      Crappy Dream Recall Lately!

Hey everyone. I've not been able to remember any dreams in 6 days STRAIGHT! It's really aggravating. I've tried staying still, trying to remember what I did last, etc. I've not been able to remember any. Does any one know why this happens? Will my dream recall grow overtime?

Try relaxing heaps before going to sleep. It works really well for me.

Oh, I hate it when I can't remember dreams. Even one night is upsetting to me, because it could mean I missed a lucid dream.
Sol's advice is helpful, as well as trying to remember your dreams before even getting up out of bed. Keeping your eyes closed, just try seeing if you can recall something.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

What do you do before you sleep to help your recall? Do you repeat any mantras or something? Thats what I do, I repeat "I will remember my dreams tonight." out loud for a bit then as im falling asleep I do it in my head. Im also recording my dreams on my phone rather than paper and then posting it on my DJ here at DV. If you dont repeat any mantras or have a DJ here on the forum id recommend both.
      Oh, Nobly Born,
      Now is the moment.
Before you is mind, open and wide as space,
      Simple, without center or circumference.
Now is the moment of death.

Thank you for the replies everyone.
Sol - I'll try relaxing a lot tonight.
Puffin - Well, I always usually do that whenever I wake up. Usually some things spark in my mind, but quickly fade away so I forget them accidentally. And also, as soon as I wake up, my eyes pop open. Is it fine to open them upon waking? This might not be a big deal, but I just need to know.

If you're used to doing that, then I suppose it's fine.
Maybe you're just going through a bad recall dry spell.

That's why to the point that a fragment comes in, immediately write it down. I am having the same problem, and sometimes I am very very tired and worn out that I can't write, so the fragment that came in sinks into the void.

Puffin - Yeah, maybe it's just one of those weeks.
