Nothing. Wonderful. It is AP testing week, though, and I am under a lot of stress. (Even though I have no AP courses) Just completed a HUGE project, but I can't get to bed before 11:00. It's been like this for over 2 weeks. (What is it about April/May that makes my life so busy?) I hope for a schedule change soon.

I could faintly remember something... orange. Still, it's progress. I used WBTB-WILD in attempt for LD. Used orange juice, cheese, and chocolate. BT: 7:45 (I have waited too long to be able to do this) WBTB: 11:45 (3 Hrs.) Pretty gloomy yesterday, rain (gentle, but still rain) all day, resulting in a storm and canceling a golf competition.

5/10/09 (Mother's Day)

'Kay, got something. I was in a court scene, not sure what the accusations were, but as a jury member, I was blindfolded before going into the court room (to be unbiased based on appearance... yeah) so I did have visual for a little bit, but then it only went to auditory. After hearing the case, and just before I was going to make my decision, the dream broke down. (This is a bit annoying, but I still have a lot of progress. I don't know how, though.) Used a WBTB-WILD attempt with apple juice, cheese, and chocolate. BT: 9:30, WBTB: 12:30 (3 Hrs.) Learned how to mow the lawn yesterday (I predict much exhaustion in the near future) and had a pretty stress-less day. I hope this pattern continues.

Also, after waking up, I decided to just think about one of those random big questions I come up with. What happened next is that I got a visualization in 3rd person of a sail plane flying. I also had some tactile sensations of flying, but I could still feel the bed. Detail was very fuzzy, and did not have a lot of range. (i.e. I could not see the ground very well)

Could not remember anything. BT: 2:00, no WBTB I had a project that was due today, and I could not decide on the 2 last aspects of it. I also had a late-night lecture about an important troop position that I might be elected to. I ended up not getting to bed at any sort of reasonable time.

I am thinking I am in a dry spell. I only had 3 LD's in January, and here we are in June, with nothing to show for. School is out, so I have a lot of time to do just about anything I need for an LD. Any suggestions from the 2 or 3 people that actually read this thread would be appreciated. (damn it Del, UPDATE ONCE IN A WHILE!)

I saw your thread in Attaining Lucidity so immediately searched for your DJ.

From my experience I believe a correct diagnosis of what's happening is you need to write in your DJ more. It looks like you've become lucid a without it a couple times but I thin it would help. In your thread it was sort of vague about recall from what I read, so maybe if you have had dreams that you can remember write them down too if not here then on a physical journal. I went through a short phase that started about a month ago and then I started skipping writing the little things i did remember down. I then was determined to write every little picture that I could remember down until I built it back up to where I am now. Not full power but not bad. I hope this helps at least in the tiniest bit. If you have good recall then this might have been all for naught.

Haven't posted in awhile, but I have a huge amount of progress. Semi-LD: I was solving a complex factoring problem, which required a lot of logic. Somehow, I gained consciousness within all the numbers. I really can't call it an LD, though. I really didn't feel like I had control at all. I hope I can keep the momentum this gave me.

Interesting synchro: in July I went to jail for graffiti. The company that my lawyer works with has Blind Justice as a logo.

Wow! Most people can't see numbers or words clearly in dreams, much less do math. That's awesome. I have heard of people solving all kinds of problems in dreams.

What does your username mean, by the way? Are you an Eagle Scout? You can join the Coast Guard as an E-3! (But, you probably already knew that)

A sail plane is basically an airplane that is very light and aerodynamic, so it can glide on the order of hundreds of miles. Usually white, and has absolutely no forward power other than gravity. You may know it as a glider.

I didn't have any recall last night, but I had some interesting stuff happen during school. It was 3rd period, a study hall, and I had nothing to do. I decided to catch up on some sleep. I screwed around with some SP for awhile, when I got a sharp visualization. It was a computer screen with a silouette (sp) of someone. I was looking over their right shoulder, noticing that there was a lot of text moving quickly on screen. This faded to move over to their left shoulder. I asked "who are you?" Only then did this person notice me. As they turned toward me, I found that they weren't human, but an animal of some sort due to the muzzle. (I couldn't tell if it was reptilian or mammalian in nature, though) They quickly turned back to the screen, changed a few things, and I lost the visual. Efforts to get it back were futile. This seems like a good sign, because I got this without using a lot of time. We'll see how this continues...

Haven't had any full dreams to report, but I have been having some weird stuff going on when I have free time in class. There are several instances where I have seen full-color, clear visuals of various scenes. These I have tried to expand to full view, but I lose them if I do. I have also had a lot of faces pop up out of sharper patterns. These usually get really close to me, and the majority of them are not human. Today I had a bit of a story line going.
I've also been having some crazy "what the heck was that!?! moments where I can swear I saw something in peripheral vision, but isn't there. This happens only a tiny bit, and it doesn't affect anything. I'm not too worried about it. Will update for any developments.

Had some interesting happenings with visualizations. I have had a couple of 3-D visuals that move, all in crimson red. Other than that, I have little to show. Will continue trying.

