Hard Dream Sign To Do A Reality Check With

Hey guys! This is my first post!! I'm really excited to be able to lucid dream and I've been making a dream journal for about a week now, and literally every dream I've had the house that I grew up in is in it somehow. Sometimes I'll be in a hotel, and I'll walk into one of the rooms and the room will be the living room from my house. I'm never usually at my house, the layouts and rooms are just used in some way. My question is, how can I use a reality check for this particular dream sign? Thanks in advance!

I get this all the time as well. The problem is that since I live in my house I would be doing reality checks if I had to do them every time I went into a new room. If you really don't live in the house, you should look up some old pictures of your house (parties, holidays, barbeques, whatever, just pictures of your house) and do reality checks and really drill them into your head. This seems to be the only way since you aren't living at home and still have to see your house to be able to practice reality checks.

I get dreams a lot where I'm outside. In fact, most of the dreams take place outdoors. But they always end up in my living room.

ok cool, I'll find some pictures. Last night I attempted to sit there and drill in my head before I fell asleep "If I find myself in my old house I will realize I'm dreaming." Unfortunately, I had my first dream since doing a dream journal where my house was not in my dream... figures. What are some good reality checks to practice on using just pictures?

Just do any reality check and do it automatically when you see a picture of your house. Flip through pictures like flash cards and associate reality checks to your pictures.

Dream signs and reality checks are two different approaches to lucid dreaming. Meaning, you don't have to mix them. When it comes to dream signs like that, don't worry about going through all pictures and stuff, that's tedious. Keep drilling the idea into your head. Keep telling yourself and believing what your dream signs are. Resolve not to be fooled again. People worry too much about linking reality checks to their dream sign and sometimes it just makes things harder.
      Lucid dreams, gotta love em.
