First Dream Sign Recognized!

I finally recognized a dream sign and became lucid!

I recently downloaded an app for my smart phone that regularly beeps and tells me to reality check. I do the nose pinch check every time.

Last night I had a dream that I was standing near a rail (?). My phone beeped and I did the reality check. When I inhaled successfully, I nearly dropped my phone from amazement (not that it would have mattered....). I realized I was dreaming, but was too excited to continue. This may not sound too incredible to you all, but to me, this means progress.

The name of the app is Sleep Check Reminder. I got it free from the Market thing on my Droid. You can set it to go off randomly throughout the day, or to go off every however many hours you want.

I have been using the app (if that's what you mean) for about a week now. Doing reality checks (if THAT'S what you mean), it's been on and off for about 6 months. I never could stick with it for too long, I would get bored and frustrated with my un-success*. This app helped quite a bit, because I don't have to time it or anything. (I know, I'm lazy.

)

*EDIT: Un-success = failure. I'm an idiot.
