Struggling with recall now, probably because I'm changing sleep schedules.
I had one dream about my car wheels falling off my new RunX, and a mechanic had to come look at it.
And another dream... which I no longer remember... dammit.

That lucky Luke dream is quite disturbing. I read that and thought... ouch!

Noticed your last batch of dreams all had non human DC's. Think that means anything?

Never thought of that. I don't think it means anything, but then I suck at dream interpretation

I've been struggling to remember my dreams lately. And I've had an almost perpetual headache. Probably related.
And no, it's not related to polyphasic sleep, because this schedule is a whole lot easier than the ones I've tried before - without headaches.

I had an awesome lucid dream last night. But I forgot a lot of it :/

Flying around a theme park, Failing a tornado task
I'm in a kitchen, not mine, and I'm talking snippets of Japanese to my wife (I'm learning japanese).

For some reason, I become lucid, maybe because I was struggling more than usual with the language.
But the scene is so vivid and real, I can barely believe it's actually a dream. I can 'feel' it's a dream though.
So I lift my legs up and levitate across the kitchen, to prove it for sure.

My wife asks me to do something with some stuff in a bucket... trash maybe. Or clothing.
I get annoyed because I know I'm dreaming and tell her that I can't waste my time on this.
I drop the bin and exit the door behind me.

Not having anything in particular to do, I decide to fly.
But I struggle a little, and as a 'shortcut' I make my wife come out from the house to nag me .. I put more willpower into it, and I take off, a bit like superman.

I see in the distance, a colourful fantasy castle - I think it's a theme park. It's in the middle of a lake.
I head for it, and fly in the front arch past some guards.
The entrance area has what seems to be bumper cars.

I fly through the castle and land on the far side. There's a big black metal grille in front of me - incredibly high. So high, it's a challenge to fly over.
I fly upwards as fast as I can, and make it over.

I land on the other side, and try to remember what else I'd like to do.
I remember the tornado task, and try summoning a tornado.
The wind whips around, but it won't solidify in a tornado.
Annoyed, I use my finger to help me concentrate on the movement. I wiggle my finger in a circular motion.

I don't think I got the tornado right, and the dream ended soon after

      Nice dream
Currently practicing WILD. I quote Kaniaz who said it best: "The point of WILD is to piss me off". Though, I have not given up, far from it.

Thanks. I had a wierd one last night too, but memory fails me..

      Escape Thing
I've had a similar dream to this before - I'm trying to escape some people in a strange city.
This time I end up hanging from the rooftops and gutters outside.
Theres an ocean on the one side, but the city seems to be very sandy - like a desert.
There's 2 other guys I bump into out there, also trying to run away.

We all find a window that we break into, and I take some of the stuff in there to help me.
I go outside, and peruse the stalls set up there.
I remember speaking to a girl there, but don't remember much else.

Nice dream. And so close to achieving the tornado task. That's a hell of alot closer than I've been. Havn't had time to seriously practice LDing lately.

Regardless, you have some totally intersting and odd dreams. I always look forward to stopping in here. The dreams of a mad scientist are always excellent reading material.

Vex: Yeah, I've been having some zany dreams lately. Partly cos I had to break the polyphasic routine again for valentines and a family do.
      The tornado was annoying :S

      African-Japanese Society
This is a really wierd and convoluted dream..

I was in this kind of hospital, and they have a section for kids to be adopted, and can't find homes.
There's this cute little Japanese baby with a note above it in Japanese. I can't remember what it said exactly (I'm learning Japanese IRL)
I contemplate adopting and asking my wife about it.

The next thing, I'm looking out the window, and the building begins to shake powerfully. Then the world outside the window starts moving, and then flying past really fast.
When it starts slowing down, outside is a very rural african country with huts and thatch. It stops and I walk out with a lot of people.

My friend Morgan is there, for some reason. The society is a mixture of Japanese and African (wierd I know, but I was joking about something like this yesterday - talking Japanese with an African accent)
I'm shuffled into this meeting of ... elders?.. who need to examine me to determine if I can be let into their society, and perhaps into their elder's group.

