Um...actually, no... uh...reading a book....doing homework....?[/b]
      Hahaha!

Hopefully I have enough time to record a dream tomorrow. I work at 7 in the morning...

Starry starry night, paint your pallet blue and gray,
Look out on a summers day,
with eyes that know the darkness of my soul.

Dream #24 - Seaweed Harvesting and New Friends
      October 20th, 2006

Only segments of this dream stand out. The first being me driving in a car, and then suddenly being on this giant wooden board (a dock of some sort) over top of this big square aquarium which had an open top. The water was right below us, and I remember being able to see skinny pieces of seaweed (like width of a string of hair) that went from the bottom to the surface of the water. We dove in (there was a large group of people on the 'dock&#39 and started swimming around, plucking the stalks of seaweed out and letting them float to the top to be taken away.

The next section I remember talking to my new friend Carlos, and we're talking about girls. One thing that he said clearly, or I said (?), was "I'm not a girl, man, I don't kiss and tell." Don't know what the was about.

The last bit was just a big blur of me with Jay and OP* driving around in a car and doing random things (kind of like what we did on thursday night).

Awesome, I left you a comment.

Here's last nights dream. I had one the other night that's recorded but I'm too lazy to grab it. Maybe I'll get to it later.

Dream #25 - Crazy Cat in an Old Neighbourhood
      October 24th, 2006

There were many parts to this dream, some of them including snowfilled backgrounds at nightime, but I can't recall anything important or noticeable from them. The most vivid part was when I was in my old house (the one we just moved from) in my old neighbourhood, with my sisters and mom. All our furniture was right back where it had been before, everything was exactly the same (*sigh* ). Mom had brought a cat that she had found at the [circus/shopping?] (not sure what she said, starting with a 'sss' sound), it was nearly identical to my cat Charlotte, but with some differences that I can no longer recall (besides it being a boy instead.) Here's Charlotte:

Well, this newly acquired cat started chasing my other cat, Febus, who's normally white in reality but seemed to take on a different set of colors each time I focused on him. I ran upstairs after the pair of felines into my old room, where everything was set up just like it was. This new cat was rubbing against Febus, almost hugging him and nudging him with his head.

Then Febus was gone, and this new cat was laying down on the bed (kind of like the picture above), but it was looking at me with a fierce expression on its face. It lifted up one of its paws and its 'thumb'-nail ripped off until it was near the hinge, and started to spin around in circles like a helicopter blade. I noted this as 'kind of wierd' and took off to tell my mom.

That's all I can remember of that dream. I should probably get to posting the dream the night before, seeing as I remember it being one of the more vivid ones I've had in a while.

I have three dreams lined up, none of which have been written down, recorded onto tape, or purposefully memorized... they're all commited to memory so don't ask why everything isn't as detailed as it could be.

Oh, and as a forewarning, the first dream may be a bit vulgar/homosexual; on the same note, I am NOT. The second and third dream are pretty interesting, though.

Dream #26 - Guy on Guy and Door to Door
      October 25th, 2006

It was me, J and my new friend W, and we're all walking up this road that goes straight up a hill. It's nightime, and we're walking through the darkness and under street lights. There's no cars on the road. For some reason beyond me we're talking about homosexual sex and how they do it, and J suggests that we try it. I'm supposed to be the 'tester' but that doesn't happen and somehow becomes W's time to take one for the team. I disappear before anything happens (thank GOD), and find a girl I know from my new school. It's Christina. We leave J and W back on the roadside and me and Christina try to find something in this complex we enter (either that or she leaves and I'm trying to find her).

Anyways, I enter through this one door, and I start going from room to room, but each room takes me to another house, and it turns out that all the houses are connected one way or another in this one complex. It's really weird because I remember running through series of hallways and rooms and houses, either trying to find or running away from something. That's about it from this dream.

      Dream #27 - Party #1!
      October 26th, 2006

This dream was awesome. I remember being up in this glorious, rocky mountain-based mansion, with all my friends (plus more&#33, and we were all partying. Just hanging around, talking, having fun. Lots of time passed in the blink of an eye, and the next thing I know I'm in this massive kitchen, with marble flooring and counters. The room is half a kitchen and half a living room, complete with rich-looking furniture and a gigantic window that has an insane mountain view (with snow&#33.

I'm in the kitchen because I'm cleaning up after the party. I fill the sink with water, and then put the dish soap in. For some other reason, I put little tropical fish into the water. Suddenly everything in the sink starts floating, and the giant kitchen/living room becomes a haven for floating bubbles and tropical fish, which are 'swimming' in midair. It's a very surreal, dreamlike sequence that I should've noticed, but it was amazing nonetheless. I just remember staring in awe at the hundreds of bubbles and colorful fish.

