piece of paper and try to draw out the image, then focus on seeing that image as being associated with fly and not associated with waking up.

If it is more then one image, then just work on every time you get to know that you are having a lucid you remember to do something, again such as fly. Throughout the day pick out weird things that arent ordinary, and think to yourself (or say outloud if you are in the middle of a desert or something) "hey that STOP sign is yellow! I must be dreaming! Hurry, fly!"

There are a number of possiblities, try your favorite.

I have the same problem, assuming I even reach the lucid dream. It is a skill that takes practice, and dedication. The good news is you will only get better at it.
