Thread: The Night I Almost Became a Witch

My first dream post! I could use some help interpreting this one, honestly. Sorry for anything inappropriate, my dreams can tend to be disturbing. They also tend to be very long and detailed so sorry for that as well :<

I ran into a group of girls who called themselves witches. They took me to their underground lair where there were many other people my age making up a large witch coven, both guys and girls. Everyone was very friendly. They introduced me to the leaders of the coven, a man and a woman somewhere in their 50's, who asked me if I wanted to join their coven. I told them I was interested, and asked how I could.

They told me I had to go through a ceremonial ritual to join. I agreed and went to go tell my parents, who for some reason were perfectly fine with me joining, and they liked the leaders as well. So I left with them to the lair, where they explained to me the process of the ritual which was, well...sketchy

First there would be a feast held to invite Satan, followed by a somewhat unnerving initiation ceremony where I would have to be in a special room. I would see terrifying things in there but had to remember nothing could hurt me and if I left, I couldn't join the coven. Then, the male leader (if I was a guy I would have had the lady leader) would be performing a ritual to channel Satan himself in the other room. When he was possessed he would enter my room and then I had to sleep with him (though according to them I would be sleeping with satan), this would corrupt me, and satan would give me the powers of a witch in return.

Now hearing all this I knew it was something I definitely did not want to be involved in. But I was curious. I wanted to see if these people truly had magic powers and were working with the devil or if they were just some gross perverts leading a cult so they could sleep with young people. Considering how powerful I am in my dreams, I was not really frightened at the prospect of staying to find out which was true.

So I played along. First came the feast. At midnight they tied me up and put me on a platter in the middle of the table, surrounded by food. This was meant to invite Satan by showing him their offering (which was me). It was awkward but simple. Next came the real challenge. I was taken to the room for the initiation. I talked with the other kids about how I was unsure about the sleeping with the old dude part. They told me not to worry and that they'd all had to do it, so no one judged. It was just a right of passage.

So I go into the room, which is dimly lit by a candle. I'm waiting for the weird scary things to start happening when I realized that if this really was going to summon Satan, that was above my paygrade and I probably needed to call for protection. So I began to pray to God to protect me and keep me safe, and explained to him how I didn't actually want to join the coven. I was filled with a warm feeling. And then, before anything could happen I changed!

But it wasn't conscious, it just happened. Suddenly my eyes were glowing bright green, I had a golden glow around me and giant white angelic wings sprouted from my back. I was shocked and flew out of the room, landing with a crash in front of my equally surprised peers. I asked the leaders what it meant and if I could still do the ritual. They seemed highly intrigued. Said I could still do the ritual but it would be tricky, this was a sign from God that I was protected, basically warning them to back off. They said I would be a nice prize for Satan because of this and were more eager to do the ritual now.

Sure enough my angelic transformation faded away and I returned to normal. I went back in the room. This time I decided to wait a little longer before praying. The candle went out and it was pitch black. And I did begin to see terrible things, deformed monsters smirking at me, the dead, all manner of disturbing things. Then I began to pray. But I was distracted when the door swung open and in walked the leader, or rather, Satan possessing the leader if I was to believe their claims.

He got onto the bed with me and was talking to me. I tried to distract him and keep him off of me until I could finish praying but he knew what I was doing and began to touch me to distract ME from praying. As he did this my eyes began to glow bright green again, only this time they appeared demonic, with slit pupils like a cat.

I knew I was in trouble. But I couldn't focus on praying with what he was doing to me, and I had to get God's help before he slept with me and I became corrupted. So I flew out of my body to the other side of the room. I prayed quickly as without me my body was defenseless. I saw myself getting more evil in form. But as I prayed I was suddenly sucked back into my body, and the entire room was filled with bright light. I was back into my angel transformation, and I knew then that I was safe.

That's the whole dream!