Part of the ritual involves me going to each elder and saying a Japanese phrase (one of the elders told me the words) and softly biting each one's ear in turn.

I make my way around. The elders are a real mix. The 'main' elder seems to be an old oriental woman, and the others are a motley mix of middle age women, teenage girls, etc. In fact, I don't remember a single male.

At the end of the ritual, they seem happy with me, but one of them makes a suggestion of getting me drunk to see what I'm really about.
      Everyone walks out, including me.

I end up following a middle age woman, and everyone goes to sit down in some stadium seats. I try to find a spot near my friend, and there's only one behind him.

The middle age woman sits next to me, and .. I don't remember how .. somehow I end up drinking.

We get to talking and in the process of her mentioning some things, I give her some words of wisdom. Something like this:

'Can I give you some advice? (Yes Okay) You seem to feel that you're inadequate, and others are better than you somehow. But you must remember that there's nothing that they do, that you can't do as well - given enough time and energy. You can do anything you put your mind to.'

      Well, something along those lines..
      Don't remember much else

I just remember a snippet of a dream.

      Supercar!
I'm speeding on a straight, flat highway with a sports car. This thing can do 1-100 in under 5 seconds. I'm loving the speed and acceleration until someone pulls into the fast lane and I have to slow down dramatically.
As soon as he pulls over again, I enjoy the 5 second to 100 feature again

I have a passenger but not sure who.

I'm probably not going to remember any dreams for a few days, as I'm going fully polyphasic again.
The initial adaptation is too tough to have and recall my dreams.

I had one of those really wierd low level lucids while napping
I think I'll color those with purple

      Muscle bike

I'm upstairs at my desk at home, and can feel myself getting so tired, I can't open my eyes.
So I get up to fetch my metabolism pills to help me. I get half way across the room, struggling against my need for sleep.
I collapse and begin crawling along the carpet, trying to reach the pills.

Then I feel something tugging at my feet. I get dragged down the stairs and out onto the lawn by my dad's dogs.
I wonder if they intend eating me (with horror) but when they stop, they pull off my shoes and run off with them.

I managed to get up and recover, and I chase them. They run away yelping.
But one of the small dogs decides to growl and get obnoxious to me. I kick it across the lawn (wierd, I'd never do that IRL).

I have a huge twang of guilt, but remind myself that it's just a dream. Still, out of curiosity I walk up to the reeds where the dog landed, and pick it up.
      It's dead.

Once again, reminding myself that it's not real, I decide to go talk to my dad.
Then I decide against it - I don't want to tell my "father" that I killed his dog.

So instead, I run across the property towards the gate, and jump and float over it.
I run up the road. Suddenly there's a bicycle under me.
I decide that's rubbish, and will a motorbike into existence.

I'm suddenly riding on a black muscle bike - like a wide harley.
I ride down the road towards the water skiing place.

Suddenly I have a wierd idea - I spin the bike around and face the traffic.
There's about 10 cars behind me.
I create a forcefield / shield around me and the bike, and watch the traffic as it piles up into my forcefield.
Some cars swerve and hit the shield at an angle, and careen into the side of the road. Others just get squashed up in the front of it.

The scene changes, and I'm lying on the neighbour's lawn near their pond. There's a ragdoll/troll thing on the grass.

The scene changes again, but I don't recall to what.

A false awakening from a nap. Interesting ..

      Burglars
I'm dreaming that I'm upstairs and I hear a noise. I look over the balcony and am confused that the front door is open.
It's dark, so I can't see very well.
As I'm about to come downstairs, I notice that the TV cabinet is at an angle, and it looks like the TV is missing.

I feel my heart sink, but then remember that the alarm must have been on - why didn't it go off??

