This one was pretty weird, a lot of switching up between first person and third person and different scenes. There's a couple spots which are pretty faded already but I know everything else.
Dream #41 - Day at the Races, The Rink, and the Basement
December 1st, 2006
I'm running along a forest path, surrounded by trees with a lake a little down the path from me. I am in a race. Unfortunately, the only thing I remember from this race is me going up this 'triangular ladder' that was enclosed in a cage (so when you were climbing you couldn't jump off) and unravelling these ribbons that stopped the other competitors and secured me in first place. I'll try to draw what the ladder looked like.

So basically, I had to climb up this metal ladder in the forest, and once it started to bend inwards, I'd have to untie these ribbons that connected the bending ladder from the straight ladder, and once I did that, I won. I wish that I could remember what I won.
Next thing I know I'm at a hockey rink, no particular one, with Josh and Colin. We're going around the ice, not paying attention to the players, just talking to each other. Suddenly I see Brittany and R. Moon and I give both of them a giant hug. I remember the conversation, but it was mostly, "How is it going? I haven't seen you in so long." Also at the rink I remember telling Colin that'd I'd fight him (when I was suddenly perched up on top of the glass); he laughed and said he'd work me. I told him let's do it, but the dream transitioned before anything interesting happened.
Now I'm at the fictional house of Jack's dads. I end up waking up in this room of his. We start talking and doing all the stuff we normally do, and then I somehow end up in a basement with Britt, R. Moon and the same kid that sits on my bus. We're walking through this basement, and it's really creepy. Everything's all old and dusty. We all go through this one door which takes us into a large stone hallway that had several small doorways leading into darkness (not doors, just holes). I'm talking to the kid my bus about Colin, but I forget what we say.
Suddenly, they all disappear and I'm up on the top floor of Jack's dads house. Neil, Mel and some other girl are there. I say to them that I have to leave, and I go to use the phone. This phone was really cool because it had a GPS screen attached to it that showed the location of whoever I was going to call. I remember I had to call my mom so she could come pick me up because it was too late to catch the ferry/bus/taxi? It rang, and the GPS showed her as a red blip on the screen, on a street that was not too far from this fictional house of Jacks. The highway she was on went something like "Howard Thorne" or "Hughes Thorne", and I asked her if she could pick me up. She argued at first that it would take forever and that I should've thought about it before I decided to sleep in, but then I told her, "You're only like five minutes away."
I gave her directions, "Turn left, left again, right, right, there you go." and as I said each word I saw as the red blip turned from street to street, under a bridge, and disappear under a bundle of trees (which were somehow represented on the GPS). She said, "Alright, I see you. Let's go."
I walk down the hallway, which is also really old and gives the appearance of some old lady that lives by herself and smokes a lot. I pass Mel, Neil, and the other girl who are all sitting on the couch, and start walking down the stairs. I say, "I gotta go, guys, see ya later." their voices are muffled in reply, "Bye Kale."
For some reason, I walk into the basement, because I want to say goodbye to Brittany. I pass through the same old rooms and look to the right, there's a young girl with dark hair sitting at this piano. I think, Brittany!, and go to say goodbye. As I get closer, the girl gets older, and finally when I reach the piano, I see that her hand is all pale, wrinkled and is speckled. The girl looks at me, and it turns out it is really an elderly woman with a very round face. She asks, "Won't you play the piano with me?" I say sure, and we both play for a good thirty seconds or so. She says thank you and I leave.
I walk outside onto the street without shoes and approach my moms red car, and I tell her, "I can't find my shoes."
Suddenly, she bursts out, "Oh my God! Jack's dad has locked your sisters in the basement! Go find them!" I immediately remember that Brittany and R. were locked down there too, so me and my mom go into the basement to find them. The old lady is not there anymore, and I come to a grim realization that it was a ghost, and I had helped her passing by playing the piano with her. For some reason I wasn't scared at all, but happy. I remember questioning this feeling as me and my mom went from room to room.
I went into this one room that was all drywall, and the roof had collapsed which left me with about three feet of space to maneuver. I tried crawling forward, and this skeleton hand shot out at me. I should've been scared, but I just called to my mom, "There's a skeleton in here and it tried to grab me!" and then grabbed the skeleton hand and shoved it back under the drywall.
I also checked the mildewy bathroom and pretty much everywhere else, but we end up finding them behind a locked door that lead to the stone hallway. We find my sisters and Britt and R. there. I hug the girls (not my sisters) goodbye and then I woke up.
________
One note, I found myself questioning a lot of things in this dream. There were a lot of sensations that something was wrong (like with Mel and Neil, they're not even going out anymore), and same with me playing the piano with the grandma ghost. I've noticed that with each dream I'm becoming more vivid, recalling more conversations, and remembering more thoughts that have managed to surface along with my common sense in the dream world.