Getting better at this stuff, but still can't seem to get an LD. Today, however, I had some fun during a study hall that I had nothing to do in. Basically, I had a tactile dream. No visuals, no sound, only touch. Thing is, it only occurred on my left torso. (arm and spine inclusive) I played around with phantom touch, (reptilian tail, anyone?) and my right side was numb, but I could still follow conversation in the room. I'll try using the techniques I used in class during the night, to see what I can do without a time limit or distractions. Things are looking better. Oh, almost forgot, I've been getting into an "artsy" mood lately, and I have never been known for any art skills. So far, my line art is looking pretty good. (heck, I might just post it here, for S&G's) Will post for any developments or successes.

SO CLOSE!!!! I tried a new technique last night and it works beautifully. I had the best SP and HI I've had in a LONG time. At its height, I even had movement from humanoid figures, but I can't call it an LD quite yet. I can't wait to try this again. I might actually break this dry spell once and for all!

Well, I tried last night, but it didn't work as I planned. However, I did have some SP progress when I did have the new technique going. I'll reveal it in another thread at a later time, when I know it works. The basis of it is to distract the mind, but it's by no means monotonous. It takes preparation, and it'll seem weird with what has to be done to start, but it's what has worked best for me than anything I've tried over the past year. I'll see what comes to pass tonight. After seeing Avatar again, I think there is a good chance of some action occurring.

SUCCESS! sort of.
I was using the technique that I came up with and I got a very good result for the circumstances. I was performing the technique, and was reaching SP and HI faster than ever before. I then started hearing an ambulance siren passing by with my dream body. When the visuals developed, it was like an ultra-fast-forward of the day, including activities and conversations that I normally wouldn't have remembered. The majority of the information was 'deleted'. This doesn't surprise me, due to the fact that this dream was in the first sleep cycle. Anyway, most of the time I could recognize what was going on, but most of it I have little, if any, recollection of. I do remember having the siren coming and going, complete with doppler effect. I am really happy with these results. If I do a WBTB with the new technique, chances are I'll FINALLY get an LD that I can work with.

I JUST came out of an LD. It happened about 9:45 EST. O.o I woke up, and being the weekend, having plenty of time to sleep in, did just that. ^-^ It took a long time for anything to happen, but once SP started, it went FAST. I think SP took but a few seconds and I was already in a LD. I was in some ancient city (Egypt?) wandering around looking at the wonders. I entered one building, that looked like a museum inside. I knew this was a dream because everything was very dark and static-y. Anyway, at some point, I grabbed a muffin (or something like that) a took a bite. There were chocolate chips inside, and I could taste and feel their texture. Things started to break down at that point, and I decided to try floating. I reached a room with a high ceiling, and jumped, trying to stay in the air. It didn't work. Gravity was exactly as it was in reality, and I hit the ground. Then all the tingling of my arms got to me and I woke up. Still, I'm really happy about this. I wonder where some chocolate is, I'm craving some...

I haven't had consistency in a while. I just finished a musical (On the Town. The music is still running in my head constantly.) just in time for AP hell week. I have THE test on Friday, so once this week finishes, I should have plenty of time to relax. (and work on a story that just might turn into a novel. ^_^) With the day as screwed up as it was, there was no way to get into the groove again. Homework and hours on end not being able to move more than 5 feet, with a task that could not be ignored for more than a few seconds do not mix at all. Welcome to sound tech.

I JUST came out of my best one yet. I started off with just going to bed, then a nap in the morning. (slept all night then fell asleep again.) First details were kind of fuzzy, but I was in some sort of resort that had a tropical theme. A large stone playground was before me, and I thought one part of it was a disguised slide. It turned out to be just a ramp with water running down it. I turned around, and a small gorilla with its tender approached. Some exchanges later without words, and I was led down the ramp by the gorilla, who seemed to be kind of friendly. I ended up in a flat playground, where I spent some time messing around. (I'm kicking myself for not getting this sooner.) Anyway, Somehow I ended up at home, in the living room. The whole family was there, talking about a subject that actually made sense. Not sure what it was now, but that is not really important. I suddenly felt like something was of, and did a nose RC. It was a full LD at that point. I was surprised to see how close to reality everything was. Textures, layout, lighting, everything was exact. Telling this to the family DC's, they looked at me weird, my older sister in particular, so I tried the RC again. It still worked, though in reality my nose was a little stuffed up. Made figuring out if it was an LD or not a little difficult. Anyway, I took a look around, taking in the detail. Some large areas started to get a big, dark red shadow, so I knew I had to work to keep this going. Focusing on dream details that did not get taken by the shadow forced it to retreat and let me continue, at least for a while. I felt the urge to use the restroom, but I decided against it. (that would have been embarrassing) Returning to the family room, the DC's left. I was alone to try one of my goals: shapeshifting. I stupidly closed my eyes to concentrate on the change, and I got some real tactile progress, though it was mostly a tingling feeling. I only got that far before the transfer to reality happened, which I did not feel. I was back in my bed, fully awake, and immediately came downstairs to write this.

I don't think I can call the shapeshift, but I can firmly say that this LD was one of the best ever. Reality was matched perfectly. Sound, textures, light levels, character design, EVERYTHING. I am thoroughly amazed at the detail that was used, and I keep a high mind of the human brain. Consider me stunned and overjoyed.
