      Success at last!

FIRST LUCID I REMEMBERED IN OVER A YEAR!!!!!!!!!

Whether it was a WILD, DEILD, DILD, or whatever I have no clue, but it worked! I was running from the cops in an airport with some people I didn't know. Suddenly, when I stepped out the back door, I was conscious of both my dream and physical bodies. It was amazing! It was as if I was forming a dream, as in a WILD. It was very unstable, and for a little I thought I'd lose it. When I ran, I'd feel my legs twitch, wanting to move. I dove into the river to hide, and my arms experienced the same phenomenon. The dream stabilized, and the cops came out looking for me... and I completely forgot I was dreaming.

BUT! When they came out, I ducked underwater to hide... and realized I was breathing! I wasn't totally, straight-thinkingly lucid, as I would rather have been. If I was, I'd complete one of my dream goals, such as creating some kind of jumping-off point for all my dreams to start in. (I think if I start in the same place every time I have a dream, I'd be able to recognize the fact that I was in a dream. Don't know if I'd always start there, but why not try?) And, of course, I'd lock on to Nomad or Raven's position with my mind, if I were thinking straight! But I did have partial access to my normal set of dream powers.

Underwater, I had sunk down to some kind of cliff that I could stand on. Some kind of witch showed up in front of me. She tried to use some kind of telekinesis on me, but I was able to block her use of the attack with my mind.

I somehow defeated the witch by using telekinesis, which was harder for me than usual. Somehow I was teleported to my high school's cafetorium, where I was sitting with some of my friends.

"Hey, Chris," I called to my friend at my left. "You're dreaming!" Of course, he didn't believe me, so I tried to make a small fireball in my hand. It didn't come to me as naturally as it would if I were fully lucid, but I was able to produce a small globe of somewhat realistic looking fire. He seemed impressed. For whatever reason, I felt he needed more convincing, so I tried to turn the table to marshmellow. I'd obviously never done this before, and I was barely able to use the tools I was accustomed to. But, due to the dazed state I was in, I felt I could- I tried, and failed. Oh, well.

A staff member walked over to me. "What's going on here?" she asked, arms crossed.

"Yo, bitch! You're dreaming!" I tried to make the fireball again, but I couldn't focus. She gave me a "serious disapproving look" and walked away.

I then flew up to the stage (with extreme ease, since I always fly whenever I'm lucid and am accustomed to the feeling). I grabbed the microphone and shouted "Hey! You're all dreaming!" People stared at me blankly for a few seconds, until I started doing aerial flips above them. My dream faded out, leaving me with a priceless image of their gaping mouthes.

Remembered a strange fragment about being in a very pricey-looking indoor pool. Everything was marble. For whatever reason I had my contacts in, and when I dove I felt the chlorine burn. I hopped out, took them out, and dove back in. Suddenly, someone jumped in fully clothed and started fighting with me over some girl.

Recalled a short, intense fragment. In a strange house I'd never seen before, though I perceived it to be mine. Someone came into it with a knife. I grabbed mine from my dresser, and when he passed my room, I lunged at him. Can't remember what happened after that.

Though I've had many dreams over the past few weeks, didn't have the time to post them. However, something rather important happened last night...

      I GOT LUCID!!!!!!!!!!!!

And not just another DILD! I actually pulled off a WILD!

I was partially awake when I heard hallucinations. I perceived them to be Raven and Nomad (though I'm sure it was just my subsonscious's way of reminding me that I could pull a WILD in my current state). They were talking to each other about how they felt the vibrations; the one I perceived as Nomad reffered to leaving the vibrations and becoming lucid as "getting shocked". I decided to try inducing the vibrations, as I normally don't feel them unless I think about them. A few seconds later, I could feel a faint tingling sensation throughout my body. I attempted to lift myself out of my body. Starting at my feet, I could feel the vibrations become stronger at the body part I was trying to lift. I pulled my dream body out up to my waist, where I lost my concentration for a few moments and became... well... stuck. I focused my thoughts again, and was ecstatic when I felt the rest of my torso lift out of my body! The dream was very vivid... almost too vivid. Everything seemed surreal. I flew around my room for a bit, and was going to try some dream spinning when I sensed something at my door.

I was rudely awakened by my sister.

After a restless night of trying to replicate what I did the night before (11:00 to 1:00 ), I woke with a small fragment of me being arrested. That's all, though.

