Hey Taosaur, I don't recall knowing you where from Cleveland too! (or do I?). Anyway, yah we got hit hard - but damn, today is like the opposite: clear and sunny! Perfect day for digging out.

Yup, I helped my neighbor get her car out of the driveway this morning, she was stuck since last night. Then the other neighbor helped me with the base of my driveway. Gotta admit, our winters have really been getting weaker over the years. Just two or three bad storms, compared to more consistent snowfalls.

Ya Joe, it's beautiful out today. I just came in from digging everyone out on this end of my street. We got together half a dozen people for a dig-out party.

Well, there's not much in the shots to give you a sense of scale. You'd have to see a pic of the area without snow. But there definitely were areas with much more accumulation than my vicinity - out east mostly.

Here's the view of my backyard from the kitchen (looking at the stairs going to the deck).

Damn, and I thought we got it bad: one foot. Then again, we got a foot of snow on top of all the snow we already have. I guess you murikans are playing catch-up.

In a completely heterosexual way: yes. I lost about 40 pounds and have kept it off for a good long while now. It was a lot of hard work and dedication. I also owe a thanks to all the DV members who encouraged me at the time. I went from around 187 to 145-147 pounds (whatever that translates to in Kilos/stones).

Looks like you got a lot of repair in, all the best to you

The first day/week was good to us. Of course, this was started with a built-in customer base so I had work from the get go. The challenge now is to reach out farther and build a larger work load. The bills are much more demanding now.

And yeah, Gh, I can definitely tell you've lost weight. Nice job, man. Keep it off!! I've gained a little of mine back after losing the free gym at my old job but I just got back into the swing of working out again, so I can't wait to get rid of it again. Haha.

Ah, I should have know since you're in TKD, right? I thought they looked a little small for Chinese broadswords. It was the tassels that threw me off. Hehe.

I know that, but it's a Korean art.

My expertise is in okinowan karate, but i'm teaching tae kwon do because it's the only club at my school In karate we do use swords

Olympic style Taekwon-Do does not use swords. Most (American) schools that teach a broad Taekwon-Do / Karate combination will include Hwarang(do) which has a weapon focus.

OK, original, international, standardized TKD doesn't use swords.

With the scabbard, it was only about $60. I see some "officially licensed" versions of it around, for anywhere from $120 to $160, but I really see no differences in them, and this one is in perfect shape.

No problem. Yeah, they've got some really kickass swords (and some non-bladed weapons, to), with great prices. My last few blades have been from them.

Yeah, I'm looking through the Fantasy section, and found a few swords that they didn't do a bad job on from some Anime shows that I'll probably end up getting also.

Once I order some I'll have to post up some pictures with them.

Not only that but I've gained strength/muscle. Thanks, in part, to you I've been doing lots of push-ups and other exercises. And I'm feeling great as result.
