Mapping your dreams' location and logging times

On here, and in Michael Raduga's writings, I've seen folk discuss a technique of making a map to show where each dream was located, with a view to building up a complex map of your dreams' "world". Obviously this is done with a view to becoming lucid more often.

I haven't experimented with it myself yet, and don't know if it's been done, but I was wondering if it could also be beneficial to log the time of day where a dream occurs. The idea in the long term would be to try to make your dreams occur in the evening- or even better, late evening - so that there is more of an association with sleep and retiring to bed. Hopefully this would tip the odds in your favour and make you more likely to remember your goal to remember sleeping, dreaming, and the quest for lucidity.

I've done sone dream mapping with a few places I dream about a lot. They're mostly childhood homes so when I dream of them it's easy to get lucid. The dream maps were mainly helpful to people who followed my dream journal.

This sounds interesting. I've heard of it before, but never really looked into it. It sounds like a cool idea...I might have to try it.

I don't personally note down the time when the dream happens, mainly because when I wake up, I'm so wrecked I don't want to!
Also I don't find that the time affects what happens in my dreams (if there is any correlation I can't see it).
But I like the idea of the maps, although my dream signs are all rather random at the moment!
