First actual post (besides my introduction), hey everyone
I tend to have quite a lot of trouble recalling my dreams when I wake up. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper so it seems by the time I wake up naturally I've forgotten my dreams throughout the night, aside from the odd occasion where I can remember.
I have tried setting alarms to wake me up, but always unsure of exactly what the best time to set the alarm for is. I've found, because I'm such a deep sleeper, that a lot of the time my alarm will go off and I will wake up, turn it off and go back to sleep, with no recollection of doing this. Even when the alarm was the other side of the room. This especially happens if I try to set my alarm too early to wake up after each dream period.
That's not to say I can't remember any dreams though, I've been writing in my dream journal for a week now and been able to get at least one dream per day, but a lot of these entries have been from using the WBTB technique, though, this can be inconvenient because I've found I can sleep through beyond the time I need to wake up.
I was wondering if anyone had any advice for helping with this?
