I love the pictures!

The silhouette one is cool.

And of course I love the volcano pic.

And, Wow, your "postcard" picture is absolutely perfect. Totally gorgeous.....

Oh and I love when the sun shines through when there is a rainbow and gives everything that yellow-y glow that I can see in that last picture. And that rainbow looks so close. Very beautiful!

And it didn't take forever for my computer to load. But then again, mine is fast. I never thought about it. I hope my pages don't take forever to load, since I always post a gazillion pictures. Have you noticed a problem?

Thanks, I thought it was pretty cool. It was mostly accidental, too - my friend put his finger over the flash and that was the result. I liked it.

And of course I love the volcano pic. [/b]
Of course.

Wow, your "postcard" picture is absolutely perfect.[/b]
Thank you! It was so surreal. I mean, you always see these postcards in the shops with picture-perfect sunsets, and think "Gah, that's so corporate." (or at least I do). Anyways, it was our last night spent in Maui (after an unreal 17 days), and I was walking down to the beach. Lo and behold, I came upon this little scene - the palm trees were perfectly silhouetted, the sun was at its perfect colour and you could just make out the island below it. It was meant to be; people have commented me on that picture, too. So thank you again.

Have you noticed a problem?[/b]
Nope, not really. But then again my computer is fast enough for stuff like that too.

Hmm, awhile I'm here I guess I'll post the snippet of my dream last night.

Dream Snippet
November 27th, 2006

It's snowy out, just like it has been. It's night time, and my dad has come to pick me up at a really early hour in the morning. I'm at the side of his truck, yelling at him through his window, telling him that I didn't want to be picked up. I remember talking to my mom and Ron too. There wasn't much to this dream, just that it was pretty lifelike (petty much like a False Awakening, again).

Starry starry night, paint your pallet blue and gray,
Look out on a summers day,
with eyes that know the darkness of my soul.

You're welcome!

And that reminds me--you mentioned some gorgeous "snow" pictures. (I mean since your pictures are loading just fine for me...you might as well post another one or two.... )

Hehe...great!

Wow...that is a lot of snow. Very beautiful. I'll have to post some of my snow if we get some. But we normally don't get as much as you have in your pictures....although last year we got a good snow. Maybe I'll post one of those.

And I look forward to your sunset pics.....

You know, I was thinking that the method (WBTB) I used to get my LD last night seems to work fairly well for me. I can't say exactly how many LDs I have had by this method, but I believe that this is the most successful method that I have tried.

If you have a day where you can sleep in a little longer than usual without being disturbed, I think you should try this. And keep trying it until you can start LDing. What do you think?

I think this would be helpful - especially with the way my dreams have been turning out lately. I've been able to remember thoughts, conversations, and I've even had notions where I've felt something is off.

Oh, man, that's weak. I don't even know what that would feel like. It was -20 here a couple days ago with the windchill and even that was a bit much for me.

This was a vivid dream. Some of the details are fading but it's still there. I also had a nap dream (which is VERY rare for me) that ended up mixing into everything that was going on in reality, so I'll post that too.

Dream #39 - 24 Hours at Rick Hansen
November 29th, 2006

Okay, the first thing I really remember to kickstart this dream off was me and my sister are walking along the top floor, going in the direction from the Hurricane Studioworks to the stairs. There's these two brown kids in front of us, walking really slow and taking up the hallway. For some reason I'm really angry in this segment, and I'm walking with my big jacket with the angriest expression on my face. My sister is talking to me but I'm not responding, I'm just waiting for these kids ahead of me to trigger some rage. They turn around and say something that I don't remember (or didn't hear) and say, "Hey, what the fuck did you just say?" they respond by saying something else, and I say "Consider yourself lucky." As me and my sister start walking down the stairs, I turn around and say, "Bitch."

Then I'm by myself, still in the school, but I'm walking past these tables and there's these group of girls, one of them is Heather from my old school, and she says "Hey, I don't like that kid. I'm gonna kick his ass." and I just try to ignore them and walk away. Then I remember talking to Terrina in the halls, and there was another threat towards me but I don't remember who made it.