PS: The reason I had this dream was because I went downstairs and heard a noise while I was sitting in the study. I walked around with a crossbow and a panic button, but found nothing.
But when I went upstairs, I set the alarm before I was out of range of the sensor and set off the alarm for a split second.
The security company never called me - which pisses me off no end. Perhaps it didn't go off long enough..

      Nothing exciting.

      Parking Lot
This is only a snippet of a larger dream :S
I'm in this parking area, and, at first, I'm leaving with my car.
There's this guy with a bike in the way, which I moan about, and drive around him.

At some point, I'm parking my car instead ? *scratch head*
I get out and take 1 suitcase and a backpack to a waiting bus or train (I forget)

Hey there, congratz on the lucidity and that forcefield thing sounds awesome. Must put that on my LD to do list.

See you had problems keeping moving too in your last dream. Most of my dreams had to do with trying to get someplace but being held up by one thing or another. And I also had a train in my dream. The train was loaded with angry priests.

      Lol! Angry priests.
And yeah, I'm big on forcefields. They're fun.
And becoming like a ghost, too. You know, like the twins in the Matrix. Nothing can hurt you.

Funny you mention priests, because last night's dream was downright wierd..

I'm too scared to name this
I'm in a meeting of some sort, and keep getting calls.
I answer one of them, and someone rambles something about the pope
I put down, but they keep calling.

Later on in the dream (I'm forgetting things) I'm confronted by some bishops and priests, and coerced into a vehicle to head for some kind of catholic holy safe house. Perhaps in the vatican.

They're trying to explain to me that I'm of some importance in preventing a great evil, etc etc.

We get to the safe house, and we get out.
At the gate is this big, red snake/dragon creature. And around the safe house are even bigger versions of him, which walk around on the ends of their tails. They seem to be patrolling around the place.
They're really huge - their heads reach twice as high as the house.

The snake critter at the gate tells me that he creates the big brutes that are patrolling. He's supposedly one of the good guys.

But something freaks me out (probably him) and I tell everyone to shove their $#@ and I walk away.
One of them goes after me and hands me a brochure, which I remember vividly.

Most of the brochure has the usual wierd catholic tradition stuff, of elaborate explanations and pictures of catholic dogma. Pretty pictures, but I ignored them.

But in one section, it starts by saying that most churches condemn the other churches to .. lack of salvation.
It quotes from my religion a few times, showing such a thing.
Then it quotes from the bible about Jesus loving those who love him in spirit and truth, etc etc.
For some reason, the brochure makes me loosen up a bit.

I walk back to the safe house, and at the gate I hear strange words in my head. As if above me.
(I wonder if my wife was chatting to me... lol)

They're rambling off too fast, but I try to repeat as much as I can. It seems like a chant or spell of some sort, but it's directed from a holy source. Odd, I know.

Suddenly, a radial pattern of pillars rumbles out of the ground and rises into the air around the safe house.
      Really awesome sight.

The furthest pillars are the highest, allowing us to jump from pillar to pillar.
At the top pillar there's some kind of vehicle (I forget), which takes us up towards a huge castle.

It's a sort of dark looking castle, with a lot of reds and browns.
Someone or something tells me that this is Camelot, and it's been safely hidden all these centuries - specifically to save us in the future.

Unfortunately, I think I woke up before reaching it.

I had this lucid during my midday nap... let's see if I can still remember it all. It includes the lucid task for the month.
      I WILDed into this one.

      Snake Task

I began counting and visualising numbers every half breath.
I didn't reach 100 before I already felt like I was falling into a dream state.
So I imagined myself on a raft, drifting in the ocean.

Before long, I'm turning over, and looking at the ocean. There's this mean fish trying to jump out and take my face off. I shift to the middle of the raft to avoid him.
I drift onto a shore, but before I reach it, I fall off into the water. Face down.

I get up, and look at the island. Palm trees, etc, with a path leading down the middle.
I start walking down the path, and I get a glimpse from ahead of what the island looks like (like a camera zoom out of sorts)

The island is star shaped, and has a huge water slide in the middle. It seems deserted other than the palm trees.
I walk to the middle of the island, near the slide, and remember my task again.