      Cats and Furry-ous
Very strange dream. Set in modern times, I recall losing my chariot, powered by CATS (yes, the furry house pets), though I couldn't remember anything else before that. I was walking across a bridge. I saw a lady with a black and red striped cart, with two cats- one colored red, one blue -strapped to it.
"Hey, can I use that?" I asked her as I approached.
"Sure! I've got two more cats, Lucy and Lulu. But they don't give a shit. They just sleep the whole time." She pointed to a corner of the chariot's seat.
      "Umm... ok! Thanks!"

I sped off in the chariot. It was actually quite fun to ride.

Got very semi-lucid this morning. I was able to drastically enhance the vividity of the dream, to the point where it felt exactly like real life. I was at a mall restaurant with a friend... and I lost what tiny lucidity I had, along with the rest of the dream's memory. -.- Distracted by a shiny object or something, I'm sure.

Unbelievable! Haven't remembered a single dream since my last post. This morning I recalled a very epic, long chain of dreams that I knew I wouldn't want to forget... Yet, I fell asleep again. Just my fucking luck.

Finally, I remembered a dream last night! I had a particularly vivid dream; it felt, looked, sounded, etc. very real. I was going skiing with a friend. I apparently forgot my wallet at home. I asked to borrow thirty bucks. He gave me the money and I walked through the gate to ski rental.

Realized that I'm getting in the habit of remembering (with great detail) my dreams when I wake up, but another half an hour of sleep is more important to me than writing them down.

The first dream, if it can be called that, was about... pants. Yes. Pants. I was lying in bed half-awake (I had already woken, but made the terrible mistake of letting my head hit the pillow again), and I assume I was about to go into a dream. All I saw in my mind's eye was a white background and my blue, flannel pants that I was wearing. I was woken up by my alarm.

Secondly, I remembered a very vivid, very epic dream as soon as I woke up the second time. But sometime between getting up, eating, and showering, I lost it. I have reason to believe it was an Oblivion-inspired dream, since I have had spare time the past few days and have been playing it. I also remember miniscule fragments- not even images, but emotions or sounds -that make it seem like a medieval scenario. Also, when I think about the dream, the memory seems like it's barred by an image of a battle axe in the game.

Don't even remember getting up to turn my alarm off this morning, just my sister screaming at me to get up half an hour late. No surprise that I don't even have a fragment.

      Yao Guai Hunting
Can't believe I'm up THIS FUCKING EARLY. My eyes are still blurry and drooping, but I can still remember a rather epic dream I had. It has quite a few memory gaps, but they aren't relevant to the storyline, so here goes...

I was in a ghost town with my father. We were following a trail to a hunting site, and we came to a stop at this little town. I can't remember what happened next, but the next part of the dream picks up at a river. Apparently, a landslide had taken place, and had dammed part of the river. We decided to help the folks.

Again, my memory lapses, but I can remember using all of my strength to roll a piece of land out of the river. The sheriff and his female assistant (who was quite hot ) told me there was no way I'd get out of the town in the next week, at the rate they were going. I was determined to prove them wrong. I could've sworn I heard the Rocky theme playing in my head as I rolled all of the pieces out of the river. I know they were only DC's, but the look on their faces still makes me laugh.

We went down the trail. My father and I were dumping some items (apparently illegally, because we made sure to hurry out really quick ) in a large garbage heap for the town. It looked like three, multi-colored sleeping bags, a coat of some kind, and an oversized hat. Not so sure what was so bad about that, but it was a dream. Anyway, we continued down the trail for quite some time. I'm sure I had quite a few lapses here, because after a while it got a little boring. We saw a few wildlife creatures along the way. One that sticks out in my mind were the 'black bats' my father pointed out. They had their heads buried in the mud, apparently looking for food. Indeed, they did look like bats... or, at least their backs did. I stomped my foot a few times, and one's head popped out.

It looked quite a bit like the second bird down in the first column, but its body was gray and brown (maybe from the mud), and its head had a highlight of red around the eyes.

A short while after I saw the "bats", a clearing opened up in the trees to the right of us. There were at least a dozen white creatures my father told me were Yao Guai. Now, these looked nothing like the Yao Guai I know and love. They were something like very skinny polar bears, and very agile. They moved more like monkeys than bears. They looked like they were fighting. My father pointed out that they built up static electricity in their coats by having those little duels, which they used as a weapon. (This was starting to sound reminiscent of a Pokemon game to me.) As we came closer, they seemed to become more wary of our presence, and started staring at us. My bow, which I had been carrying with me the whole time, appeared in a corner. And as if that wasn't enough of a clue that this was a DREAM, as soon as I thought of my bamboo spear I keep next to my bed, it appeared down the path! -.- I wondered if an arrow would be enough to take down those beasts. As I went to get my spear, everything faded to white and I woke up.

