      Sudden spike in recall

      After a period of little dream recall, I suddenly remembered 4 fairly vivid dreams in one night. During the day, I had gone through an extremely stressful breakup.

      Has anyone else ever experienced this sudden spike? Could it somehow be related to the stress I felt during the day?

      I experience this as well. I think it may have something to do with emotional states. I seem to get depressed towards the end of the month and have poor recall during that time.

      Quite possible, many things affect recall and it's not uncommon to have sudden changes to it, congrats on recalling vivid dreams though.