So I try to will some snakes into existence.
But instead of snakes, I get little hopping scorpions
I kick a few around and try again.. with a bit more success.
After some effort, they solidify into a ring of snakes around me, getting mean with me.

I create a small forcefield around me, and this time it has this white explosion as it comes into existence, exploding from the bottom up.
When it's over, I have a massive condom covering me .. wtf?
I ignore it (And it disappears at some point)

Remember that I intend to rid the snakes using forcefields, I summon my strength and clap my hands, and place them on the ground (like Full Metal Alchemist, for those who know).

A translucent red forcefield starts to grow outwards, but it struggles to push the snakes at first, and starts to get this wave effect ... pushing them back in waves.

As I get it stronger and more solid, I push with more and more strength. The snakes get pushed backwards further until the outer part of my forcefields touches some bushes (no longer palm trees?)
      The bush ignites.

I realise that my forcefield isn't exactly kind on the environment, and hesitate.
I decide I don't care about this island anyway, and carry on pushing.

Eventually, the forcefield is on the very edge of the island and most snakes are in the water. Just one little star point has a metre or so to go.
I push that last little bit and notice that the water is boiling, and the island sand is sizzling and smoking.

Content that I rid the island of snakes, I begin to worry about the hot sand I'm standing on.
I lift my legs and float in the air in a foetal (?) position, deciding what to do next.

I decide to get a better look of the earth, so I fly upwards like a rocket past the earth's atmosphere, and into orbit.

Looking down on the earth, it's semi-translucent. I can see layers of various colours in the spinning globe.
In the middle I can see some sort of movement.
      I decide to investigate it.

So I take off toward the earth like a speeding comet. I'm gather fire and radiation, and my head is like a giant matchstick on fire.
I connect deep into the earth, but the spin put me off a bit.
I push the rest of the way, and emerge into a liquid area in the middle.

There's two guys sitting there in front of consoles.
The blue liquid starts to escape through the hole I made, and the blonde guy tells me that I'd better plug it. And calls me 'dude'.

I find some metal sheets nearby, and put them over the hole, then look back at the blonde guy.
He's wearing a kind of airtight suit, but I can see through the helmet that he's a surfing type, with wild blonde hair.

I ask them what they're doing. They tell me that someone has to run the place. Moving tectonic plates, etc etc etc.
They control what you might call 'Gaia' (mother earth).

The dream ends somewhere around here.

      That was an amazing lucid.
      *turns green with envy*

Lol at the forcefield condom. I'm amazed that the snakes didn't see you, fear the site of a giant walking rubber and flee. I know I would have. And OMG the mental image of that is seared into my brain now.

      :bravo:
      Niiiice dream.

Thank you thank you. but it wasn't as good as it sounds - it's one of my low level nap WILD's, which means a lot of it is seen from outside my body, and I have to try ignore the sensation of my real body.
So it's not as vivid as a good DILD, but a whole lot easier to achieve.

Anyway, I just had another one just like that. Actually very similar, because I used the same technique of the raft on the ocean, island, etc
This time I tried some other lucid tasks.

      More tasks done
Just like last time, I'm on a raft in the ocean. I turn over to look at the pretty water, which looks a bit cartoonish.
And quite unexpectedly, a huge shark tries to take my face off.

I turn ghost-like, just in time to save my lucid life, and in the process fall off the raft.
Luckily I'm on shore of an island already.

The shark jumps out of the water to bite down on me again, and I protect myself with my hand in a martial arts 'chop' position.
My hand automatically turns into a blade (unintentional) and slices the shark clean in two.
It sinks to the bottom and blood seeps into the water.
I get out the water fast before more sharks arrive.

I then look at my hand, as it returns to normal. It's very similar to the T2000 in terminator 2. My hand morphs into shape, but remains silver. And then the silver seeps inwards and my skin returns to normal colour.

