Finally, some DREAMS!
Two to be approximate. I even tried to WILD this morning, but it was already 7 o'clock and the light in my room hurt my eyes when I tried to stare at something. So I just went to sleep and had another dream.
Anyways, the two were both fairly realistic, and I even remembered some of the conversations and the sound of the voices. This is odd for me because I never remember conversations (even snippets). Both of these dreams happened in Port Moody, my hometown (which I miss like crazy).
Dream #31 - "Whatcha Ordering?"
November 9th, 2006
The dream starts off with me driving in an SUV with Jack, in a rainy Port Moody going down the road near Johnson. We pull into a McDonalds, walk inside and notice that everybody's sitting down, waiting in line for their food. It's like a real restaurant. Jack disappears from the dream and I end up sitting down across from this skinny, elderly man. He looks up at me through thick bifocals that make his eyes look a lot bigger than they actually are. His face is skinny and wrinkled, and he's wearing a beige vest with a white shirt underneath.
He looks up and says, "Hi. What's your name?"
I tell him, and he immediately responds with, "What are you ordering?"
I say, "I'm not sure, I haven't decided yet."
This unfolds into a long, forgotten discussion, but it eventually leads to me asking "How was your Halloween?" (I'm now sitting next to him - maybe the waiting line has moved forward?)
He says, "Don't even get me started..." and proceeds to talk about how some giant, foot-long worm surprised him by crawling out of his pants. I forget how it transitions but suddenly I'm sitting on the other side of the McDonalds lobby, and there's an all-you-can-eat buffet in front of the old man. He picks up a giant noodle and I tell him, "That looks a lot like a worm!" he groans, laughs, and puts the noodle back.
Dream ends.
Dream #32 - The Sandy Metropolis of Secondary School
November 9th, 2006
I'm at a cross between Rick Hansen and Heritage Woods (my old school that actually was home to the movie John Tucker Must Die), in the band room of RH. There's a lot of students in formal wear buzzing inside and out of the classroom (just like from the Remembrance Day assembly we had yesterday) I'm sitting down with Jackson and J. McKinnon, and I lean over to Jackson and say:
"Man, Rick Hansen is so fucked up. We only have four blocks a day and a double block."
I forget what he says back, but we get up and walk out of the class. ** We enter the grand hall of HWSS, and walk to the very end until we reach the doorway. After passing through the doorway, the floors become slippery and sandy, and the school is not really a school anymore but an indoor stripmall, awhile everything behind me is still school. I run past Jackson, sliding on the floor, until I get to a large, semi-circular jewelers desk (the glass displays with all the jewelry inside) where Natalie is sitting behind. I'm excited because I haven't seen Natalie in a long time.
I ask her, "So you're working here now?" She nods and says yes.
She then asks me, "Are you working?"
Thinking that she means at that moment, I say, "Obviously not." Me, her, and the people around us laugh. She corrects herself, "No, no, I mean in general."
"Oh, yeah," I say, "at Save-On."
As far as I know, the dream ends here.
** Between these two segments of the dream, I end up finding Brittany and we make out. After finishing, she hands me a lined piece of notebook paper that indicates that I was 'decent' at kissing. Thanks...?
______
Not bad at all, I think. Lots of details in these two. It's an improvement that I remembered these conversations.
