      Is this normal? (Dream recall)

Ok, so this has happend to me 3 nights in a row.
I woke in the morning and was upset cos i couldent remeber my dreams, so i went to a friends place. But suddenly like BOOM i remember 2 dreams from the night, and when i was home i wrote them in my DJ

The secound time i also woke and couldent remember them. I was really sad, so i went in the shower, and BOOM again i suddenly remembered 2 of my dreams. I got really exited and wrote them in my DJ

Same this morning. Woke up. Couldent remember my dreams, but 20 min after i woke up, i remember the dream pretty well.

      Is this normal or?

      (Bad english, i know)

I hear it happens quite often to people.

For me, I usually do remember dreams upon awakening quite well, but the memory gets more detailed as time goes by.

Up untill a few weeks ago i remembered them all upon waking but then came down with a dry spell, could hardly remember a thing but as my day went on i would suddenly be struck with a fragment from my dream then more would come, only last night i remembered my dream about 12 hours after i woke lol, so yeah i would say it's pretty normal

yup, this is normal, usually in the morning if you wake up too fast, thinking too hard, etc. it can make you not remember the dreams right away, but maybe a thought pops in your mind that jolts the memory of the dream.

I have this too, actually I had this today. Often it starts with just a feeling during the day when thinking about a thought that triggers something that I seem to have dreamed about. And then it slowly comes back but most of the time only fragments.

All of my recall has been like this. It's because when i wake up, i usually have to move fast and think about my day. Usually after 1 or 2 hours after waking up, i remember my dream. I wake up and think to myself, "Aww man i don't remember my dreams!". Then i remember it and i'm glad. So now i just think about anything, and that triggers my recall. Only time i remember a dream immediately after waking up is when i have a nightmare.