Haha, well actually, the Yao Guai isn't from MY dreams. It's a mutated bear from the game Fallout 3. Although, my Yao Guai were nothing like those from the game.

Also, part of the reason my memory was so great is the fact that I actually woke up right after the dream ended. My recall is usually great, but to remember it later, I have to haul my lazy ass outta bed. I'm not a big fan of that.

      Failed Attempt

Walking out of my school into the parking lot, I sudden questioned whether I was in a dream or not. There weren't any signals, nothing was wrong; I just sensed that I was in a dream. (I've been getting good at that.) I decided to do the easiest RC I knew; fly. However, I didn't fly the traditional way I'm accustomed to; I normally just float a little off the ground, standing up, and sort of propel myself forward with this kind of wave energy really fast. I tried to make the classic Superman leap, and I fell flat on my face. I've been noticing I'm in a dream a lot lately, but my RCs fail.

Anyway, the dream skipped a little. I remember getting into a black truck with my two friends, Megan and Michelle, and driving to a party. The trip there was lost to me, but I remember getting out of the truck.

"I hope that Keith Boyd is here," Megan said. (She's known to be on the sluttier side of my female friends.) "He's really hot."
"Umm... you mean Keith Boyd Jr.?" I said. I recognized that name from somewhere... "I think his father is my mom's old ex." (Keith Boyd is actually my mother's stock broker. ) "Does he live in Middlesex County?"
      "I think he does."

We knocked on the door... and the dream faded to white as I woke.

This dream was immensely long. I kept reinserting myself into it. I reentered it at least three or four times. I can hardly remember the beginning of the dream, but I'm sure it was a WILD.

      Green- semi-lucid
      Red- non-lucid
      Blue- lucid

As my surroundings settled around me, I noticed that I was in a medieval sort of village. It reminded me of Hogwarts. I was lost for a moment in the elaborate details of it. I wandered inside one of the wooden buildings and went upstairs. There was an Oblivion-style bedroom, with two beds, chests, and crates all over.

When my sister came back upstairs, I regained some control. I started teasing her and calling her a witch, for whatever reason. It took me a little to get going, but I was able to get my old flying technique back. I tackled her midair, picked her up, twirled her around, and set her back down.

This dream was starting to bore me. I was suddenly in a very destructive mood. I wanted to see some action! I might as well put one of my few lucids to some good use. I flew out the nearest window, did an elaborate spin-flip, and spiraled upwards to the ceiling (yes, there was a ceiling on the village. Now it was starting to remind me of a mall. ). I closed my eyes and focused on going to a happy place (that I could destroy).

WARNING: I go all ADD in the next paragraph. You might wanna skip to the next one.
I ended up in something like a meadow, with a long path and several strange mushroom looking things all over the place.I must've lost my lucidity looking at the environment too long, and I can't remember what happened next.Eventually, a strange creature came over to me, and his presence reminded me that I was in a dream. The dream recall is fuzzy here, but the next thing I remembered was great.

I was doing some more acrobatics when I started thinking of what to do with my time. I was ecstatic when I remembered Raven and Nomad on the moon! I decided to try my "energy magnet" technique I'd been theorizing for a while. For this, I would focus on the essence of the place I was looking to go to, and pull myself toward it very quickly. However, I was a little over excited that I remembered the moon base, and I probably shouldn't have closed my eyes. Plus, this technique was very hard to fulfill because my target was the moon, an environment not too familiar to me, and huge at that. I couldn't focus on any one place on the moon in particular, so I just winged it and fired myself off in that direction. But while I was "beaming" myself up, it was very hard to keep the dream with only blackness around me. Within about two seconds of blackness, I very shortly awoke. I was, however, able to plunge myself back into my flight, and slowly the features of the moon began appearing to me as I opened my eyes.

I began to wonder the moonscape and noticed a strange blue rug my side. I turned to see an Indianapolis Colts towel laid out on the ground, and a Colts flag standing tall next to it. A Superbowl party on the moon? And wasn't the Superbowl over already? As I continued on, I noticed a growing number of more and more towels and flags. Some were of teams I had never even heard of. I believe I saw a Wisconsin Sodapops flag being toted by a visitor. LOL! I began to fly, as to reach wherever I was going faster, and the towels and flags grew more numerous until they merged with a massive mob of partiers. I fought my way to the front of the crowd... to be greeted by my eighth grade English teacher?!? This was getting a little wierd for me. I lost the dream once again, but quickly regained it. I was in Mushroom Land again.