The dream transitioned to me and one of my friends (who I can't recall as of now), running into this same mansion (which was apparently owned by Jeremy). We're trying to hide from Jeremys parents or something, because they don't know we're here. I remember running to the front window and looking down at the driveway to see an SUV pull in, and then telling whoever was with me to hurry up and hide. We run into this one room and find Jeremys mom in the bedroom, we say something and run out, cursing under our breath because Jeremys room has been switched to the other room.

Finally we found it, and run into his baby blue room, which is tiny (ironic compared to the rest of the house). Next thing I know is we're sitting on his bed, playing video games, and Christina is there again with whoever else is with me (come to think of it, it might actually be Jere). For some reason I'm grabbing her breasts. Dreams over.

      Dream #28 - Party #2
      October 27th, 2006

This one is evading me right now, so all I'll mention is that we're in this warehouse, again with a lot of my friends. We're going around into different rooms, exploring, partying, etc. We're in this one room and my friends are telling me to use this device which I forget what it looks like. For some reason I keep referring this dream to The Butterfly Effect, which I watched last night too with my friend.
      ____

Weird, I can remember dreams from over 24 hours ago better than I can with the last one.

      Hehe...

But don't worry about it too much. I think a lot of us have had those sorts of dreams (some of us just don't write them down )

That is really cool. I love having those magical surreal dreams. And I like your picture.

Keep thinking about it, and one of these days things like this will trigger lucidity.

      Cool dreams

      Keep it up, CB!

Well I guess I'm just crazy like that.

Thank you. A lot of effort went into it, mostly because I suck with photoshop.

      Thanks for reading!

I have two dreams to post now, the first was really odd and difficult to explain. There was a lot of perspective/point of view changes and unnoticeable transitions, so I'm just going to jot everything down in a sequence of events - complete with details, of course. Sorry, I like that one.

The second dream was interesting too, and was one of the more vivid ones I've had lately (actually, that's not true... most of my dreams have been vivid lately ).

Dream #29 - The Essence of Vacations (Look, I'm Indiana Jones&#33
      October 28th, 2006

Here we go, point form. I'll try my best to put these in order.
      • In some sort of rocky/grassy mountain range, it's gorgeous. The sky is filled with a warm blue, the grass (which covers the rolling hills and even the mountains) is a healthy green. The sun is out, shining down upon me and my family, who are apparently on vacation. There is a giant reservoir in the middle of all this, complete with a waterfall and more rocks.
      • I'm suddenly standing on a rock out in the middle of the reservoir, and I have a digital camera in my hand. I'm taking pictures of my family who are farther out on this rock that extends most of the lake. For some reason there's another 'me' that I'm taking pictures of along with my mom and sisters. Third person and first person at the same time.
      • Next thing I know I'm being yelled at by my mom to grab the camera that's fallen in the water, which I quickly retrieve (I'm already in the water). I reassure her that the camera still works.
      • This is where it gets weird. I'm suddenly Indiana Jones and I'm with some girl. We're trying to figure out a way to get out of this giant tower made of sand which overlooks the entire mountain scene. I forget some of the details between this part and the next. Something concerning a jet stream of water exploding from the back of the sandcastle tower.
      • We're still at the very top, standing on a sand floor and inside walls of sand. Suddenly it becomes a stationary first person shot and I have to decide where to place a bunch of objects in this tower room. It's like a computer now, where I'm using a mouse to point and click where I want things. I 'plant' a seed in the middle of the room, and it grows instantly into a tree. The roots make holes in the sand, and I think that somehow opens up a way for us to escape.
      • When I stared at the tree, the scene switched from a sand tower room to a grocery store. That's all I remember.
      _____

Why didn't I notice I was dreaming here? Nothing made sense at all.

      Dream #30 - "You're the Makeout-Handjob Guy" "Okay..."
      October 29th, 2006

This one was very vivid, and it was pretty fun, too. Several things happened.

The first bit of the dream I was on one of those things that mechanics lay on when they go under the cars, and I was rolling around with it inside of a mall. I was passing people who stared at me with confused looks on their faces, but I just laughed as I rode along with increasing speed. The mall reminded me of Lougheed Mall for some reason.