The 'camera' returns to a third party perspective (it does this a lot in these kinds of WILDS, for me).
I have bright pink hair - like in vexx's sig. Only with big ponytails on either side. (There's joke hats like this in the shop, which I'm sure is where this comes from)

I shake my head and it turns green. I shake it again, and it turns blue and frizzy/untidy.
I try to enter my lucid body again, and a strange thing happens - instead of getting the hairdo and body, I end up getting my own body and a tiny pink haired manga girl is standing next to me.

I reckon this is a neat trick, and decide to use it to get myself a leprechaun (other lucid task for the month).
I 'zoom out' and transform into green hair and clothes and hat. My hair turns black despite my attempts though.
As I spin around into my body, a leprechaun, as intended, is next to me.

But he shrinks quickly until he's the size of my small finger. I pick him up and ask him for money, but he squeals and refuses.
I squeeze him and it looks really amusing, like a dog toy. I think some money comes out, but I soon forget about the money and just enjoy squishing him - cos it looks so wierd.

I feel a bit guilty after a few squeezes and I apologize and put him down.
      He doesn't look impressed.
He breathes in a few times, and he grows in size. His proportions change though, and his chest fills out making him look a bit scary.
And he gets this wierd little mustache and butler coat.

I figure I've done the lucid task, so I ignore him and try to remember another lucid task. The bobbing for apples one comes to mind.
I look at the beach water, but think better of it. I don't need sharks to contend with.

So I walk a bit inland, looking for water before thinking 'what the hell - just summon it, twit'
So I walk to a nearby tree, look away, and look back on a quaint half barrel of water. A few fruits drop into it from the tree above.
Most are green, but 2 are red. I throw out the green ones.

I start bobbing, and almost get it when a little crocodile creature tries to take my face off - just like the shark did.
I grab it by the tail and fling it out.

This time I 'corner' the apple against the side of the barrel and manage to pick it up. Happy with myself, the apple disappears and I start thinking about what to do next.

Dragons come to mind, but I can't think of a dragon lucid task.
The only lucid task I can think of is the really old one about going to the sun or something.

So I jump into the air and spin around - turning into a ball of fire.
I head towards the sun as fast as I can. It takes a few seconds before the sun is in sight.

But when I hit the damn thing, I bounce back!
I examine this and realize that my fire and it's fire has different patterns (although both very pretty)
So I put a veneer of the sun's pattern around me, and slip into the sun.

In side are about 6 little dark-skinned men pulling levers.
And for some reason I keep turning into 'Jak' (from the game). I struggle to keep my form.
The little men say 'you're not meant to be here!' with some shock in their voices, and after a second or two they yell 'let's get out of here'
They head for the far end of the sun where I see there's a set of big double doors.

I walk towards it, and hesitate, wondering what will happen if the sun is left unattended.
I figure 'screw that' and look at the open door. Beyond it is total darkness - like it's sucking in all light.

I walk into it, and .. wake up. Not even a chance to stop it. darn.

Anyway, that's 3 lucid tasks in one dream. That's gotta be a record or something.

Damn. Okay, maybe not. The sun task involved bringing back a piece. Bugger.

I've been sleeping 100% monophasic for a while. Will continue to do so until
      1) Steve Pavlina goes polyphasic again (he's thinking about it) .. or..
      2) All my visitors go away . I have a new bunch arriving soon.

Had some crazy dreams last night

The first one involved living in this atlantis-type civilization, and someone did something heinous that caused the city to fall apart. The ground underneath us turned into slush/ice and I was trying to lead everyone to safety.
Afterwards, I went back to find my wife, and found her in a woman's only apartment in a section of the city.

The second involved this reality-based game. Similar to the one I had about mortal kombat.
But this is a huge serpent in a pit, and I have a sword and have to dodge balls of energy that it spits at me.
Like a boss character in a game, I suppose.
At some point, it accidentally kills a contestant, and the serpent turns out to be a witch of sorts. The witch turns back the events, but then everyone harasses her asking for their own little miracles to come true.

