On here, and in Michael Raduga's writings, I've seen folk discuss a technique of making a map to show where each dream was located, with a view to building up a complex map of your dreams' "world". Obviously this is done with a view to becoming lucid more often.

I haven't experimented with it myself yet, and don't know if it's been done, but I was wondering if it could also be beneficial to log the time of day where a dream occurs. The idea in the long term would be to try to make your dreams occur in the evening- or even better, late evening - so that there is more of an association with sleep and retiring to bed. Hopefully this would tip the odds in your favour and make you more likely to remember your goal to remember sleeping, dreaming, and the quest for lucidity.