The last section of the dream me and a large group of people were in the main lobby, laying down on their backs, watching Chris and David Bocott playing guitar and drums. We were laying down in rows. It was nighttime, and reminded me sort of of a laser show. Chris was standing right in front of me, busting out some massive solo on his electric. It was weird, though, I'd be concentrating on him, and then everytime I'd anticipate a screw up, he'd screw up. This happened more than once, I was actually willing him to mess up but I'd cringe everytime he did because I felt he was embarrasing himself in front of everybody. Suddenly, someone yelled out "Play grace!" and David got up from the drumset, and both of the guys grabbed their acoustic guitars. Everyone started cheering as Chris and David lay down on the ground too and start plucking/strumming away.

Suddenly, we start singing "Hallelujah" by Jeff Buckley. I join in. It's like a choir in the lobby. We go on for a couple verses, then Sascha, who's apparated into one of the rows, shouts, "Hey, Kale, that's your song!" (I'm known for singing this song whenever I play my acoustic)

I reply, "I know, didn't you see me given 'er?!"

And that's all I remember.

Dream #40 - Nap dream!
November 29th, 2006

Alright, this one was pretty cool, considering I've never remember a dream from a nap before. I remember being in Hansen, AGAIN, and I'm walking from my locker to the upstairs, cause my best friend Jack is here with some other people (me and Jack don't live in the same town anymore). Jayson is following me but I don't want Jack and them to see him cause I'm worried he'll embarrass me. I go to a fictional upstairs, where Jack is talking to E. Lanz, and Evan and some other kid (Matt I think) are whistling love-theme songs. I start talking to everybody, pound Evan and Matts fist with a "whatsup man", and then all of a sudden we head downstairs. Suddenly the dream starts becoming creepy, and we all descend flight after flight of stairs. We head into a basement, and I turn around, and some old man has gotten trapped inside a wall. My heart jumps as a ghost flashes inside the wall too, screaming.

Then I hear the words from one of my friends, who's now in a white labcoat, "His leg has been crushed. Did you do a CATSCAN?" She's referring to the man in the wall.

I woke up shortly after this. It's weird, everything past the part when we started going down the stairs, I could feel myself waking up more and more. I think I even opened my eyes at once and that's why I imagined one of my friends in a white labcoat. It also turns out that my sister was watching "ER Mysteries", and they were talking about someone who had their leg crushed by an out of control driver. Weird how that transitioned into my dream!

Notes for dream (it's only 7:12 AM and I have school, ahh&#33:

Not very vivid; in some multifloored house with friends, then went down to California, inside a Walmart or something like that and asking if they sell alcohol, scene with 'near beer'

Good details.

Hey-- we both had dreams that night with "Hallelujah" music. Interesting.

I have had the occasional dream where reality gets mixed into my dreams like what you were saying with your nap dream. They are often pretty strange. It's funny how our minds try to make up a story to go along with what we are hearing.

Yeah, I know! I remember this one I had when I was probably ten or eleven, and I was dreaming that at my elementary school I had been called up to the principals office. I sit down at a chair, with a bunch of the staff sitting at the opposite end of a table. The principal looks at me, lifts a lamp so it's pointing directly at my face, and then starts clicking it on, and off, and on, and off, and on... and then she says, "Come on, Kale, time to get up for school! Wake up!"

Turns out my sister came into the room and started flicking the lightswitch on and off and was trying to wake me up. Hahaha, it was crazy.

This one was pretty weird, a lot of switching up between first person and third person and different scenes. There's a couple spots which are pretty faded already but I know everything else.

Dream #41 - Day at the Races, The Rink, and the Basement
December 1st, 2006

I'm running along a forest path, surrounded by trees with a lake a little down the path from me. I am in a race. Unfortunately, the only thing I remember from this race is me going up this 'triangular ladder' that was enclosed in a cage (so when you were climbing you couldn't jump off) and unravelling these ribbons that stopped the other competitors and secured me in first place. I'll try to draw what the ladder looked like.

./--\
/-/\-\
|-||-|
|-||-|
|-||-|

So basically, I had to climb up this metal ladder in the forest, and once it started to bend inwards, I'd have to untie these ribbons that connected the bending ladder from the straight ladder, and once I did that, I won. I wish that I could remember what I won.