      Haven't logged a dream in a while.
But I had two wierd ones last night that I feel the need to write down

      Wife dying
This was a long vivid dream, but I don't remember much now, except that there was a stream nearby.
The main thing I remember is that I knew that my wife was going to die (she was in the dream, and not dead yet)
The intense emotion that this caused me is what stuck out for me. I woke up feeling incredibly depressed and upset.
It occurs to me that I probably wouldn't want to live if my wife died.

      Cave elephant babies
I'm with a crew of people led by Steve Irwin, or someone similar.
They're explaining that really young elephant babies are hard to approach, but they're so beautiful.

Apparently the elephants are in a cave. Hibernating.
However the parent elephant sleeps in naps - waking up from time to time to check on the babies who don't seem to sleep much.
I'm playing with the babies.. but they're not elephants at all (this doesn't occur to me at the time though)
They're more like small stripey wombat things, and they're very licky and cute.

We hear movement and noise in the back of the cave and know that the elephant parent is awake, so we beat a hasty retreat.
As we're running I get the sensation that the elephant is chasing us.
We reach this cliff face that has a lower 'step' in it. I climb on and try to climb up to the top, but it's quite tough.

I'm about to manage it when Steve throws out some ropes and we all grab on. Turns out the rope is attached to something pretty fast and strong on the other side, and we get pulled violently over the cliff onto the other side of it - literally flying.
There was something behind me that was also attached to a rope, and got damaged in the process. A big laptop or something. Not sure.

I think we end up landing on some sort of huge inflatable mattress thing.

Cusp: Glad you found it amusing - it was pretty nuts!
Moonbeam: First time for me to dream of Steve. He's not my type

I remember one beeeg dream last night, but the dream keeps changing so much it's hard to know how to split it.

      Me, the examiner
I'm at a kind of outdoor event/party with food. Pity I wasn't lucid, the experience could have been interesting.
I'm taking food from here and there, and eating it off a flimsy plate. Might be paper.

Afterwards, around the corner (still outdoors) are dozens of tables with students sitting at them.
They're apparently doing an exam, and the bunch of people from the party are the exam police.

One or two kids are pushing their luck, and the other examiners are way too lenient.
I actually felt like decking some of the kids. Felt quite violent in the dream.
After one kid chats to the guy next to him, I butt in and tell him that if he does it again, consider his exam over.

      Changed to : Toilet Search
After a bit of this, I go looking for a toilet. Which is dangerous because it probably means I really need it in real life, and if I do actually go, well, I might actually go.

I walk to the school building (nothing like the school I knew) and follow the signs to the bathroom.
It goes through an entertainment area which looks incredibly familiar to me for some reason.
There's some guys in there playing pool. They stop me and give me a hard time about using that toilet because it's only for 'the doctor'. Doctor of what.. dunno.

After fighting about it for a bit, we go look for the doctor to clear it up.
I explain that I'm an examiner, and just need the bloody toilet.

I can't recall whether I ended up going, but I'm guessing not, since my bed is nice and dry this morning
And usually I either become lucid or wake up when I see the toilet.

      Changed to: Airshow disaster
I'm outside again, and there's an airshow now. 2 gorgeous jets swoop low over the crowd, but one of the planes suddenly loses a wing and tail section, and erupts a nice flame from the back.

Obviously I'm shocked, and know that the pilot is in huge .. doodoos
He miraculously manages to wheel the plane around and crash land in the crowd.

It's hurtling towards me, only now it looks like an old antique plane.
I can't get entirely out the way and one of the supports for the wheels and wing knock catch my legs.

Don't remember much else. Maybe I was meant to die there.

Oh sorry I didn't mean it like that. I just really liked him and still think it's sad that he died.

I'll try to make more constructive/coherent/less lame comments in your DJ from now on.

How's the sleep schedule going? Are you still experimenting with that?
