Thread: Has anyone been able to web-swing?

I think one of the coolest things to do would be web-swinging. Has anyone done this, and details, please. Maybe even a quick lesson on how you do it, too.

By web-swinging are you talking about.... Shooting a web out of your wrists... Or literally just swinging from webs.

The whole deal. Jump, shoot web, swing, repeat.

Really? I always thought that web-swinging would be easier. I guess cause I couldn't fly before, so I thought that swinging from a web would be better/easier than flying. With flying, you have to keep a steady flow of flight(if that makes sense). Web-swinging, however, doesn't require flying, just swinging from a rope, repeatedly (we all did that when we were kids).

Web swinging I actually have to do something... Fly I can just control my dream to pick me up in the air. I don't have to move anything to fly.

uh, no I didn't. I asked if anyone has done this before. I already know how to do it. Also just seeing if anyone would recommend it over flying.

and the quick lesson thing was for anybody else who came on here (newbies who didn't know how).

I think one of the coolest things I have ever done is web swing. I find it even funner than flying.

The webs I shoot out are invisible and I do not need solid objects to sling them to, but other than that it is very realistic. I extend my arms out and pull them hard and fast towards my sides to signify pulling the webs and this gains momentum until I am really going fast. The way my body moves is very realistic also (compared to Spiderman with Tobey). I will be upside down, sideways and many other positions depending on how I move my "web hands" and also how fast I move them.

I have done it many times and it is one of the coolest things. It always gives me a rush that leads to a euphoric state that lasts for hours after I awaken for the day.

huh, I was wondering if my webs being invisible was just me, or if it was the first time doing it. I guess not :p Have you been around very large landscapes/cities? When I did it, I was just inside a house, so it wasn't a very "epic" swing.

Hmmm ... Web-swinging ... Thanks, but no thanks. I prefer flying, as I find it much, much easier and enjoyable.

I haven't tried web swinging, but it sounds like fun.

I have to say, though, it seems like it would be harder than flying. When I fly, I just jump into the air and then take off; this sounds like it would involve more thinking (aiming the web and whatnot).

Dang I gotta try this. Sounds like a lot of fun. I've never considered trying anything like it since flying seems to come naturally to me in dreams.

Oh wow web swinging, i'm glad that you made this thread; any way, i use to do that all the time and is my favorite thing to do in a lucid. The way i do it is, just like spiderman, i do that risk thingy that he does and imagine the webs coming out of them and they actually do. And the webs don't even have to be connected to anything like spiderman's do, i'm still able to web swing. I haven't done that in such a long time, i usually do that when i want to have fun or to get away from "danger".

Before joining Dream Views, I had read your post (a few months ago). During one lucid dream, I was flying around at night, having tons of fun. Then I recalled your post, and decided to try and web swing. I basically just let myself fall and stop flying, then I pulled against an invisible web, swung up, let go, and shot a new web. After doing this a few times, I pulled up with all my strength, then let go and back flipped, free falling for a moment, and shooting a new web. It was amazing. And on the whole flying vs. webswinging, I can't really choose. They are both very different and amazing. I really do like to web swing though, since still free falling with the pull of gravity is very exhilarating

when i'm dreaming i have more fun traveling by parkor you may know it as freestyle running but i have only been able to do it successfully twice without waking up

I did it once in a non-lucid where I was spiderman and was just swinging around, it was amazing.
Ive tryed twice in a lucid and failed both times, I just cant get the web to come out of my wrist. Its annoying because no matter how much I imagine it happening and believe it will, it doesnt.. I can crawl up walls and across ceilings though

I cant fly either, ive tryed jumping and Its like im on the moon then I get pulled back down. Then I tryed to get to a roof so I could jump off and couldn't teleport. I went in a building from the front door then got distracted and forgot I was supposed to be going to the roof and started having a fight with a massive man instead haha.

I will get it eventually though!

I actually do parkour in real life, as well as a bit of free running, so that would be very fun to try in a dream!

I have successfully web-swung before. It is an intense experience. Although it wasn't a lucid dream I still had full control. Basically, to do anything in the dream realm you imagine what you want to do and just do it. Give it a few tries and you'll get it. Pretend theres a button in your hand and by pushing it a web shoots out. Pretty simple