Next thing I know I'm at a hockey rink, no particular one, with Josh and Colin. We're going around the ice, not paying attention to the players, just talking to each other. Suddenly I see Brittany and R. Moon and I give both of them a giant hug. I remember the conversation, but it was mostly, "How is it going? I haven't seen you in so long." Also at the rink I remember telling Colin that'd I'd fight him (when I was suddenly perched up on top of the glass); he laughed and said he'd work me. I told him let's do it, but the dream transitioned before anything interesting happened.

Now I'm at the fictional house of Jack's dads. I end up waking up in this room of his. We start talking and doing all the stuff we normally do, and then I somehow end up in a basement with Britt, R. Moon and the same kid that sits on my bus. We're walking through this basement, and it's really creepy. Everything's all old and dusty. We all go through this one door which takes us into a large stone hallway that had several small doorways leading into darkness (not doors, just holes). I'm talking to the kid my bus about Colin, but I forget what we say.

Suddenly, they all disappear and I'm up on the top floor of Jack's dads house. Neil, Mel and some other girl are there. I say to them that I have to leave, and I go to use the phone. This phone was really cool because it had a GPS screen attached to it that showed the location of whoever I was going to call. I remember I had to call my mom so she could come pick me up because it was too late to catch the ferry/bus/taxi? It rang, and the GPS showed her as a red blip on the screen, on a street that was not too far from this fictional house of Jacks. The highway she was on went something like "Howard Thorne" or "Hughes Thorne", and I asked her if she could pick me up. She argued at first that it would take forever and that I should've thought about it before I decided to sleep in, but then I told her, "You're only like five minutes away."

I gave her directions, "Turn left, left again, right, right, there you go." and as I said each word I saw as the red blip turned from street to street, under a bridge, and disappear under a bundle of trees (which were somehow represented on the GPS). She said, "Alright, I see you. Let's go."

I walk down the hallway, which is also really old and gives the appearance of some old lady that lives by herself and smokes a lot. I pass Mel, Neil, and the other girl who are all sitting on the couch, and start walking down the stairs. I say, "I gotta go, guys, see ya later." their voices are muffled in reply, "Bye Kale."

For some reason, I walk into the basement, because I want to say goodbye to Brittany. I pass through the same old rooms and look to the right, there's a young girl with dark hair sitting at this piano. I think, Brittany!, and go to say goodbye. As I get closer, the girl gets older, and finally when I reach the piano, I see that her hand is all pale, wrinkled and is speckled. The girl looks at me, and it turns out it is really an elderly woman with a very round face. She asks, "Won't you play the piano with me?" I say sure, and we both play for a good thirty seconds or so. She says thank you and I leave.

I walk outside onto the street without shoes and approach my moms red car, and I tell her, "I can't find my shoes."

Suddenly, she bursts out, "Oh my God! Jack's dad has locked your sisters in the basement! Go find them!" I immediately remember that Brittany and R. were locked down there too, so me and my mom go into the basement to find them. The old lady is not there anymore, and I come to a grim realization that it was a ghost, and I had helped her passing by playing the piano with her. For some reason I wasn't scared at all, but happy. I remember questioning this feeling as me and my mom went from room to room.

I went into this one room that was all drywall, and the roof had collapsed which left me with about three feet of space to maneuver. I tried crawling forward, and this skeleton hand shot out at me. I should've been scared, but I just called to my mom, "There's a skeleton in here and it tried to grab me!" and then grabbed the skeleton hand and shoved it back under the drywall.

I also checked the mildewy bathroom and pretty much everywhere else, but we end up finding them behind a locked door that lead to the stone hallway. We find my sisters and Britt and R. there. I hug the girls (not my sisters) goodbye and then I woke up.
________

One note, I found myself questioning a lot of things in this dream. There were a lot of sensations that something was wrong (like with Mel and Neil, they're not even going out anymore), and same with me playing the piano with the grandma ghost. I've noticed that with each dream I'm becoming more vivid, recalling more conversations, and remembering more thoughts that have managed to surface along with my common sense in the dream world.

That's really cool. I like the ghost part. I also like that you were questioning it.

I should've been scared, but I just called to my mom, "There's a skeleton in here and it tried to grab me!" and then grabbed the skeleton hand and shoved it back under the drywall.[/b]
That's great.

Keep it up.

Do you have a date set for the WBTB? I think I will try it again tonight.

