forgive me if this is in the wrong forum, there are like 8 trillion of them. can get a little overwhelming.

i seem to remember Dr. LaBerge (sp?) saying something in ETWOLD that dream interpretation is hogwash. hogwash maybe is too strong of a word. but he basically dismissed it.... i thought. but it's been a few years since i read it.

i thought i remembered him talking about how more than anything, what we dream is what we EXPECT to dream about and what we WANT to dream about. the example he used is the "shadowy" figure you see across the street... if you think they're a mugger, they instantly turn into a mugger. if you think it's a friend, they instantly turn into _______, one of your best friends.

first of all, am i dreaming this (no pun intended)? and if i'm not crazy, why all the hubbub (sp?) about dream interpretation? my psychiatrist was trying to interpret my dreams and i'm sitting there thinking, "there's nothing mystical about it, lady." but again, maybe i'm totally off. anyone?
