      A recall phenomenon that I experience

      It seems like whenever I sleep away from my usual bed, such as at a friend or relative's house, I can recall my dreams way more than if I slept at home in my bed. Does this occur to any of you? Why?

      It's because sleeping in a new environment makes you more alert and this translates in you, subconsciously being more alert in dreams and thus you remember them better.

      I really recognise this phenomenon. Whenever I am nervous, in another bed or ill I sleep more lightly and consequently remember more dreams. I do not know whether it is because of the better recall, but my dreams seem more vivid as well.

      I often notice this too. It is listed in some threads as a way to increase recall. It leads to lucidity pretty well too. I know that Ophelia sleeps on her couch to increase chances to DILD and WILD. Any time I sleep in a hotel room I have gotten lucid, though lately it doesn't seem to make me more aware, I just get the lucids that I usually get.
