I foresaw my friend's baby dying, it happened today

I did not know where else to go on such a site, I am new on here. This is about a dream last night that came true today and it has me completely unraveled to put it lightly.
Quick background, I can lucid dream like there is no tomorrow and I always remember my dreams (ALL of them from the night before) I like to consider this my "gift". But last night my dreaming mind crossed too many lines.
Finally beginning the story: Earlier in the week I had a dream of an old and very dear friend that I have not seen or communicated with for well over a year. That very morning after I had the dream about her she sent me a friend request. (I am not proud of the fact that I am so dependent on social websites so do not get the wrong idea) I knew through mutual friends that she was pregnant and I came to find out that she had her baby and even though he was slightly underweight and he had to be kept in the hospital for longer than expected that they were both fine.
Well last night I had a very disturbing dream. I was having back pain and decided to take a pregnancy test and the test said negative. Three days later, in the dream, I was in labor fully dilated and delivered a beautiful boy, I have had multiple pregnancy dreams and this is the first one where I feel comfortable with my child. I breastfed him which let loose emotions in me of closeness and love that I have never experienced. *Note that I am without any children* He had difficulty latching to my left breast but did perfectly with my right (my left breast is just a miniscule but smaller than my right and this has bothered me since puberty)
I kept losing Baby, I had not yet named him, in the house that I grew up in and my father still lives because I didn't even have a crib for him. Every time I found him he was fine and I suddenly remembered I hadn't changed his diaper in over a day. As I began to try I realized I had no idea what I was doing. My father then came in the room and put the baby down on the table. I turned to grab a diaper and the baby had turned into a little black kitten. I was very saddened by the fact that he was no longer my human baby but I did not react differently. My father then commenced to carefully removed the kitten's fur from his hips down by unlatching the fur from under the kitten's testicles (this did not hurt the kitten at all! I am a cat lover) My dad held the kitten upright and let black feces drip from my infant kitten, wiped him up, put his fur back on, and put the diaper on. I left my baby with my father to meet up with my previously mentioned old friend ( I do not remember if the kitten turned back into a human) the baby was not with her but I made a point not to bring it up. She didn't even mention her baby and in the dream I found this to be odd. My soon to be husband was in the picture for I did mention him in the dream but he did not show up at all which I found very odd.
I apologize for my longwindedness but in light of the current situation I need some kind of explanation. May I possibly be with child?

First of all... breathe.

When I read the title of your post, I thought it was about you foreseeing the death of your friends baby in a dream, and that this came to pass today. I've been there, and its a horrible feeling. But you're saying you need help figuring out a pregnancy dream.

You know by now (having had pregnancy dreams before) that having one doesn't mean you are pregnant. Its usually (not always though) about change that either is coming, or its here, and maybe it happened way faster than you expected it to (that's usually symbolized by a very fast pregnancy, like yours in the dream was 3 days). The "baby" in those cases, represents the new lifestyle, the new need (it could be a responsibility, a job, school, a person in your life).

You mentioned that you very recently reconnected with someone online, and that you discovered the information about her being pregnant and having the baby early. I think, that this is symbolized by the "stripping" of the kitten, and cleaning it off. We find out facts, by looking for them. That requires digging past the surface, past the obvious.

If that interpretation makes any sense to you, rings true, then it might explain why the friend in the dream didn't have her actual baby with her. The whole placement of a "baby" in your dream was not about an actual baby. The baby represents I think, your friend/starting the friendship "new" again. And you didn't know what to name it yet, because you don't know how this friendship will develop, what it will become, if anything. Your soon to be husband not being in the dream may be because he's not part of your friendship to this person you reconnected with.

The way I came up with all of that is just by reading the points that you made, and showing you little connections that make sense to me. A lot of times, you end up nailing your own dream interpretation by adding the back story like you did, or sharing a little history behind your life, because when you do that, you end up pouring out details that are stored in your subconscious mind that influence your dreams. And it just takes a person who is not so close to the situation, to help you see the connection.
