Thread: Worst dream of my life - am i evil?

I had the similar feelings recently and Asked for help, I got some good answers that really helped me. I'm not christian either but I do feel I have.... IDK. Something that makes me not want to be "bad' anymore.

No I don't think it means anything. You cannot spend a single day with seeing death in some way in today's society, be it movies, radio, advertisement or games. The fact that non-lucid are seemingly sporadic and random it is innevetible that the subject would come up in one of the dream. You felt huge sympathy for what you had done and the people were random so there's little meaning except for the natural reaction most would have. I'd just take this as a indication to never do anything stupid, you've felt the consequences

I agree with dutchraptor.

One reason why we have dreams could be virtual "proving grounds". We get to try out different scenarios and see the outcom, without hurting anybody. In this case, you got to experience how it would feel to kill someone.

But also, our world is filled with violence. We see it on tv every day. So it leaking into our dreams is not a surprise at all.

I really don't think it means that you are gonna kill someone.

Your comment "bad aim" is the point of this dream. In many instances, aiming a gun and shooting at targets (whatever they/it might be) represents an orientation toward a goal. Later crying in the dream expresses your disappointment when your aim was bad, when you missed the target. Is there something in your life that you failed to complete or screwed up which left you with regret? The word 'wolverine' clearly marks you as an individual with personal strength, a person who bounces back from problems, perhaps a person who is quick to heal when injured or sick. Despite your histrionics in describing the dream, it bears a positive message that you have the reserve to eventually reach whatever goal you have set.

Two thoughts aside from the dream reading I just provided:
1. Dreams choose dramatic scenes and symbols in order to capture your attention and aid your conscious memory. That process is obvious here.
2. Dreams sometimes contain literal images, but their primary language is metaphorical. Read them as describing forces and aspects of your life in symbolic form.

I dont think i explianed it well enough.. i hit the target, but i also hit someone i didnt want to hit. later... i think i was crying because i made a mistake.. i didnt really want to kill anyone and i regretted it... thats what i gathered from it. but... it was just a dream so.. ya.
