      Dreamsigns that worked for you

      Short:
It would be interesting to hear about dreamsigns that actually induced a LD in your sleep. I don't want to hear about potential dreamsigns = signs that often occur in your dreams but have not induced an LD yet.

      Further (skip if too long):
Why am i asking this? Because i believe that reading about successful dreamsigns can make this sign work in my own dream, too.
The sign below with the person younger than normal was something that i read about, that's why i am curious to hear others' signs.
I'll post mine, it only happened 2 times. So far i mostly had success with MILD/WBTB but not dreamsigns.

Note: 1x means how many times this sign has induced a LD.
      ==============================================
      - I see a person that is younger than it should be (1x)
      - A situation feels familiar. I wonder if it really happened before or if it was in a dream. (1x)

I've had a ton of Ld's so i'll just name my most common recognizable signs. all of them have happened countless times.

      -Back in highschool (graduated already)
      -Teeth fall out
-recurring dream and I just remember having it before.
      -At my old house
      -With old friends
-get shot but dont feel it/ other painful events
-Dream is about an event I know is upcoming and hasnt happened yet
      - Saw peter griffen from family guy, in person - 1x ... that was hilarious.

      Hey there,

Lets see, my most common dreamsigns:

      - Anything that threatens, scares or frustratrates me in dreams is pretty much a garantue to get me lucid

      - Lightswitches not working: pretty much a sure thing too.

      - Teeth falling out

      - Being in a house I used to live in: This one depends on the house. I've lived in many. Some of them are sure to make me lucid, some of them I never manage to catch

      - Grotesquely big insects: Yup, dreaming

Those are the most common, I think. I have many many more but the list of the ones I fail to catch is far greater then the ones that have made me lucid in the past.

      - Looking from a different perspective than my own eyes. That one, I experienced many times. Also works well as a RC.
      - Toilets not working. This also happens frequently, but I wake up shortly after, then.
      - Fear without an apparent reason. This happend to me only once, though.

My one and only LD to date was induced, from what I can gather, by asking my mate to pinch me and by not feeling pain I knew I was dreaming
First LD: The morning of Sunday 16/09/07
      LD's to date: 1

Not sure what else to put in my sig..
Although I'm quite fond of this guy --->

      For me the following:

Girls - they always induce lucid dreams for me.
War - I have a lot of dreams going to war, and get lucid from them.

It's hard to think of any more which are regular enough.

Fish. I pay real close attention to my fish in real life. They are my babies, my experiments, my pride and joy... Kinda. Anyway, I dream about them a lot. In waking life, I RC whenever I see something odd in the tank (newborns, a death, an injury, a wierd color mutation, odd sizing, odd behavior). It has induced lucidity a handful of times.

Two nights ago I had my first Lucid dream (WBTB+DILD) and the dreamsign that made me realize that I was dreaming was that my Plecostomus was sitting ontop of another Plecostomus (I only have one) which was 3 feet long and about a foot tall. But I got too excited and woke up a few seconds later.

I once became lucid when I saw I had seven fingers on one hand.

Another one is being late for school or not having my homework.

Also when big scary creatures come after me.

When I was little (before I even knew about LDing) I would often become lucid because my stuffed animals had come to life. (At first I would be like, "Awesome! I always knew you were alive!" But then, "Oh... it's just a dream...")

-my mentally challenged brother is BRILLIANT in my dreams (it surprises me all the time)
-crying (I don't cry in my everyday life, but I cry in dreams)

The only one I can seeem to remember is dead realitives alive again.

I've been lucid on other occasions but I'm not sure what triggered it.
Crazy, but that's how it goes!

I have a quite a number of successful dreamsigns at this point. I'll post them from most-likely to succeed to least. All of these have worked at least once.

      Trouble reading/writing
      Trouble making emergency phone call
      Lightswitch not working
      Bad brakes in car
      Childhood home
      Trouble finding parked car
Teeth falling out (yup, me too!)
      Family members stubborn and uncaring
      Strange animals

New one: just the other night, I became lucid because I saw a tornado. (Which is one of my common dreamsigns.) I thought it was real, but since it was a dreamsign I did an RC just for the heck of it, and discovered that I WAS dreaming.

I'll second the childhood home one.

My last DILD was due to that. Sadly, one of my friends popped the soccer ball we were kicking around, and that apparently flustered me enough to make me wake up

I only have two that have defiantly worked for me.

one was trees. I know weird but I whenever I looked at them in my dreams they look so detailed and more realistic then waking life for some reason. Whenever I see a tree in my dream it just seems unnaturally beautiful.

Another one which was already mentioned was being in an dream you've been in before.

-Random friends, in my Ld's it's always me having 2 or 3 people hanging out with me. I happen to know their names, and I act as if they're my best friends. And in real life, I am the "Funny-guy" at my school. So whenever in conversations, I think back to past experiences for some witty comment or story. i though back during a convrsation with them, and I though about my real life. Then I realized i had actually no idea who these people were. And BAM! Hey, I'm in a dream!
Jen was 13 years old. A fairly normal girl. She spent a lot of time online.
One day, she made a new friend. He liked the same bands, worried about the same subjects.
They decided to meet at the local mall. She went. So did he.
Only he wasn't in junior high.
HE WAS A 1500 LB GRIZZLY BEAR.
1 in 5 children online get eaten by wild bears. And you didn't even know bears could type.

I've had only 2 lucid dreams, both DILD's. In first one, it just randomly popped in to my head that I'm dreaming. In the other one that I had last night, I recognized my cat as a dream sign and became lucid. My cat's dead in real life.

A little late on this reply, sorry...

Just a couple of days ago I dreamed of my teeth falling out,
this had happended only twice before in my life (as far as I can remember)
but since it seems to be very common DS among people I always thought
that I would definetely recognize this typical DS.
But I didn't because my gums were bleeding before which
made my reality check ("are my teeth falling out SPONTANEOUSLY?") not work.
Next time I going to make one more RC to be sure.

Anyway my other dreamsigns that I share with some of you are:
back to highscool, especially writing tests/ graduation exam
seeing dead people, mostly from my time I worked in a hospital, 10yrs ago.
being in old places I used to live
meeting celebrities... yep I just met the pope btw. (I am atheist)

      my more personal DS are:
Zombies, and they are just as ugly as from the movie "the evil dead", yuk!
But next time I see them I'm going to ask them why they appear and what they want.

All kind of wild animals, Lions, dogs, gorillas...

Tsunami, a DS that works pretty good to induce LD, the wave is huuuuuuge
but never scares my, it's kind of cosy like a blanket and has a wonderful
      blue color.

taekwondo turnament which usually wakes me up because one of my leg jerks eventually.. some people practise their sport when LDing, wish I could do that..

I havent posted here in forever...
I think these have already been said but not being able to read and realizing that I've had the same dream before.
Also a lot of times I am in a random house that I've never been in and sometimes my DC's are random people I don't know and have never seen but I act like I've known them.

      my dreamsigns are mostly

-being in school, taking a class i dont have.
-watching my dream happen through a window, hard to explain
-my foot being chained to a wall (think Saw 1)
      -everybody wearing red clothing

those are my huge ones, a little obscure, but they are my personal dream signs