I have not set up a date for the WBTB; this entire weekend I haven't had anytime to sleep in (worked Friday night, saturday in the morning, and sunday in the morning)... so, that will have to wait until next weekend most likely. Thanks for reading.

Alright, last nights dream is pretty hazy; remember, I had to wake up at 6 in the morning so it never really finished off. I'll write what I do remember.

Dream #42 - CoLd and Homeless and the Haunted House
December 2nd, 2006

Seems like my last couple of dreams have involved ghosts somehow, except last nights actually contained a little bit more of a shock factor. Not necessarily a nightmare, but it got my heart racing to say the least. Very fast-paced.

It started off with me at a Wendy's. Apparently I had just worked and my mom hadn't been there to pick me up, so I had somehow come to the conclusion that I should go to a fastfood restaurant. This restaurant was at the top of a hill, at the left corner of a T-Junction, with the road going straight down the hill.

I'm inside and I order a burger. Just one, and it comes without a wrapper. I phone my mom and ask her if she was going to pick me up at the Wendy's. She makes up some excuse about how I was supposed to meet her outside my work and how she can't pick me up tonight, so I have to find a way home on my own. Well, I take my burger and go outside, where it's now nighttime and really cold. The last thing I remember from this segment was me, in third-person, with my head resting against the ground. I had massive bags under my eyes and I looked homeless. I remember having my half-eaten cheeseburger with me, but it looked rotten and gross. Then it transitioned.

I'm at my house in Abby by myself. There's a cold, evil atmosphere in this house. I look at my cat and he meows. The door right behind him (the laundry room) swings open and a cold wind rushes through the air. I run to the door and try to close it. I manage, but an invisible hand rips it open again. It sucks my cat out. I feel as if the entire side of the house is pulsating inwards, like its being sucked into a vortex. I run out into the kitchen, and watch as Ron walks through the door, and say, "Yep, our house is haunted!"

I'm skipping out on some details, but I know some other freaky stuff happened (most likely in the kitchen), and how me and Ron started combatting this ghost. Then my alarm went off and I woke up.

So dramatic... Poor CB abandoned by his own mother. Sad....(but kind of funny.)

Yeah...you and Ranma with all your ghost/presence dreams....weird.

Had a pretty good one last night. Notes:

- grocery store/corner store with Brittany and Ida, hug both of them
- talk about going to Starbucks or for Sushi
- I leave, hug Britt, kiss her
- up on a baseball/football field at nighttime with Josh/Jackson
- being hunted by cops, cop in car on field, yell at him and lay flat on stomachs on field
- run down hill at full speed, cop chases us with knife then disappears
- go to corner store, take out wallet, lady asks for ID, give her my L license
- inside a house, taylor comes and I give her a big hug, she starts screaming and clutches her knee, I feel terrible
- walking around, pretty much it

Hey--

You and Ranma showed up in one of my dreams last night. Unfortunately I don't remember any details.

But I'm thinking, even though I can't remember, we could have still have been having the most interesting conversation ever... solving all the world's problems... etc....

Hey CB! thinking about what you said about having dream synchronicty stories. well i recently had one with TS, the rest is mere speculation. Why not have our own? pick a night a week CB and we'll see if we can try it. compare DJ's weekly and see if anything happens after a while? i'm only one timezone away so it would have a chance! what do you think?

Wow, that's really interesting. How does it work? Do you just go to sleep like normal, with the intent of synchronizing or what? Fill me in please, because I'd love to try this out.

That's unfortunate. At least you've had inklings of dreams! The last two days I've remembered nothin'.

Yeah with the intent! it's sort of like, giving the person a brief thought and then not thinking about it it as you fall asleep. Try to feel the desire instead of thinking about it too much. Synchronicity in anything is like that.

In a shamanic based forum that i belong too it begins with a statement that :you have permission to dream with me. it's sort of like saying to your friend "pop by my house sometime!" and a few days later they show up. that feeling alone should set it up.

the results so far on the forum is that once in a while i have a dream of the leader. once Many of the group had a collective dream the same night of meeting him on a beach or meeting the other forum members on a beach. recently we all dreamed of being on a mountain, only my dream was recalled while i was dreaming when i allowed the invisible presence to interact with me.