Next scene I'm in this white room that's divided into two. There's two openings that connect the two sections:
      _____________
:::::{----}:::::
-::::--------::::--
_____o______

      :: = floor
      o = me
      {----} = couch

I'm talking to this man, and there's several other people in the opposite section. We're talking about making a porn video. The girl we're supposed to make it with is standing next to the man. He tells me that it's going to be me and another guy on one girl. The 'director' tells the other 'actor' what his job is, and after hearing this I ask, "Well, what do I do then?"

He replies, "You're more of the makeout-handjob guy." All I said back was, "Okay..."

We move into the next room and the dream transitions again. I'm suddenly outside of the mall in a grassy courtyard, facing Greg. For some reason we're both really angry at each other. There's lots of people watching us. We're throwing punches like cray, but in the end I haymaker him in the face and knock him to his knees. He falls to the ground and people cheer me on. I turn around and see many friends walk out through a door saying congratulations.

Next thing I know I'm walking towards the parking lot of this supposed mall. I get in an SUV with Jackson, and we start cruising around. That's all I can remember.

I have a question, how do you have a successful WILD? Does it only happen when you've already had some sleep, or can it be right when you go to bed?

good to see your recall picking up!

lol i wish my dreams were a bit more sexy. i seem to lose recall just before the act.

BTW i moved to Alberta recently. a trip to B.C. is in the cards early next year!

about the WILD. poeple suggest it mostly with the WBTB method. in my experience if i at least try the first few stages of WILD just before bed wether i fall asleep or not during my try, i have a better chance at becoming lucid. this seems more likt HIT tho.

Believe it or not, I have never used photshop. I actually have no idea what goes into making a picture like that.

      Interesting....

I'm being yelled at by my mom to grab the camera that's fallen in the water,[/b]
That sounds like a dream that I would have.

I'm suddenly Indiana Jones and I'm with some girl.[/b]
That sounds like fun. I'd like to be Indiana Jones sometime--or at least be with him.

and I was rolling around with it inside of a mall. I was passing people who stared at me with confused looks on their faces,[/b]
That reminds me a bit of my "floating kayak" dream.

      More sex and violence

      Good dream recall!

Oh and about the WILDing.....I believe it works better later in the night after you've had some sleep.

But you could give what Ranma says a try. I might.

      Edit:

Although they usually say to have about 5 hours or so of sleep before trying to WILD, I just checked back at mine and I had my WILD after only 2 hours or so (or maybe less). I wrote that I woke up at 12:15, got up and did a few things, then lay back down and had the successful WILD, then was back up writing it down by 2:00am. So mine happened early in the night.

So I guess we just need to experiment and see what works best for us. If one thing doesn't work, try another...or another.

Yeah, that's kind of like me, too, except I don't lose recall. Instead, something in the dream goes wrong and deters me from it.

a trip to B.C. is in the cards early next year![/b]
      Awesome!

...the WBTB method... likt HIT tho[/b]
Gonna have to ask what those stand for, sorry. Not too educated on all those technicalities and acronyms.

And thanks for your input too, Twoshadows. They were pretty interesting dreams.

I think I may have entered the beginning stages of a WILD two days ago. I was just staring at the ceiling after I woke up at 4:45 AM, and counted back from 100 over and over agian, just staring. Then all I remember is me losing the feel over my body and I felt like my head was falling back into my pillow. I had that falling sensation for a while, and then I didn't really know what to do next, so I tried manipulating my thoughts but after that I gave up and fell asleep.

Only thing I remember from last night is me making out with a girl on a bed. I'm pretty sure we were having sex. That's all I can recall.

These are the kind of things that lead me to precognitions, usually. That is, when I can only remember snippets of dreams and everything else is clouded in darkness.

But I'll post here to help bump your journal replies back up...

with eyes that know the darkness of my soul.

Yeah, that totally stinks. I lost all of mine too, for those days. I realize now that I need some sort of back-up place for my dreams. I mean, I had thought about it before, but I was always putting it off. But I have learned my lesson, I guess.

Well, that's good. Me too, now.

Grrr, I've been getting infuriated for the last couple days. I have been dreaming, and I can recall them everytime I first get up (which has been at 4 or 5 every morning now), but when I get back to sleep and wake up again they're almost completely forgotten.

Now that we have a long weekend, I think I'm going to dedicated tonight to dreaming.

      Finally, some DREAMS!

Two to be approximate. I even tried to WILD this morning, but it was already 7 o'clock and the light in my room hurt my eyes when I tried to stare at something. So I just went to sleep and had another dream.