My friend was driving down the path, and I felt the need to hide, feeling embarassed that I was there. I dived into the stream right next to the path. The dream was, once again, lost. I managed to get one last reentry out of it.

The last fragment of the dream was a little bit eerie. I remember being in a shining steel town, the sky painted a dark crimson veined with bright red. (Once again, Oblivion reference.) The ground was a dark brown color, with a tiny olivine tint.I was just standing, looking at the buildings in shock. The place felt very evil.

I have to say, lucid dreaming is one of the most enjoyable parts of my life. GO WILDS!!!!!!

Great job, man. I had a dream where I was flying around on a carpet, I think it was the night before last. I was standing on it, in Nomad form, wielding my scimitar. Last night, I dreamt of the magic school. We will meet in dreams very soon. I feel it.

I agree. I'm slowly regaining my skill in lucidity. I've had one or two lucids every month for the last 3 months. Not as much as I had once taken for granted, but a significant improvement! I also feel that we will meet very soon. Raven also had a dream about the magic school last night, and I hardly think of that as a coincidence.

And, though it might just be my subconscious hoping for this to work, I thought I sensed a development of some kind to my left when I was on the moon. I wanted to go to it, but I lost focus when I noticed the football paraphernalia.

Haven't updated in a while. Had SO many dreams over the past week, but haven't had time to post them!

Started two WILDs over the past week. The first one was Sunday night, I believe; as usual, I realized I was in SP, and tried to WILD. I got to the very early stage of a dream. I was underwater in some kind of spherical submarine, when suddenly my arm jerked and I lost the vision. I really have to figure out why this is happening, because lots of my WILDs come to their untimely end in this way.

I forget how far I got in the second WILD, but I remember being in SP. Once again, I twitched and lost the dream.

      Fourth Lucid!

I can sparsely remember this dream, because it was in the middle of my REM cycle. Still, I GOT LUCID!

I was on my driveway looking at a tree when I noticed that things felt a little fuzzy and surreal. I spun in a circle for a second, and after staggering away and falling while trying to go toward the tree, I noticed how enhanced the quality of my senses were. I could feel my feet on the ground, the tree looked like it was in HD, and for once, I felt like I was really "in" the dream, instead of feeling like I was playing a video game as usual. I was thinking of what to do, and while visiting Raven and Nomad on the moon seemed nice, I was anxious about just wandering aimlessly about the moon like I had before. So, I decided to practice my old set of dream powers, which had gotten rusty. I vaguely remember setting a bush on fire, and I tried to open up a portal, a new feat for me. Though I can't recall where I aimed it for (have a feeling it was the moon), a small purple vortex opened up just above the driveway. Sadly, I was experimenting with an easy new way of teleporting I'd found, and when I teleported into the portal, I lost even my recollection of the other dreams I had, let alone my lucidity. I guess my first shared dream will have to wait!

      The Three Pyramids
Don't remember too much about this dream, except that it was FUCKING epic! It was a space-adventure style dream, where my friend and I had to activate three different pyramids located on different planets. The first one I had to activate. It was located in a deep ice cave, filled with huge ice golems. I don't remember much of the fighting, but I remember that their "cores", that they left behind when they died, had to be inserted into different holes in the run-down, shabby pyramid. When I inserted about thirteen or fifteen cores into the pyramid, it morphed into a beautiful, ornate, amazing tower of ice. Pillars rose out of the ground, the crumbled pieces sharpened into points, and it looked amazing.

      A small cutscene occured, with a bird's eye view of the pyramid rising up. Then, I was looking at a star map, similar to this one, from Mass Effect 2;
I selected a planet, and my ship transported us there.

We arrived on an arid, rocky desert planet. The ruined pyramid stood amid a total barren nothingness. This time, it was my friend's turn. He destroyed about a dozen golems, inserted their core energy, and once again, it transformed. As the bird's eye cutscene came into my vision, I realized that this pyramid was even more amazing than the ice one! Several layers formed into it, like massive stairs, and it came to a point at the top.

The top layer was chiseled by the golems' energy to be semi-circular, and several Greek columns with rings at their tops rose out of the top layer.

Two massive rivers opened up, each twice the width of the pyramid (about the size of the Grand Pyramid at Giza) and flowed down from two rows of sand on either side of the pyramid. Plants grew about certain layers of the pyramid. It truly was an amazing sight. The dream faded to white as I awoke.

That last dream sounds like a video game. It must have been a blast. I like how you illustrate your dreams with pictures. It makes them even cooler
