      DILD class discussion

Theres no way I'm going come up with a syllabus for the DILD course without you guys. This thread is for discussing what information should be included in the DILD course for DVA. Keep in mind, that this syllabus isn't a full blown tutorial, but a brief description of how the classes should flow and what should be included to be explained over the duration of it.

      with that said......

All I know is that the class is going to need an intro with the definition, and examples of DILDs.

Some BASIC homework needs to be thought of, and the the student should be required to keep a dream journal.....and thats all I can think of right now.

A good homework assignment would be to go through their dream journal and find 5 (or 3, or whatever) common themes that could be used as dream signs, and perhaps write a sentence or two about why the person thinks these things are important/significant to them.

Another one could be to do LaBerge's memory exercise thing; I'm not sure what its called or where to find it (someone help me out here) but it is to pick 5 events (or maybe he specifies events) like seeing a firetruck, stopping at a red light, etc. and then whenever the person encounters these things during the day, do a reality check; and then just write a short assessment of how they did. This could be a recurring assignment to judge improvement.

This is definitely something I can help out with as soon as I get my laptop back, it's so hard for me to think properly confined inside tiny iPhone screen. But hey let's try to keep DVA stuff inside the DVA for organizational purposes. If we need to get staff attention to something maybe just make a thread in TTS /GSF with a link to the DVA thread? Ya know, just to try and keep everything in it's proper place so it doesn't get confusing.

Oh and thank you for bringing this to staff attention, that's what we need, more participation.

Read your reply in the to do list thread. Whenever you finish something up...just drop it here so we can take a look at it.

Nice work Nina! There are many members that get confused and don't understand the difference between MILD and DILD. It would probably be a good idea to briefly compare and contrast the two at some point as well.

Hmm, I couldn't really find anything that needed a fix in your little syllabus Aqua. Looks good If I can think of anything, I'll add/suggest.

Ok I did some formatting changes to your post Aqua so that way it's a bit more clear and I added some side notes in bolded gray.