Anyways, the two were both fairly realistic, and I even remembered some of the conversations and the sound of the voices. This is odd for me because I never remember conversations (even snippets). Both of these dreams happened in Port Moody, my hometown (which I miss like crazy).

      Dream #31 - "Whatcha Ordering?"
      November 9th, 2006

The dream starts off with me driving in an SUV with Jack, in a rainy Port Moody going down the road near Johnson. We pull into a McDonalds, walk inside and notice that everybody's sitting down, waiting in line for their food. It's like a real restaurant. Jack disappears from the dream and I end up sitting down across from this skinny, elderly man. He looks up at me through thick bifocals that make his eyes look a lot bigger than they actually are. His face is skinny and wrinkled, and he's wearing a beige vest with a white shirt underneath.

He looks up and says, "Hi. What's your name?"

I tell him, and he immediately responds with, "What are you ordering?"

      I say, "I'm not sure, I haven't decided yet."

This unfolds into a long, forgotten discussion, but it eventually leads to me asking "How was your Halloween?" (I'm now sitting next to him - maybe the waiting line has moved forward?)

He says, "Don't even get me started..." and proceeds to talk about how some giant, foot-long worm surprised him by crawling out of his pants. I forget how it transitions but suddenly I'm sitting on the other side of the McDonalds lobby, and there's an all-you-can-eat buffet in front of the old man. He picks up a giant noodle and I tell him, "That looks a lot like a worm!" he groans, laughs, and puts the noodle back.

      Dream ends.

Dream #32 - The Sandy Metropolis of Secondary School
      November 9th, 2006

I'm at a cross between Rick Hansen and Heritage Woods (my old school that actually was home to the movie John Tucker Must Die), in the band room of RH. There's a lot of students in formal wear buzzing inside and out of the classroom (just like from the Remembrance Day assembly we had yesterday) I'm sitting down with Jackson and J. McKinnon, and I lean over to Jackson and say:

"Man, Rick Hansen is so fucked up. We only have four blocks a day and a double block."

I forget what he says back, but we get up and walk out of the class. ** We enter the grand hall of HWSS, and walk to the very end until we reach the doorway. After passing through the doorway, the floors become slippery and sandy, and the school is not really a school anymore but an indoor stripmall, awhile everything behind me is still school. I run past Jackson, sliding on the floor, until I get to a large, semi-circular jewelers desk (the glass displays with all the jewelry inside) where Natalie is sitting behind. I'm excited because I haven't seen Natalie in a long time.

I ask her, "So you're working here now?" She nods and says yes.

She then asks me, "Are you working?"

Thinking that she means at that moment, I say, "Obviously not." Me, her, and the people around us laugh. She corrects herself, "No, no, I mean in general."

"Oh, yeah," I say, "at Save-On."

As far as I know, the dream ends here.

** Between these two segments of the dream, I end up finding Brittany and we make out. After finishing, she hands me a lined piece of notebook paper that indicates that I was 'decent' at kissing. Thanks...?

      ______

Not bad at all, I think. Lots of details in these two. It's an improvement that I remembered these conversations.

This is moreso dream snippets, seeing as there were a lot of scenes that I barely remember.

Dream #33 - Me, a 'Custodial' Student? Please...
      November 10th, 2006

I remember being at a fictional school that existed only in the dreamscape of the city I live in now. I stood outside the school for a portion of the dream, and recall looking at the outer walls where "North Surrey" or "Left Surrey" in big bold letters. I also was inside the school for a couple minutes, walking around the weird, neon-lighted halls outside of empty classrooms.

I begin to leave the school, walking up a set of stairs, when an elderly, fat woman with thick glasses (what's with all these old people with glasses lately?) walks after me, saying that I will be in trouble. I tell her off and she says, "You're a custodial student! You're custodial!" which interpreted as 'you're expelled' in the dreamscape. Weird, huh?

The next bit I remember is me and some other friends walking outside of the school in the snow, with the dream still in a weird, 70s-disco neon hue. Now that I look back on it, I have an appreciation for all the warm pinks, purples, and blues that I saw in the dream.

Me and my 'friends' decide to get up to no good, and we stop at an open-roof mall, which is covered in snow all over (don't know why we have an open-roof mall in BC). We start making fun of homeless people/crazy crackheads that are inhabiting the mall. They chase after us and we form circles around them. I remember seeing Bryon in my dream, standing in the middle of a circle of crazed homeless. They looked like zombies, it was both freaky and cool at the same time.

That's all I can recall from this dream. This wasn't bad at all considering I had to wake up at 6 for work this morning.
