Best catch ever! - Dream Journals - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views So I'm fishing at the coast of this spring or beach with just a line. I feel something tug, and whatever it is....it's big as all get out. I maintain the line and when I feel a break in tension, I pull it in. While this is happening, people are yelling and panicking....telling me to let it go. The water is down right violent, and it looks like what ever I have is probably something that has the potential to eat me and everyone else. I steadily ignore everyone's pleading and continue pulling this unknown creature in. Thoughts flash in my head, could be a shark, could be a great white, could be anything...hell a small whale. I was thinking "well if I can beach it, then I win". Suddenly the most curious thing in all of my dreams happens. I see this plume of blackness emerge through the water, and two long appendages on each side sprout from it. The they propel the creature upwards to my astonishment. The black object.....smooth wet hair....those appendages, arms. Suddenly I realize that this "monster" is actually a person. I slack the line all the way up to where I started at, and watch her slowly rise to her feet. Wet brunette hair gets tossed to the back of shoulders like curtains. Wearing a black leather top and skirt I immediately recognize this woman to be Summer Glau. She stands around around 15 feet and has the most pissed off look on her face. The hook is still in her mouth. Everyone who's on the beach is running around screaming for their lives, and leaving while I'm just staring at her, motionlessly. She pulls the hook out of her mouth, and holds it between her fingernails, and slashes at me. The first swipe wasn't intended to hit me. I think she just wanted to scare me, but it didn't work. I'm sitting on the beach with puppy dog eyes still enamored by whats going on. I slightly gather my senses, and she swings again. This time she's playing for keeps. I raise and cross my arms above my head, and bock her attack. I feel the hook tear a bit at my skin, but it's not much. During the actual attack I feel my feet slide across the sand as I'm pushed backwards by several meters. She attacks several more times, and I block the aggressive onslaught. I feel like I deserve this in some sort of way, as some cruel punishment. Suddenly I stop blocking her attacks I don't want to fight her, and at this point, I feel like maybe I just deserve it. She raises an open hand above my head, and I know she's going to slap me like a rag doll, but I don't care. I don't blink, cringe or anything. She pauses, and looks directly into my eyes, and for a second we connect. She lowers her guard, and slowly bends over towards me. Her face gets so close to mine as she locks in, and suddenly, she kisses me. I'll have to admit...that was one of the best feelings ever. she stands up right, and I try to talk to her, but she says nothing. She picks me up, hugs me, and places me on the back of her neck. I hold on, and she walks around town with me. I feel the unevenness of weight distribution as we head out on our journey to no where. The vibration of each foot step works it's way through my body, and I'm blown away by it all. There's a little girl who's also up there with me. We talk a bit, and I think I even played a game with her, and I bought my attention back to Summer. She spoke to me, but I don't remember what was said.

Sharkgirl by roswell 10-23-2011 I dreamed I was fishing on the beach in Mexico. (IWL we're going to this beach in 2 weeks). Something big takes my line and I start pulling it in. I see that it's a huge dark colored shark. I manage to pull it up on the beach and as I walk down to get a closer look it opens its jaws and snaps at me. Then it turns itself inside out and a woman dressed as a sumo wrestler appears??? She begins speaking in a non human language and I make signs to her that I don't understand. Then she starts speaking in english. She tells me she is a pearl diver from the islands, and she doesn't know how she got here. I untangle her from the fishing line and she slips back into the water and swims away. I woke up here and really wanted to re-enter the dream and become lucid. I listened to the sound current and entered back into the dream. I was back at the beach and remembered the shark but but the girl. I was dreaming again but still not lucid. I walked down to the water and looked for my wife and friends to tell them about the shark and lost the dream at this point. My dream guide is the Goddess and She has appeared to me as a dolphin before so I believe I got to see Her shark nature this time.

@Roswell- I see the similarities in our two dreams, no doubt it's probably the reason why you posted it. This was a fun one to read. Lengthier than others recently, the additional thought processes and interaction really added depth. Nice Yeah, I tend to get into it the most when it's a dream I really enjoyed. That just shows how awesome dreams can be. I just don't get those who don't want to have LDs. Awesome dream Auron! That's pretty much what was running through my head when I woke up. I mean even the non lucids are worth having.

Auron, Yes, the two dreams are very unusual and very similar at the same time. It almost seems as if we are being contacted.

I'm from a shamanic dreaming background. I've had totem animals turn into Native American messengers and Spirit Guides before, but never had it happen this closely aligned with someone else's dream. In our dreams, these sea creatures turning into women seems like an interspecies dream visit of some kind. I think maybe the sea creatures are turning into humans to try to communicate something to us. Like maybe they are just as important as humans are.

Haha, I was just having a similar discussion with someone else about this yesterday. As strange as that sounds... it's a very interesting idea to consider. Nice one.

In this particular dream, I couldn't tell what it was, but once it started emerging I knew it was a person. Maybe the way I wondered it made it seem as if she was a sea creature at first, but I did that to leave in some surprise to the story i guess. I've had dreams about orcas on occasion, and it's always been a peaceful dream, so maybe you are right. I don't know.
