Thread: Your Common Dream Themes

I can only think of one that's very common, which is when I'm on a subway train or in a subway station, or entering one. I'm trying to use various elements of subways and stations as dream signs, but so far, both awake and asleep I always forget to use dream checks.

My most common dream theme would have to be the ever so interesting world of psychedelllia!!!!!!

When I pleasure lucid dream I ask my friends to come up with the craziest shit I can think of, write it day and put the message under my pillow.

Two weeks ago when I had a pleasure lucid dream me, Yu Yu Hakusho, Eminem, and Obie Trice teamed up to take on a super powered ja rule at his castle with minions such as Ashante and Urve Gatte.

LOL, fun times.

But yeah, when it comes to recall I use to do all my recall scripts while I'm dreaming and not while I'm awake.

Roads. I'm always discovering new roads near my house. Hidden roads and interstates that I never noticed in all my life. Once I get on them, they are really pretty and neat. Hidden rooms and places are a common theme too. I also purposely piss off family members for no apparent reason too in dreams, like last night. I also found several beautiful scenic roads in SC too. This is a reoccurring theme.

My dreams are normally at home or at school and typically include various events (usually strange) which I'm stuck in the middle of .

I often find new rooms from our house or from my friends apartments. I have a feeling that it has something to doo with me hoping for somekind of change to my life and allso I'd need some peace and calming. In a dream when I find a new room from our house I think "I will not tell the others so I can spend time all by my own here".

And I cry with people who never cry (atleast not when I'm seeing). Maybe I'd hope to get closer to them. And as in real life crying cleans the atmosphere.

I'm not sure if this really is a dreamsign but in 2/3 of the dreams I remember I see post-apocalyptic landscapes and I wander around in them some goal in front of my eyes.
I just don't get it how to perform the right RCs for that. Any ideas?
Maybe I should ruin the atmospehere, throw bombs on cities, burn woods, spent money on disturbing my fellow men (http://messengers2.com/articles/disabiliti...oy_humanity.htm) and than always perform an RC ?

my entire life i have had dreams of being pursued in strange environments, generally indoors. I tend to return to these environments fairly frequently too. For example, last night i dreamt of being in a series of apartments that had no distinct ends: one kitchen could've been part of two adjacent apartments. The stairs occurred in random places, making the entire place a giant tower of a maze made of living quarters. Near the end of the dream, I returned to an outdoor garden arround a museum that I have visited over and over.

These are difficult to use as dream signs, as the places look quite mundane and their familiarity adds to a sense of normality. I suppose I could use the feeling of being followed as a dreamsign...

a dream sign of mine is screaming. People violently screaming in the backround or at each other.

another is people being really nice to me. like i'm a rockstar or something.

Girls going crazy for me is another thing that occurs often and only in my dreams. HAHA

umm.. let's see... my dream signs would be... video games. i fairly often have a dream where i'm actually in whatever game. sometimes it's the exact game, but usually it's like a combination of two or more games.. it's pretty fun. I've been trying to use these as dream-signs. but so far all the situations have been too absurd for me to manage it. (How often are you flying a Cessna, wearing space-marine armour, carrying a big flag, and having people shooting at you all at the same time?!?!?)

with one ongoing dream, i have so many dream signs!!
Well, it's in japan, but for whatever reason they all speak english. There's a lot of killing. I'm always using a sword.
Lately, (i will admit on occaision i see anime characters and stuff like that. I guess i should since i dream in animation...) i've been seeing a lot of Kurama and Hiei. (although i'm not sure how you'd translate that)
I'm seeing a lot more in first person view (Thank god. always seeing thrid person was so boring, and so much less fun when fighting)
my dreams have taken on a soundtrack... i hear a lot of good charlotte (hence the GC) and bowling for soup.
and i'm seeing lots of stars in my dreams.

does this mean; you're a very quiet person who should show some signs of feelinds towards other people other than indifference or worse, or you should let yourself get andgry for once in front of other people, or they'll never know they're ticking you off?
because either of those would be great advice for me. (how weird. i just gave myself advice)

my most common signs of late have been feelings of frustration, finding myself in seemingly impossible situations, like stuck on top of buildings, or trapped somewhere.
also i've had recurring themes of violence and murder, as well as sex!
just lately i find that the clearest sign i am getting is that of being in another landscape.
in a dream i had the other night i began in my home town at the bank, turned around, and i was in what appeared to be the emerald city!
i was cursing when i woke up, because if i'd remembered to question it, i think i could have had a fine old time!

Moving to a new apartment, or living in another apartment, or having my apartment strangely modified.

Also a lot of dreams involving computer games and school, also dreams that include my friends.

Well I've been keeping a journal for about a week now, and there seems to be two major themes. Chatting on msn and writing, either to people or poems and stories. Writing is something I'm really interested in, and hope to have a carrer in when I get older, so it makes sense I guess!

Well, many times I'm in my birthday and everybody is around me , sometimes it's a party, or other activity. It happens 1 or 2 times per week.

I think it can be narrowed down to 2. Very often, I have a dream that involves wild automobile behavior, like a chase or a race. The other one deals with guns, I very often use guns,[/b]

I'm a gun enthusiast myself and nearly half of my dreams involve some level of gunplay...but what is most frustrating is that in nearly all of these dreams my gun never works or there is no ammo to be found anywhere.

Sex is also a very common theme in my dreams and one of my dream signs is when there is more than one other person involved.

Also, I can never seem to find my car in my dreams...I sometimes spend my entire dream looking for it and when I do find it, it's either out of gas or has a flat.

For me, it's spiral staircases, or towers, or tall buildings, or trees-- something that I have to climb to the top of-- that keep recurring in my dreams. Another one is random things being upside down. like a house, or a teacup.

my common ones are

running through my school halls (sometimes my house) till i get to my locker (school is dark and empty) then a girl says hide, then i turn around and get killed.

another is falling on an ice field and seeing myself in the ice, when i look at my face my body gets cold really fast till i black out.

my favorite was when i was a kid and riding a bike down a hill near my house with a really shallow turn on it, it was my first nightmare regardless of tornadoes which i found facinating at the time. I was going fast and i tryed to turn with this shallow right turn, instead my bars wont move regardless of how hard i tryed, i fell in the ditch which seemed like a huge canyon till i hit the bottom and woke up (kind of like you do in class when you nod off untill you finaly grab 5 minutes of sleep then shoot your head up really fast because you become aware that you're acctualy in your classroom, followed by chills down your spine). Anyways i finaly dreamed i was in the same situation and i turned my bike =p it was badass then i went inside my house, the dream slowed down after that (like it took a few hours just to open the door and walk in.) Then i woke up, my dreams ussualy suck like that... bummer, longest dream i can remember must have taken only 10 minutes if you compared it to real life.

I'm usually at school, or at a friend's house. I usually don't become lucid in these dreams though.

My common dream themes: Being back in high school, Torture, Murder, Confrontation, strong emotions certain houses. Umm yeah pretty much anything horrifying, so if I wanna become lucid I have to face my fears most of the time :/

my common dream themes are: being at the shopping mall in the town where I live or at my old school or at some kind of subway station or trainstation that doesn't exist in real-life and getting lost there, taking wrong trains, walking on the rails and avoiding oncoming trains I love those dreams, no matter what happens, they are so familiar!!
